10/10 I recommend!! Very delicious and flavorful. It is spicy so its definitely for spice lovers!! The servers and kind and ask if you are sure of your order before handing it to you. I like the music playing.

Very delicious food, especially the butter squid. The butter squid has the perfect amount of sweet and chewiness. The server is very nice and conversational. The decor is also quite nice.

Stir-fried Spicy Chicken with Cheese

We ordered the spicy chicken with cheese, kimchi pasta and seafood pancake. For the spicy chicken with cheese, we got a level 7 of spicy which was insanely spicy. It tasted like I was eating the 2x spicy Buldak noodles. Would highly recommend if you enjoy extremely spicy things. The kimchi pasta was honestly my favorite. It was creamy and had some seafood and the flavors were well balanced. The noodles were al dente as well! The seafood pancake was good. They don't skimp on their portions so I definitely feel like you get what you pay for! We ordered three items for two people, with a lot of extras to take home. Service was a bit slow, but there was only one server working that night so it was understandable. The restaurant is pretty much a large pocha. Was a bit empty on a Sunday memorial weekend but I envision there would be many more people on a Friday or Saturday. Would come back again!

This is our second time here, and absolutely loved the budae-jjigae and spicy chicken feet! Spice level 1 was perfect for most people. I really enjoy the atmosphere, lighting, and music here--everything feels very Korean and authentic. They also have a dedicated parking lot, and parking is free if you're dining here. Definitely one of my favorite Korean spots!

One of my favorite place in K Town. The servers are really kind and the foods are awesome!!! must visit place!!

Over $20 tofu soup.. you better buy $5 meal kit
Isabel Y.

I ordered from YaSikNara through Uber Eats last night, and I feel absolutely compelled to leave this review. First, the soondubu (soft tofu stew) was over $20, yet it tasted like someone just threw in plain tofu into instant ramen soup powder. There were no vegetables, no care, no flavor depth--nothing. Even a $4 meal kit tastes better than this. It is a complete ripoff. Second, the chicken wings were inedible. I took one bite and had to throw the rest away. I was really craving Korean-style wings, but this was beyond disappointing. It didn't taste like it had chili or capsaicin. It felt like some kind of chemical or toxic substance was on it. My lips started burning, my tongue stung, and the skin under my nose turned red and irritated. Just to be clear, I love spicy food but this wasn't just spicy. it felt like someone intentionally sabotaged the food. I had to rinse my mouth with ice multiple times, my lips turned red and painful, and I couldn't finish even one wing. How can a restaurant serve something like this? Worst of all, this garbage cost me $160.

Ambiance: it's a late night dine bar style restaurant, located on the second floor of the popular plaza, they validate parking for three hours, just remember to park at the underground level of the garage, neither the ground level of where cvs is located, nor the upper level of the graduate Service: not very fast and forgetful, had to reminder servers a few times to get things right Food & Drink: variety choices on their menu for spicy food and drinks, be careful to choose the spicy level from 0 to 7, with 0.5 increment, anything above 3 could be painful Spicy Chicken Feet - *** overcooked chicken feet, too mushed together Steamed Egg - **** steamed with seafood, recommend Seaweed Rice Ball - ** flavorless Spicy Stir-Fired Pork Feet - **** chewy and tender, flavorful, recommend Watermelon - ** the watermelon scoops were made ahead and seated there too long, not fresh Peach Makgeolli - *** average rice wine CASS - *** light Korean beer TERRA - *** light Korean beer KLOUD - *** light Korean beer Price: moderate portions, and decent prices for food but overpriced for drinks, about $50 per person

The soup was simply delicious with a smooth velvety texture and flavor. The ramen was so good (freshly made every day) in its finest al dente texture with a nice large diameter. Rare in The OC. The rib meat can be removed with chopsticks ! And the most tenderness of protein. The kimchi cabbage and radishes are so delicious. Spicy but not kickass (ok for me) biting into sweetness I've never tasted anywhere in the world that serves K-ramen. Service is most excellent as they immediately greet you, seat you, menu, then, the table top appetizers are served. I believe the owner or chef brought the entrees. That's different! He came out later to see how everything was! As I tried to visit him in the kitchen to compliment, he's gone! Inside has plenty of seating with booths on one side and bench seats on the other with chair seated tables in the middle. Highly recommend this place. Competitively priced. Nothing took away from the experience.

My friend got the chicken kalguksu and my other friend got a soup broth dish with rice on the side (can't remember the name). Everything was really good. I'm looking forward to returning to order a kalguksu for myself. We went on a weekday for lunch and it was pretty busy. Service was a bit slower than we would have expected, even taking into consideration that it was a weekday. We arrived early before the rush but were still impacted by it before we finished. My friend's soup broth dish really should have come out first but it came long last, we had to ask about it. I suspect they forgot/missed it, though they did not acknowledge it.

Their menu is stacked with Taiwanese comfort food classics. Wifey and I opted to share the Joy Combo which comes with a cold appetizer, side of soup, a scallion bread sandwich, and a shaken iced tea. We ended up getting a Sweet & Sour Soup, Wood Ear Mushrooms, and a Scallion Bread Sandwich with Five Spice Beef. Everything tasted amazing and it was a great meal to start off our day. There is a reason why this spot has over 2,000+ positive reviews!

At Joy, Ku delivers a menu of Taiwanese fast-casual fare similar to its sister restaurant (and Michelin-recognized) Pine & Crane. Here, the modern menu of Americanized Taiwanese comfort food feels infinitely more approachable than the dense novels at traditional Chinese banquet halls. Joy is set up on a busy corner of York. Enter to join the queue before a backlit menu board. The cold salad selection is illuminated within the trim deli case. Sturdy wooden stools are pressed up against two-seater tables, while a cushioned half-booth runs along the back wall. Vaguely rural pan-Asian knick-knacks decorate the off-white walls. As the sun sets, the warm lighting feels infinitely more moody. The loud chatter, dance music, and clanging of metal silverware feel more like a bar than a fast-casual Chinese restaurant. My finacee and I visited for an early weekend dinner, and we arrived to a full house. We kicked off our meal with a slice of Sesame Scallion Bread. The puffy triangle was a cross between a hoagie bun and a King's Hawaiian roll. It was neutral and dry by itself, but we enjoyed pairing it with chili oil. Across the rotating sides, we were drawn to the Wood Ear Mushroom and Lotus Root salads. Of the two, we preferred the chewy, oily 'shrooms, but the apple-like texture of the chili lotus root slowly grew on me. My fiancee's favorite dish was the Thousand Layer Pancake with egg and cheese. The piping-hot rolls achieved the crispy-yet-oily combo that most fried dishes only hope to reach. Lastly, the Dan Dan Noodles were creamy but lacked depth of flavor. The Jidori chicken supplement was fine, but I found myself wanting spicy mala and minced pork. The service team worked together like clockwork, and the bill approached $40. Broadly, Joy felt like an Americanized, vegetarian-friendly take on Chinese comfort food. The entire meal was generally enjoyable, and my fiancee firmly swore that Joy exceeded her experience at Pine & Crane. Nonetheless, the flavors and textures (while familiar to the American palate) felt subdued; I'll be more likely to stick to the SGV stalwarts in the future.

Great Soup, but Very Disappointing Koh Galbi Jjim…read more We came to Sun Nong Dan specifically for the Koh Galbi Jjim, so unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The oxtail and back ribs were extremely tough and difficult to chew, which was frustrating considering this was the main reason we decided to dine here. The braised beef short ribs, however, were cooked to perfection--tender and flavorful. It was disappointing that the quality was so inconsistent within the same dish. Interestingly, the soup ended up being the highlight of our meal, even though ordering it was a last-minute decision. The broth was rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful. The rice cakes and dumplings were also delicious and packed with flavor. The restaurant was busy with a large crowd, and the servers did an okay job, nothing particularly outstanding. Overall, the soup was amazing, but it wasn't what we came here for. We came specifically for the Koh Galbi Jjim, and the tough, chewy oxtail and back ribs made the experience fall short of our expectations. It's hard to justify coming back for a signature dish when the main attraction was the biggest disappointment of the meal.

I haven't seen bae-chu kimchi with oysters in a loooong time, esp at a restaurant. Growing up, my grandma/aunts used to make it with oysters and I used to hate it (since I was young and didn't like the slimy texture if I accidentally ate one) but now I totally appreciate how "refreshing" it makes kimchi taste with another layer of brininess to it. I was so surprised when I found that they have the traditional kimchi with oysters. As for food, we ordered jaeng-ban (tray) cold noodles, and that was good! Boy was it a great spot to stop by for dinner. I'm glad that they didn't charge a lot but gave less ingredients. Braised Short Rib $54- tender, a bit sweet, and be prepared to use your hands to grab the ribs. Prices are a bit high but its big and sharable. And unlimited banchans, although I was a bit sad that they ran out of fish cake.
