The staff at smile boutique are super friendly, and the interior is nice and spacious. But the best two things were the price and the quality. I don't know what their other services cost, but I do know what it costs normally to reattach a veneer. In Guadalajara, where I've had it done before a couple of times, I think it ran me in the neighborhood of $150 each trip. But I had to fly there, I had to pay for a hotel room, food, and transportation and everything else. In the past, I have been able to get my original Dentist, to reattach these pop offs for free, but he had told me the last time I went to see him that the future price would be 1250 to reattach one veneer. Dr. Dan did everything in 19 minutes for 200 bucks. You can't beat it!! Thank you, Dr. Dan and all the staff of Smile Boutique who were so pleasant and helpful!!!

First thing I was asked was for a $404 consultation fee. I informed her that I had very good dental with coverage that paid in a timely matter. When I showed her the insurance card, she leaned over her computer and said, "Then you do it" in a very nasty tone. She gave me a receipt for the $404 payment with no detail or coding as to what the charges were for (a convenience store has more detail on a receipt). So, of course this will not work for reimbursement. Never experienced such a stressful and frustrating dental visit. Not sure why the bookkeeper was so rude and unhelpful. Will also never set foot in this office or any other Smile Boutiques in the future!

I've been avoiding the periodontist for receding gum on a single tooth for a long time. I decided…read moreto get braces, but no orthodontist would do it without that recession being checked by a periodontist first. I did go to an orthodontist who referred me to their partner periodontist. Then I visited that periodontist and did not have good vibes at all. They were 45 minutes late to the appointment, they hardly checked anything and they gave me no options. They said it was what it was. They said it was absolutely necessary that I solve the recession prior to getting the braces. I looked around for another periodontist and found Dr. Horowitz. I liked what I read in some of the review so I decided to make a consultation appointment. I had been looking everywhere for alloderm because the whole taking tissue from the roof of your mouth and putting it somewhere else sounds horribly disgusting to me. Oddly enough after speaking to Dr. Horowitz, he said he could do either process. I found myself feeling much more comfortable with the traditional process. I asked about orthodontics and was given a different orthodontist that I could check out, and I did. Both Dr. Horowitz and the new orthodontist agreed that the straightening of the teeth should begin before the recession issue is solved so that I don't need a second surgery for the recession. I'm glad I looked around and got another opinion. Dr. Horowitz is great. So is the whole team and the office staff.

I need a special procedure, so I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Horowitz, and it was very easy to get an appointment. The office lobby is modern, clean, and well organized. The staff is very friendly and great about following up with insurance information and questions, which I really appreciated. Dr. Horowitz is friendly, caring, and very thorough. He takes his time explaining your situation and clearly goes over the options available to address the issue. I never felt rushed, and I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. I highly recommend Dr. Horowitz.

The entire staff made me feel comfortable and reassured throughout the whole process. They were patient, answered all of my questions, and genuinely cared about making sure I was comfortable. I had a very unpleasant experience at Synergy a couple of years ago. I went there to have a cyst…read moreremoved after the practice was recommended to me, but the procedure and follow-up care resulted in one of the most painful months of my life. From the beginning, there were problems. The staff struggled to place the IV before the procedure, and afterward I experienced severe, ongoing pain that made it impossible to sleep. I repeatedly called the office because I felt something was wrong, but I was told that the pain was normal and that I should continue flushing the area. After several weeks, I insisted on being seen. I wasn't evaluated by my doctor and was instead seen briefly by an assistant, who discovered that the area was infected and needed to be drained again. The pain eventually subsided, but the entire experience was excruciating. What concerned me most was that my repeated reports of severe pain were dismissed, and the office never followed up with me afterward. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice.

I love Danielle so much. She has helped me so much make my teeth better and I feel so much better…read moreabout myself. She always gives me tips and advice if needed to make my teeth healthier and she's so understanding about concerns. She's the best hygienist I've ever encountered. The receptionists are all so nice as well. They care about us too. They're always so friendly and welcoming when I come in. I never feel nervous. I used to have insurance issues where my cleanings weren't getting covered when my insurance said it should be. So I informed them about that miscommunication and they looked into my record and corrected the error and refunded me for the charges I paid for that my insurance covers. They even gave me a full billing claim paper to show me all the things covered by insurance and not covered by insurance so that I could call and verify with my dental insurance that that was true. Human error happens and insurance transitions can get complicated and mixed up so I appreciate that they took the time to fix my insurance claims and I haven't had issues since.

Don't just look at all the good reviews without looking at the bad reviews. It's horrible to see…read morethe consistency in their treatment and insurance gimmicks. It's even more flabbergasting to see the response from Issac with an unprofessional condescending unapologetic tone. You can hear it through his words. Oh boy this makes my negative experience sound light even tho Issac wasn't involved. Well I guess without dragging on my poor experiences with them. I felt the money drive from the beginning and the press for repeated consultations on my root canal. The price quote I received the first time, change to an even more expensive charge after I had a dispute with the front desk. Nice smiles, pretty faces, but are not trained how assist with efficient solutions and thorough clarity of communication . Addressing concerns of makes them defensive and they either say the wrong thing or don't say anything at all. Lack of customer service skills. When I requested to speak to the owner I was directed to Mario. Seemed nice on the first call explaining my dilemma and he compensated a cleaning I was turned away (to get at first when they only told me when I got their my insurance doesn't cover it after I spoke to them the day before to confirm appointment) for the inconvenience. He acted concerned and said he will make sure any other service ( my root canal) will be discount and make sure I'm happy because "Money didn't matter to their practice". Now that's when I should have ran to the reviews to see if they follow what they say, and believed my gut... cause he was overly nice. Red flag That was then when I erased my attempt to yelp thinking it would be what he said. The jokes on me. Following week I then got my cleaning by the Hygienst that I like they set up another root canal counseling, which even he was confused why I was there. The story wasn't gonna change on what I needed and he really didn't do anything but agree with what was said in my file. I then came back to the front and the quote I got was more than the first one. The same girl I have a dispute with had a dismissive attitude, tried to smile thru it but neglected the point of being there. I asked is this discounted she said yes ( which it wasn't as I have my other statement from prior) and then I left out having to go back in to mention the appointment I needed to make for next appointment. I asked why didn't you finalize appointment and she said cause " you didn't seem you wanted it". That was not true as when she asked me did I want to set it up I said yes we just got into the discussion about the price and Mario. Instead of her referencing back to it to confirm she was dismissive like mentioned earlier. When I left I called Mario to share the in counter that he said he would make sure he would talk to front desk about previously as a follow up and he didn't answer. In that call I left a voice note explain in case he was out of town and he didn't return my message. With in the last 3 months I have phoned and left messages 8 different times and he refuses to address where we left off to correct what he said he prides his will to make sure customers are happy cause he would want that to happen to him and his family. My son and I were inconvenienced and had to make different trips back just for her mishap several times as I minimize the encounters because clearly the other clients have bigger problems than I do. I'm just glad I didn't give them my money. They got what they needed from insurance. Guess I was pushed out of there practice like other customers on here I see where but silently. The way Mario has handled me makes sense why the mask on their office seems nice at first unlit it's not and then they are passive aggressive. I hope this awareness brings clients to know their worth and money should be more valued than this.

UPDATE 10 months post LANAP, October 2026:…read more I wanted to write a follow up as I had such good results since my LANAP procedure in December. I already breathed a sigh of relief at my July visit when my pockets were measured for the first time again. Initially, they were 5-9mm in a lot of places pre treatment. In July, all pockets had reduced to 4-5mm. Yesterday, all pockets measured at 4mm or below! I am so relieved and happy that the procedure was so successful already and well worth it. Dr. Penhaskashi's expert care, the regular cleanings and me staying on top of my oral hygiene led to fantastic results. I could have cried at the news! You can read about my initial traumatic experience with a different periodontist below, who immediately wanted to extract teeth and do several surgeries. I am so glad I got a second opinion and landed in the hands of Dr. P who always tries his best to preserve teeth for as long as possible. I also received a recommend for an Orthodontist, who has been equally amazing. I'm just so grateful to have found Dr. Penhaskashi's office. I want to also shout out Margaret and the entire office staff once more as well as Jasmine, my hygienist, who has been so wonderful, kind, and excellent in her care. Finally someone showed me the best way to floss. Initial review, December 2025: Look no further if you're searching for a caring, kind, compassionate, and thorough periodontist. I came to Dr. Penhaskashi after a terrible experience with another periodontist that comes once a month to my dentist's office. I'm not sure if that is part of the reason, but that periodontist saw me for all of five minutes, simply said it doesn't look great, said a tooth needs to be extracted, gave me a two minute video to watch about grafts, then told me I'd get a cost estimate and just left. Zero explanation as to what he would want to do and I just sat in my car afterwards crying feeling helpless and terrified. That's when my search for a new periodontist started. Likely similar to you, I read so many reviews and decided to give this office a call. From the first contact with Celeste I knew I made the right decision. She was so empathic and reassuring that I actually looked forward to my appointment and to meeting her. On the day of my first appointment everyone I encountered was just so kind and wonderful. Special shout out to Margaret, the treatment coordinator, who managed to calm me down as I was in tears when I shared my previous experience with her. During this first visit x-rays were taken and Dr. Penhaskash explained what treatment he would suggest immediately and other things that should need to be tackled down the road. He has a very calm, caring nature and also a much appreciated sense of humor. He takes his time and educates his patients on the state of their oral health and possible reasons for it without ever shaming them or making them feel guilty or embarrassed, which is an experience I had previously. He even gave me kudos for seeking out a new periodontist as many are too scared and anxious after a bad experience and delay treatment until it might be too late to save their teeth. If you're being suggested to LANAP, don't hesitate. It might sound a little scary and invasive, but it really isn't. I had minimal pain after the initial numbing. I chose "laughing gas" for my first visit, but won't for the second as I don't find it's necessary now that I know what to expect. The worst part is the initial injections for numbing and that's over quickly. And while everyone's recovery is different, I woke up with zero pain the next morning just 12 hours post surgery. Oh, the tooth the other periodontist wanted to extract right away will stay for now. In Dr. Penhaskashi's words "let's give it a chance." The other Dr. did not have LANAP training and therefore less options available. If you're anxious like me but know that you need help regarding your oral health, don't hesitate to visit Dr. P for a consultation. You will be in good hands!

Although we did have a good experience with Dr. Penhaskashi for my teenage daughter's gum…read moresurgery--and he does have a great bedside manner. My complaint? We always have to wait AT LEAST one hour or more after our appointment time before we are seen by the doctor or sometimes even before we actually get into the chair for the appointment start with the nurse. Every. Time. It is so unprofessional and rude to make patients wait. Book your patients more spread out as we always have work, school, appointments and other commitments than to sit in the waiting room for over an hour.
