From the moment I stepped inside, the staff was warm, welcoming, and super knowledgeable. They explained the layout of the store and all the awesome services they offer. It happened to be the weekend, so bonus: samples galore! I tasted granola, cheesecake, a mocktail, a cucumber sandwich (fancy!), and a delightful tea. Spoiler alert: everything was amazing. Speaking of tea, they'll brew up any tea on the shelf for you to sip in-store or take to go! The place is packed with goodies: shelves of teas, spices, flavored sugars, and even some adorable gift items like candles. But my personal win? I've been searching all over for Hungarian paprika. Not only did they have it, they had both sweet and hot varieties. I had no idea paprika came in so many varieties! So many tea shops have tons of black and green teas but only a handful of caffeine-free options. Here, there were probably 40 or so herbal teas to choose from, which was such a treat. I was the only customer in the shop at the time, and the two employees gave me what felt like the royal treatment. They were both incredibly friendly and helpful, asking what I liked, making suggestions, and pulling different teas down for me to smell. They were attentive without being overbearing, and it was genuinely some of the nicest customer service I've had in a while. The shop itself is cute, clean, and well organized. My only hesitation is the pricing. I was pretty shocked when one larger packet and one smaller packet of tea came to about $60. I would have happily bought more if the prices were a little lower, and unfortunately it will probably keep me from visiting as often as I otherwise would. Still, I really enjoyed the experience and am excited to try the teas I brought home!

There are books that explain using things like crystals, rocks, chimes, and auras, for example. I was tempted by the tiny soapstone spirit animals, but decided not to buy any. It's just pretty expensive, but it is well-curated items that should last you. The first class I did was a macaron class! The instructor was great and answered all my questions. We also took a French cooking class, which wasn't my favorite. The food was delicious but I didn't realize how simple it would be. It may just be that I know more about cooking than I give myself credit for but I found it pretty basic. I'll return for future classes but for trickier things I haven't made at home like pasta, pastries and sushi!

She pointed us towards Matilde, a little store just off of the main street, we knew we had to stop in. When we walked in it felt like we were transported to a quaint flower shop in Europe. They have beautifully pre-arranged bouquets or single stem flowers so you can arrange your own. All of the flowers are in beautiful condition and they have a really cool variety full of unique varaites and colors that allows you to tap into your creative side. While the flowers are the MAIN event, they also have a few other unique and beautiful products including candles, books, and pottery. This is such a fun store to explore and will definitely be visiting again to curate a beautiful bouquet for my next dinner party!

I asked about framing an embroidery piece I had finished and asked about having no glass in the frame. Then she said something like "well, it depends on if you want it to last or not." I said of course I wanted it to last and she said "you should get glass because yada yada yada." I should have left then. But against my better judgment and gut instinct, I asked for a quote and again she was pretty rude and answered "I'm happy to give you a quote but I am not doing any framing at this time." It was the tone of her responses that was just so rude. I guess the car accident she was in didn't just hurt her neck or whatever ability she had to frame items, but definitely injured any warmth, kindness, hospitality or helpfulness. I will not EVER darken her door again. Do NOT recommend this place.
