Had a lovey experience at this Mediterranean restaurant in Bastille! We walked in on a Friday night without a reservation. Though the restaurant was nearly full with no 4 person tables left, the host was extremely pleasant and shuffled things around to make room for us.
We ordered a bunch of items to share - hummus, falafel, baba ganoush, grilled halloumi cheese, salad, yogurt, and lamb skewers, as well as a bottle of a red Lebanese wine (can't remember the exact name unfortunately).
Everything was delicious. The falafel deserves a special shout out - it was super soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside, AND very flavorful - amazing! The lamb was also super tasty and very tender.
For dessert, we ordered the baklava which included several small pastry bites. Each little pastry was unique and everything tasted slightly different from the Greek baklavas we are accustomed to in the US. Delicious!
Service was attentive throughout and the host was incredibly friendly. Quite refreshing given the cold service we received at other restaurants in Paris.
Overall, would highly recommend this place for a casual meal. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the warm service makes such a huge difference. read more
