Candle making class
Danielle O.

My guy friend remembered that I like to create. We opted for the candle making class which got me super excited. I wanted this foundation to see if I enjoy the process & want to make more. Unsure of the price, he paid. Could be around $30-45 per person. The jars are simple, they offer upgrades in crystals or melt & pour for massage. Fragrance options are plenty. It could almost give you a headache in the space. Parking is behind the store in a medium size lot. IF you're in the class, parking is free. IF you stay longer than maybe 1 or 1.5 hrs, you must pay the attendant $10/per car and CASH only. I don't carry cash, but there's a slightly shady ATM on the street. You cannot wait around in the store, arriving early is useless bcos they run the classes back to back. Overall it was a great experience. I'd take it only one other time if on a date with someone else

Attended the candle making class for my line sisters and I. We loved the experience from beginning to end. The young ladies were so friendly and super accommodating. The class is only 30-45 minutes but anything longer would probably drag so it was perfect. They had a DJ which was GREAT! I felt like the class was informative and really fun. Price point For everything was really reasonable in my opinion. I would definitely return.

I loved my experience at the candle making class! My friend and I dropped by on a Saturday to try a new activity. As soon as we walked in, there was a nice aroma in the air and tons of unique (both in looks and smells) candles everywhere. Our class started right on time, and the instructor guided us throughout the process. It was so much fun exploring the vast range of essential oils to find the best combination for my candle. I eventually settled on Pink Grapefruit and Lemon. After mixing the oils with liquid wax, we left the store and returned two hours later to pick up our candles once they were more solid. The whole experience was a blast, and my candle smells amazing. This is a great relaxing activity to do either solo or with a group of friends.

Amazing experience! This is a cute, black woman-owned business! I loved that it seemed like a family affair! The owner is extremely creative and was making some hot chocolate candles. They were beautiful! I loved the wine and desert shaped candles too. Our instructor walked us through the steps carefully and was very patient and full of energy! I really enjoyed customizing my scent and coming up with a cute sexy name for my candle! This is a great date night activity!!

I was in the neighborhood and saw the sign for beeswax candles, so I decided to stop in. They had a few small ones (not in jars) and tapers. They had mostly soy/coconut blend. There was a candle making class going on when I was there. I bought some of the sale (40%off) candles which were just leftovers from the class that students didn't come back to pick up. I still thought they were pricey, but I was already committed. If you want authentic candles and other products, this is a great shop, but be ready with your $$.

The candle making class was such a great experience! The business is owned by two sisters and their brother. It's located in Little 5 Points next to Abbadabba's. I made reservations previously, but overheard that they take walks ins for the classes as well. The classes are $35 per person. The shop sells a few different candle brands as well as their own signature candles and items such as candle accessories soaps, oils etc. We sat at large table with other groups for the class. You get to choose two scents for your candle. They have a large selection of fragrances to choose from. The instructor was easy to follow and she guided us every step of the way. The class went by fairly quickly. We were given stickers to place on our candles and we were able to name them. The candles need two hours to solidify, so if you go to a late class you'll have to pick up the candle at a later date. We really enjoyed ourselves and the staff was very helpful. I loved the personalized elements of being able to choose various scents and naming your candle. You can bring your own wine and you'll get %20 percent off of items in the store when you attend the class.

We had a great time here. I took my god-daughter to one of the candle making classes and she loved it. The directions were easy to follow. I had the hardest time finding a scent I liked. I ended up with an alright combination but it doesn't move me like pre made candles I've had in the past. It's me though...I know what I don't like...there were sooo many choices but I still couldn't find one I loved. The lady running the class was very patient and tried to help me. I would try again but I need to come super early so I can take my time and find the perfect scent. I haven't picked the candles up yet. Online I thought I read they needed an hour to set so we were going to stay close and eat then go back but it's two hours. I was not able to wait two hours. I'll pick it up tomorrow. The shop itself is quaint. Lots of candles already made you can choose from. Really worth checking out.

I really enjoyed my experience here I would definitely come back. Cute for a girls day or date night and my candle smells so good and lasted long. Free parking behind the building which is a plus in little 5 points and I love that it's bring your own bottle ! Plan a day at 5 points when you come because you have to wait 2 hours for your candle to set

My personal fragrance!!

The hosts are incredibly kind and patient as they teach each customer to create a special candle of their choosing .

This was such a cute experience!! I found Bear and Honey, a black-owned business, while looking for a date night experience for my boyfriend and me. Located in Little Five Points, it's pretty easy to find the storefront but definitely not a ton of parking so be prepared. There's a couple public parking lots (one down the road by Hattie Bs for $10, one behind for $20), but we managed to find parking in residential areas down the street. Once there, you check in and have a seat at either the table in the back or countertop (depending on class size and what's clean). First, you pick out your 2 scents to mix and there were a LOT. I had a hard time choosing so our instructor helped recommend me a pairing. (Our favorites: the coffeehouse and vanilla and the alpine mountain honey and jasmine!). Next, the instructors walk you through getting your jar set up, mixing your scent oils into the wax, pouring it into your jar and decorating. In total, the class took about 30-45 minutes and then they ask you to come back in about 1.5-2 hours. They offer a 20% discount on anything in the store if you take a class so we bought a few more candles (they even let us stack the discount on their clearance items AND they held on to our purchases so we didn't have to carry them around!) After, there's plenty to do around Little Five Points so we walked around shops and had a happy hour. When we came back for pickup, the staff wrapped our candles very cute and neatly (perfect to immediately give as a gift if you want!). Overall a 10/10 experience, and HIGHLY recommend if you're looking for something fun to do in Atlanta!!

If olfactory sensations came with sound, there would have been a very large WHAM when I walked in the room. The scents coming at you are an assault. WHAM! A wall of scents. And you go face-first into it. Which struck me as weird, since you need to be able to smell other things to make your candle, one wonders why the entire place is scented to the point of sensory overload. (Plus, the smell of this place, while not unpleasant, stayed with me for several hours until I took a shower. It's in my clothes eight hours later. Weird.) PLUS, there's music and a certain hustle and bustle that did not make for a polite, meditative experience that I thought I'd find when thinking about candles. And I get it. They're trying to make this a hip, cool thing to do, and I think they've succeeded. But when I think of candles, I think of quiet times--a polite scene that might involve wine and some romance--not Busta bustin' in the background. Still, the candle class with my friends was fun. The class itself is a really decent value. But if you have any experience with any kind of crafting, you're going to be bored. At one point I wanted them to just give me free rein with my candle. I also thought there would be more color involved in the creation of these candles. But no. Just scents. WHAM WHAM WHAM! It took a couple of hours for the candle to cure. We decided to go across the street and grab some food while this happened. Picking up the candle was easy. Staff was super friendly throughout the entire process. They wrapped up the candle very nicely with a small flower presentation for taking home.

I love that this experience is right in the heart of Little 5 Points! It's reasonably priced at $35 per person and last about 30-45 mins to complete. I recommend doing this first if you have several things you plan to do/see in L5P b/c you do have to return to pick up your candle once it's solidified (takes about 1-2hrs) See the full experience on my IG (Sydneyyrhodess) Being that there's multiple eateries and shops in that area I would suggest passing time at those places while you wait!

This place is absolutely adorable. Tons of unique candles and candle holders. I went for a class and had so much fun mixing my own candle. Would definitely come again. And you get a discount if you bring your candle holder back for a mixing class if I'm not mistaken.

Nice display area, again with bears.

Amazing scents! When wrapping your candle up, they put a little dried rose on wrapping around the candle. Perfect gift for anyone!

Greetings consumers, I used to be a regular at yeye's…read morebotanica but sad to say that even I, a brother/king, experienced disgusting and rude treatment for no reason at all. I was informed that I make the employees feel uncomfortable but they had no explanation. I swept their floor once and they were extremely friendly there but sadly, over time, even after I purchased from their assortment of supposed "traditional/cultural" wares that they have dropped products and broken "artifacts." Not to mention that they partake in the consumption, production, experimentation with illegal substances such as Methamphetamines (ice/crystal meth), illegal marijuana production/sale, and other illegal activities. I would not recommend this place to anyone whom is seeking holistic benefits/treatment/information/guidance as they are highly prejudiced, disrespectful, non-respectful and overall are ignorant to what it means to conduct business in this area. They are unregulated and should be closed down for their enigmatic business formation. They are also not exhibiting proper traditional reiki, Ifa, and whatever else they falsely claim. Not to mention their value is highly incredulous, too pricey. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Thanks for reading, - A Highly Displeased Ex-Customer

The gift was going to Colorado. Since it was a "Christmas gift" I assumed that it would arrive timely or within a day or two. I emailed the company since I had no tracking number on the 23rd of December. Their response was they were preparing the order that day. Note: 5 days after placing the order, And I would receive a tracking number. Furthermore, they said there was a disclaimer regarding a delay in shipping. Well...I never heard a word back, so I went back to the website. I checked the pages that I visited and there was no indication that the "Christmas Gift" would not be shipped timely. I then went to the order tracking page, where I found the tracking number and at this point I learned the "Christmas Gift" would not be delivered until JANUARY 2, 2025! -That is 16 days from ordering date. Apparently customer service is not a priority. I am now extremely concerned about my order and if it is going to be what I ordered. If not I will immediately initiate a charge back through my credit card company!! Extremely disappointed!!!!!! Merry Christmas, Karen I hope you get everything you wished for on Christmas.
