Mostly it was candles left over from the holidays. Wintery scents. I asked the clerk why the location was closing and she advised that they were not signing a new lease. That's a trend in retail right now. Whose to blame, the recession or the mall groups with their high rents. Truly a loss for this mall, but at least you can still buy Yankee Candle products in the Hallmark store that is still in Perimeter. Will be missed. But one of the sales lady told me that most of the staff was placed at other stores, so, thats a good thing.

The tablecloth I chose was vintage Brandenburg lace. Right in the middle of the dinner party one of my guests brought to my attention that the red tapers were copiously dripping red beeswax on my vintage tablecloth. I remained calm and did not disrupt the dinner party. With a certain amount of savoir-faire, I explained that I had superb dry cleaners and that they would take care of the problem the following Monday -- which they did for a very expensive $40 bill. Thankfully, however, my beautiful tablecloth was restored. Sometimes I can be a slow learner. I purchased a gorgeous pair of orange tapers for the following Thanksgiving. Using different candlesticks I attempted to place these tapers without success. They kept falling out just as the Christmas tapers had done the year before from different candlesticks. I trimmed the base and melted a little wax from the rounded bottom of each taper into the candlestick. I chose crystal candlesticks that could accommodate both pillar candles or tapers thinking that that would protect my orange pumpkin tablecloth from drips. In both cases it was a nightmare getting the tapers to stay upright but I finally managed it. Again, the candles copiously dripped beeswax. These candles are lovely but they are too much trouble. I will not be purchasing them again.

Lucky is the person who has a Big Dipper Wax candle. I first tried their candles when I bought them at a PCC market. I was obsessed with the Meditation smell (rosewood and cedarwood), so I went to their website and ordered the discounted Valentine's and Christmas candles to try more! They came in the mail with an extra gift! There was a hand written note on my invoice that said thank you for the order and that they included a free lip balm. I love it! My lips were indeed extra dry that morning, and the calendula oil with vitamin E, peppermint, beeswax, etc. really helped and felt light on my kisser. I haven't tried burning the Valentine's candles yet, but the smell in that box is even more amazing than I had imagined it could be. Check them out.

It was their annual candle sale, so the store was absolutely packed despite the fact we're in a pandemic. Why they lose a star - I didn't see any signage requiring masks nor did they have sanitizer out for public use, despite the fact they sell it. They didn't limit capacity and knowing this is their biggest sale weekend of the year, they should have limited the amount of people they let in at once. Customers were on top of each other, reaching over each other, craziness as if it were a normal world. This is especially problematic because the way most people decide what to buy in this store is by smell, so it requires one to pull down their mask. The selection was good, they had adequate stock anticipating the high amount of traffic they'd receive. There wasn't any scent that I wanted that I couldn't get, I was satisfied with my selections. They did have a good setup as far as waiting in line for the registers and had all of them open so the line moved quickly. The cashiers were friendly and I had no complaints about customer service. Overall, I will visit this store again without thinking twice.

I visited about a week ago for my mother's birthday to participate in the candle-making class. The…read moreactual candle-making experience was enjoyable, and we had a great time during the class. At the end of the session, we were told the candles would take about two hours to set. However, we were also informed that they would be closed on Monday, so we stayed in contact throughout the week to coordinate a pickup. Unfortunately, we've attempted to pick up our candles on three separate occasions, and each time the business was closed. I also reached out via email and never received a response. After multiple attempts with no communication and no way to retrieve the candles we paid to make, the experience became very frustrating. While the class itself was fun, not receiving the finished product completely changed my overall impression. It felt very unprofessional and, honestly, a bit scammy. I hope they improve their communication and ensure customers can actually receive the products they've paid for

Lol The process was so smooth: so you select which ceramic style piece you want to make you candle in and the prices varied which you will see. I went witht he black and my bestie went with an iridescent green color. Giana explained the scent wall to us and I loved the concept of using the cork tops to combined and make your own scent. Our work stations were extremely nice and neat and we had free rain! We were there a little over an hour and jammed to music and conversation and just a great time! We had to leave our candles so that Giana could finish up the process and we could come back in 2 hours to get them but we left them and still need to pick them up.
