WARNING: Do not shop here! Owner, John Hamlin and his staff…read moreLori, mislead, lie, cheat and overcharge! Not to mention they are utterly incompetent, inappropriate and lack any knowledge in kitchens or baths. We had so many problems and so many things went wrong, that it is hard to list everything in one post. We had to order and re-order the the bathroom hardware three times. Because, they didn't know what worked in California or not. After that, they did know what values covers matched what values. And, of course after the third time it was still wrong and we had already installed the valve, so we had to compromise and take the value cover we didn't intend on. During all this chaos, Lori lost track of all the parts we had to return and exchange due to her own incompetence and accused us of taking and not returning the parts. Parts that she could not find! Wow, really! Turns out they had them the entire time! She never apologize, coward! We also ordered wall cabinets and a bathroom vanity, from John. Like other customers reviews, we too did not get the correct cabinets for the space intended, as we were told. Our contractor had to take the time to correct cabinets for the kitchen and correct them to work in the bathroom, which was more money I had to pay! He even ordered the wrong sink, twice! Finally, the counter top vendor came and told us the sink was wrong and he could get the correct sink size(sink number 3), and cheaper than John could. The counter top guy was correct. And when confronted, the Owner; John's Hamlin's response was a shoulder shrug and a lame fake smile. Then, he mentioned the counter top vendor has done this many times, and John felt he had sinks to unload. Either way, it is not good. It makes John look week by letting a vendor over power him and his business or he looks incomplete that the vendor has to bail him out and he makes so many mistakes with sinks. If that wasn't enough, they overcharged us on parts, they changed us for things we did not have or use and they had things we paid for listed twice at two different prices! As an example, they changed us $442.46 for a faucet, which they said the gave us the "maximum discount"on! Turns out you can buy the same thing at Ferguson's, Home Depot or Amazon for as little as $379.90. When we went to dispute the final amount due, it took them an hour and twenty five minutes to comprehend and explain their own bill they submitted to us. And, they finally had to reduce the amount due from $958,75 to $588.54 because it was staring them in the face they were wrong! John clams to have over 34 years of experience, in what? If it is in Kitchens and baths, he must have been sleeping those 34 years. He and his business are a complete disaster.

I'm writing this review because Dave's excellent Yelp reviews are what encouraged me to choose him…read moreto reface my cabinets--and I'm so glad I did! Dave completed my kitchen yesterday after a five-day project, and I couldn't be happier with the result. My cabinets were small, dated and overly traditional, and I wanted a cleaner, brighter, more modern look without remodeling the entire kitchen. Cabinet refacing is definitely the way to go if you want a dramatic transformation and excellent value for your money. Dave brought my vision to life with beautiful slim Shaker-style doors, which he extended to give the cabinetry a more streamlined, modern appearance, along with a matte white finish and installed the polished chrome hardware. Dave and his painter, Gilberto, were punctual and communicative, and they always cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. The difference is incredible--the kitchen now feels larger, lighter, and much more contemporary. Dave was knowledgeable, responsive, and attentive to detail throughout the entire project. Refacing was absolutely the right choice for my space, and the quality of the finished work is excellent. I've included some before-and-after photos because the transformation truly speaks for itself. I would definitely recommend Dave to anyone looking to update their kitchen!

There are so many good things to write about Dickinson Cabinetry. Their work is absolutely…read morebeautiful and the cabinets they made are a work of incredible craftsmanship. They worked closely with us to achieve the exact color of stain we wanted for our red oak cabinets and had excellent suggestions for how to make kitchen more functional, as well as more beautiful. Our kitchen is definitely now a work of art! I would highly recommend Dickinson Cabinetry to anyone who would like to have beautiful cabinets built by an outstanding organization that truly cares about the quality of their work. Thank you Mike and Shelly and the fabulous craftsmen for making our dream for the kitchen come true.

5 stars in every way. Long read, here is a detailed review…read more We contacted Mike in mid 2021 for a major job. Very large kitchen in a historic San Francisco home. This was not a $20k or 30k job - it was much bigger. So we had to be absolutely sure of the craftsmanship, the customer service, and more. It had to be fully custom and absolutely world class quality to fit the quality of the home and kitchen remodel. Summary - they delivered beyond my absurdly high expectations. From the very start, my designer had a good feeling about Mike - he was very upfront and transparent, and his whole team was full of nice people. Shelly is very responsive and helpful even with the basic things - you can tell right away they care a lot about attention to detail and to customer service. We hired Mike over 5 others we considered, and he was the most expensive bid actually (not by too much, by about 5% more than the 2nd highest and about 10% more than the lowest). Hiring Dickinson Cabinetry proved to be one of the very best decisions we made in our 1 year long remodel. In the middle of supply chain issues and Covid, Mike was always honest about the timeline. It was a bit longer than I would have liked but that was no fault of Mike's - everything was delayed. But Mike was honest and helpful and level headed about it all. Then came the product and install date. Mike's team, led by Raul, came by for delivery right on time in the morning and let me just tell you - the QUALITY of these cabinets and the wood island is absolutely obvious. The craftsmanship is superb. If you know nothing about cabinets, even then it's obvious. That's the great thing about great things - everyone can tell it's great! Now here is where it starts to get really amazing. We had a few issues and changes requested. Joe was the man here - he was super helpful along with being such a nice guy. He never got annoyed at my small requests and it was clear Joe & Mike wanted my family to be 110% happy. Antonio came by to do touch up work and is a very patient and talented guy. He must have come back 4 times - each time with a smile on his face and endless patience to get it perfect as I wanted it. Antonio did a great job fixing up every little nook and cranny I needed help with - just an awesome job. Some other cabinet makers might make nice cabinets. The Hyatt has nice hotel rooms, too. Mike, Joe, Antonio, Raul, Shelly - they are like the Four Seasons. Every little detail is world class. I have enjoyed every conversation I have had with every member of this team because everyone is just so nice and customer focused and patient. Along with the cabinets being a work of art themselves oozing with quality. If you are considering Dickinson Cabinetry, my strong opinion is you would be making a big mistake if you picked another cabinet maker. Thank you so much Mike, Joe, Antonio, Raul, Shelly!
