I've visited Next Millennium twice before, and up until now I've always had pleasant experiences with both the products and the customer service. Unfortunately, my most recent visit will be the reason I won't be returning. I went in to purchase a new gem ring and some stones, and after checking out, I got in line for a tarot card reading. I ended up waiting over 30 minutes. During that time, I noticed every other customer being helped without issue. I was also the only African American customer there. When it was finally my turn, the reader immediately asked me to show proof of payment. Customers are required to pay beforehand which I had already done and I didn't see her ask anyone else for a receipt. The request felt targeted, and the energy shifted from that moment on. I ultimately felt uncomfortable enough to ask for a refund. While my past visits were positive, this experience left me feeling singled out and unwelcome. I absolutely love Next Millennium! Any time I want new crystal jewelry or new crystals, I will come here! All of the staff here I have ever interacted with is so kind and helpful. They have great quality stones and jewelry. I always get my moonstone pieces here. Everyday I wear my moonstone rings and necklace I got from here. My favorite part about Next Millennium is their rock room. This incredible room has almost any raw cut or polished crystal you could ever want. I love just walking around the rock room and looking at all the crystals they have to offer. I think that everything here is also fairly priced. They have a crystal room full of a huge variety of stones and crystals! But it is the quality of the people and management that matter the most. Considering their vibrations are surrounding the stones and crystals daily, they also influence that energy in every stone, so it is crucial for there to be good people around them. Fortunately, Charlie, the owner, who goes above and beyond to provide to his customers, has influenced those vibrations to commit to you as he is committed to his community. My personal experience with Charlie, upon a specific request, he did not disappoint. I was searching for a large Citrine tower, they didn't have any in store and he said he'd get back to me. When some arrived, he contacted me personally to let me know that they were in and he delivered! AND I had options! When I visit, and he is there, I am greeted with joy and a true "welcome back!" His smile is contagious as well as his upbeat personality. Although the management is incredible, it is vital for the customer service to be as well. There is one person in particular that I want to acknowledge, her name is Laura. My first visit, she guided me through the store, answering all of my questions with grace. Now I have to mention this because you will know who I'm speaking about if you visit or have visited - Her voice is welcoming--like taking a bite out of freshly woven cotton candy so as you can imagine, she is easy to listen to and understand, she doesn't rush and she's not giving surface-level answers. She educates, she doesn't regurgitate like other Pinterest Parots. You can tell she knows her stuff and her years of hard work shine when helping others. Laura is a gem of this place. Not only does Next Millennium have almost everything you need to get started on your spiritual journey, there is a spot in the store that is designated to readers such as psychic, tarot, and bone readers. Papa Newt, a bone reader, works with Next Millennium and provides his services there, too. He is a BLAST! I'm not someone who has readings done in public places for obvious reasons, however, I was drawn to him for good reason. He doesn't hold back and has that "best friend" vibe and considering that he has been doing this for 16+ years, he dedicated and it shows. He speaks with you, not at you. In summary, Next Millennium has almost everything you need when it comes to spiritual supplies. But more importantly, they have a community of people. Some make you feel welcome, however, others are there to do their job and duties. Next Millennium is an an alternate religion/philosophy store tucked off of a major street near Westroads mall. I had been looking for a store like this in Omaha closer to where I live instead of going all the way downtown. The store is well organized and has a great variety of items. There is even a person who reads tarot in store! Pretty cool. I went to look for smudge sticks and candles for a recent move. They have a great variety of candles, some that have been charged and some that have not been anointed and clear for your own energy. They also have an impressive amount of books ranging from spellwork to metaphysical practices to yoga. Lots of different crystals, rocks and gems to suit all needs. Great selection of tarot decks, clothing, jewelry, even some goth and fantasy decor for your home. My one gripe? The prices are marked up. I can get most of the items sold in store much cheaper either through the company directly or just online. I know that part of the markup is due to being in a physical store but I still had a hard time paying some of the prices I saw listed.. If you are looking for something not ordinarily found or are a student of esoteric knowledge, you are guaranteed to find something here. read more

I've shopped at this store since it was over on 72nd. If you're looking for New Age, Wiccan or metaphysical items, this is the place to go. They sell bulk herbs, tapestries, books, statues, jewelry, candles, wind chimes and feng shui items. They have a huge selection of rocks and minerals and they've got an entire wall devoted to tarot cards. They also have probably the largest selection of incense in all of Nebraska. Every time I walk into this store it's like my body thinks it's going to get a long massage followed by a trip to a hot tub. Not really, but that's how insanely calming it is just to walk in the door. The atmosphere is excellent. Light music, incense burning somewhere in the store and a friendly staff. I agree staff and store are excellent, very helpful and welcoming and knowledgeable about healing stones. I liked the energy even better than LA stores I've been too in the past. I could look in that place for days and still find something new and interesting i think, I like they are closer than the lone one in KCMO with muccchhh better parking. they even wrapped my candle so well that the glass holder it was in when I dropped it on concrete by accident, it didn't break. affordable. love my obsidian bracelet I went in for and they have a calendar online with events and readings if anybody wants one. love that Omaha has cool places like this! read more

My husband and I go to this store all the time! The staff and guests they have are beautiful, amazing people. We have bought books, stones, jewelry and had readings. Every item and experience we have had has been excellent. We are from the west coast where these types of stores are everywhere and the Next Millennium is top notch. This store has an incredible selection of witchy wares to Angel statues at Tarot cards to books. I believe that I saw all bases covered as far as anything metaphysical goes and I've been to stores all over the country. The best thing, however, was the people. I got a fantastic reading from a man who throws bones, met and conversed with the owner who is very friendly and every person in the store was just wonderful. A relative and I used to go here all the time, from back when it was on 72nd St. He even donated a lot of like-new occult books to them, for free, which no doubt brought in a pretty penny. No thank you from the store at all. But the real reason we stopped going was because the Owner would single us out when we were in there, even when we went in on separate occasions, and glance inside my purse, and basically make us feel suspect of some wrong-doing. Maybe he has some loss prevention issues? But that is no reason to act obviously suspicious of anyone. As minorities we are sensitive to this sort of thing. There were several such incidents from the owner like this, over a span of years, all the time we were good, loyal, paying customers. It even occurred while we were at the Mystic Fair (which we will no longer attend) where he stared suspiciously at us as we waited near his booth for our reader to call us over and had his photographer follow us around. WOW. There was nowhere else for us to stand! Believe this review or not, we wont be giving him or the store our money anymore and we haven't. He is not as perceptive as he thinks he is if he suspected us! And we are intuitives also, so his intentions and suspicions were just as I say. Aries men; can't easily pigeon hole someone, or "figure them out" so automatically jump to the WRONG conclusions. Offensive! We did leave our review on here before, I just noticed it went missing. No, Charlie, we wont call to discuss it as we know you wont admit it. Maybe your prejudices are that unconscious, no matter- you will learn from these mistakes, trust that. Too bad, too. Ordered something that was on their site. No contact from them and no reply to email. Had to ask on Facebook to get some acknowledgment of my order. Owner Charlie informed me it " is currently out of stock, but we expect more to arrive in the next week or so". When i mentioned that it would have been nice if the company had let me know on their own or had any contact with me at all after i ordered or listed it on their website that it was out of stock Charlie had a temper tantrum and cancelled my order and deleted the conversation on Facebook so no one wold be able to see his actions. I would strongly advise against ordering anything from them based on his actions and the fact I've read others ask about the order they placed and had no contact from them to find out its not in stock actually. read more

The atmosphere is really inviting and welcoming. They have lots and lots of crystals. Sad to say I won't be returning to a store I once frequented. After my last (large) purchase, I was told by the owner that if I spent $35 more on my next visit/s, I would get a $20 store credit. I went there today to redeem it and was told there was only a record of a $10 purchase, and asked if I had my receipts. I explained I did not, as no one told me to keep them, and that my last purchase was over $130, not $10. I confirmed that I was the only one to make purchases on that account. She apologized and said she couldn't help me. Nothing further on the matter. I was very disappointed. read more

I really love this shop. The staff is ALWAYS super friendly, they make sure to greet you upon arrival and every visit more than one staff member has made sure to ask if I need any help. The owners are very kind and you can tell that they care about their customers as well as their employees and aren't there just to make an enormous profit. If you love crystals and everything metaphysical, this store has it ALL! While they were closed due to COVID, the staff was super helpful in helping me to find some Amethyst clusters that I needed to make gemstone trees that I sell. They took the time to send me photos that matched what I was looking for in size and shape and had it all ready for me when I arrived for curbside pickup. There's another metaphysical store a few miles away, and while they have beautiful items, I have NEVER felt welcomed in that store as I do at Next Millennium. It's no wonder Next Millennium has been around for 25 years, and it wouldn't surprise me to see this shop outlast the others in the area, based on their customer service alone! I'm fairly new to the area, only recently discovered this store. I went once and got a great vibe. Staff was friendly and helpful despite being swamped with customers (that was due in part to the store having been closed two days prior b/c of snow). It was crowded but not chaotic and the owner was so nice and friendly. I can't wait to go back, next time without my young daughter so I can browse to my heart's content. read more

I would give this store a five star review except that the owner appears to have a problem with minorities. I say this because after years of loyal patronage, instead of being grateful he simply appears unduly suspicious of me and my family. I hope I'm wrong, because I like to shop here. It's one of the only places around where you can get your metaphysical needs met and his employees are all really great. They were also so accomodating to me, and my friend's, little 7 year old girls. As you can imagine, together they are a handful. They are great at answering questions.
