They also have a selection of local favorites, which I bought Brookside Bungalow which is a very fresh, clean, relaxing scent. The store will be celebrating their 20th anniversary on Sept 23.... A dozen votive candles for $36 (usually $42.50). Tip -The container of Brookside Bungalow can be brought back and refilled for $2/oz with any of the scents they are filling that month. Lori is a dedicated and passionate owner that has a keen sense of what works together. The shop carries over 170 different scents which means there is literally something for everyone there. They don't have just have candles but wax melts, home décor, oils, and a variety of candle sizes. Lori was a guest on my podcast, Kansas City Confidential, where she shared all about the process of making their products and some of her favorite scents. This gem of a store has been so clutch over the years for picking up gifts. Some of the people in my life are, um, a little hard to shop for, but when I come in here, I always come away with something great. It's all so well-curated; some gifts are classy, some funny, and many are versatile. It beats the socks off of going into a big box store in a million ways. Being in a charming stretch of a walkable area adds to its appeal, and the staff is always friendly. They also have Pickwick candles which are some of the best in town. They always do a nice job, the flowers are fresh and look as advertised, and the best part? This is a local business. I will say they aren't cheap, but with the end result being consistently good I do think it's worth it and they deliver pretty much anywhere in the metro which I think is really great considering that we have such a big area. I've delivered as far north as the Northland and as far south as 172nd street and they've been on time and done a nice job. I'll be back!
