More recently, William came back to quote carpeting for my hallway and again took the time to help me understand the different carpet and installation options. I really appreciate his patience, knowledge, and customer service. Thank you very much, William! Installation & Warranty Service -- 1 Star Unfortunately, my experience with the installation and warranty service was very different. The installers had very limited English, which made communicating with them extremely difficult during the installation. I also felt that some of the work was sloppy and had to have the installers return to correct it. They did make the repairs, but the language barrier continued to make the process unnecessarily difficult. About two or three months after the carpet was installed, the corners of the carpet in two of my upstairs rooms began to fray. When I contacted Empire for warranty service, I was told they would not repair the affected areas and that my only option was to completely replace the carpet. For carpet that was only a few months old, I found that response extremely disappointing and felt that the warranty service I received was unacceptable. From what I understand, Empire uses subcontractors for its installations rather than its own employees. My experience with William was excellent, but my experience with the installation and subsequent warranty service was not. Because of these issues, I am unsure whether I would use Empire Today again.

I had water damage to one of my room upstairs due to a radiator leak. I wasn't sure if we needed to do just the 1 room or the whole upstairs since the wood is all connected. When I had spoken to him on the phone he said there may be a slightly different color if we do just the one room. So before he came out, I asked if he can get us both quotes. He came out when I wasn't home but my wife was. He didn't measure anything. Look at the room where the damage was and left. He didn't look at the rest of the upstairs. I didn't get a message for him so I texted him. He gave me a quote for the one room. I asked, do you have a quote for how much it would be for the whole upstairs. He said he didn't look at the other room upstairs. I described the size of the other room upstairs and he texted back with a quote. I asked if you can send me in writing the 2 quotes. He said he has to charge me $150 for the quotes. Then I said, "What? Why?" He never responded. Just in case he didn't see it, I text him again the next day. He didn't respond again. Extremely disappointed with him and his lack of response.
