This was my very first dental implant experience, and after consulting with several doctors, I chose Dr. Bak based on the consistently excellent reviews and his specialization in implants and I'm so glad I did. Honestly, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would! From the very beginning, the entire team was professional, kind, and reassuring. They also offer a 10% discount for cash payments, which was very helpful financially. My procedure was in early December. I checked in at 8:30 AM for a 9:00 AM appointment. The team prepared me thoroughly, and I appreciated the guidance to wear comfortable clothes and a short-sleeve shirt. I was asleep during the procedure, and everything went smoothly with no pain. My older son picked me up around 11:30 AM and drove me home, as I wasn't allowed to drive afterward. I rested for the remainder of the day. What really stood out to me was the level of care that Dr. Bak personally called me later that afternoon to check on how I was doing and answered all my questions. He was incredibly patient and supportive. Anna was also amazing and went above and beyond in communicating with me throughout the entire process. In early February, I returned for a gum graft, and just this morning I had my final visit. Everything looks beautiful, and I can now continue treatment with my regular dentist. Once that side is complete, I'll definitely be returning to Dr. Bak to start another implant on the other side. The moment you step through the door you are greeted by Ana & Vera who make you feel welcome and cared for. These ladies always go over everything with you from billing to post-procedure; you know you're in good hands. The treatment rooms are airy and spacious and I especially like the way Loan, my hygienist does my teeth cleanings. Not only is she careful and gentle, she also spends more time than my previous hygienists at other facilities. Best cleanings I have ever had! Dr Bak is a very knowledgeable professional. Unfortunately, I had to get my front tooth removed and my dentist sent me to a different office. It was a complete disaster and I was then referred to Dr. Bak by a friend. He informed me my gum was infected from the previous experience. Right away he got to work and fixed everything!! He guided me and took care of me through the entire process. Although it took longer, I trusted everything he said, and I listened to everything he said to do. I basically had PTSD from the first experience. I can't thank him and his staff enough. Dr Bak and his stuff are amazing. He was able to do a complicated tooth extraction and a bone graft on the same day as my first visit. He is very warm and caring and his assistants and front desk are super helpful and friendly. What makes Dr Bak so special, aside from his expertise and kindness, is that he is able to do a PRF graft, which is spinning blood and taking stem cells from my own plasma which is more compatible with our bodies then synthetic grafts and causes less or no swelling and better healing. read more

Initially one star based on comments below but Dr Bak called to check on me and I explained what happened and he was very apologetic and why they do things the way they do for payment. Updated review 13 April 2023. **************************************** I visited today based on the reviews I've seen. I'll say that the office is nice and new. Something happened that didn't sit right with me and will more than likely cause me to not return or refer this office. I was in the exam room, signed all forms, was told what my portion was and no more than 3 minutes later a receptionist was in my face, with the credit card machine asking for payment, BEFORE my procedure. I was floored at the urgency of her asking for payment, which made me feel as if they thought I couldn't pay or wouldn't pay. I have never in my life had this happen at any doctor's office. EVER! When I asked if this is common practice, the receptionist stated, oh once forms are signed we do this to save time. Wait what!? Let's rewind shall we, when I arrived and was completing my intake paperwork at the front desk and a small Asian woman walks up and she was discussing payment with the very same receptionist that handled my transaction. The Asian lady was talking about using a card and proceeded to pay, AT THE FRONT DESK! After my procedure, I stopped at the desk for a receipt and guess what...I was waiting! RUN! I said "RUN" don't walk to the nearest exit. Funny that dental offices want to be paid in full upfront, but when it comes to returning patient overpayments, they have an excuse or just downright ignore you. I have been fighting with this dental establishment for over a year for monies owed. Countless calls and overpayment requests have been made by myself and my dental insurance carrier that have fallen on deaf year. And what makes it worse is that I am a retiree and on a fixed income. Any monies owed to me would certainly be appreciated. Don't get me wrong, I am always ready to give someone the benefit of the doubt, but this has gone on long enough. It's time to fight back. I wholeheartedly recommend Bak implant studio! A few months ago I took a terrible fall on the sidewalk while walking my dog. I landed right on my face! I broke a tooth and shattered another one. I went that afternoon to see Dr. Bak he took me in right away to assess the damage! After a few weeks I was healed up enough for him to perform my surgery to prepare for an implant. That went very well, I was actually sedated and when I woke up it was all done. Now I'm just waiting for my permanent implant which I will get in a few weeks! I'm excited. It has been a little over a year since I got a lower and an upper root canal done at BAK. The lower root canal was extremely complicated. The doctor did his best, but after a few weeks, the cap suddenly came off. I loved how the office took care of everything and I wasn't charged anything additional for the inconvenience. Note: I drove from Northern California for my appointments. I also think it helped that I didn't just go nuts over the incident, which allowed for the office to nicely work with me to resolve the issue. A year later, the work is solid. I am extremely pleased. The bonus (for me) is that they are tech savvy and have partnered with synchrony (which I love), to offer their clients financing at 0% if paid for within 12 months. YES PLEASE!
