Dr.Yang is my favorite dentist, but he is not for everybody. He don't make small talks, everytime he will ask how is your teeth, if no problem at all, he could finish regular cleaning with polishing in about 15 mins. I've been to other dental office, usually the hygienist clean the teeth for you, always make conversation with you, and usually take about 45 mins for a regular cleaning, which to me is an waste of time. I've done about more than 10 fillings and couple crowns, and all wisdom extraction with Dr. Yang. He is so skilled and efficient. He could finish 5-6 fillings in about 30 mins, and did a very good job. And crowns, he could finish in about 15 mins and other 20 mins you spend with the assistant that make the temproray crown for you. The most amazing experience is the extraction, I don't even feel anything, its already gone. Yang dental is clean and neat, the front desk and assistant always polite and helpful. I would recommand Dr.Yang if you looking for skilled and time efficient dentist. Like I said he is not for everybody, if you like to take things slowly, and good communication with your dentist, then Dr. Yang is not for you. read more

It is quite interesting to see Yang Dental has such as low rating. He is a character for sure. As a patient for years, I used to hate this place and wanted to give it 1 star, but my wife forced me to stay because she used to work as a dental assistant and told me he was good. I am going to share a FAIR review of his service. He can be rated 1-5 stars depending on the patient. 1 star rating: not friendly, always seems in a rush to get the job done. Almost never say "how are you?" and "thank you" to his patients. 1 star rating: not gentle. He is so fast; there is nothing gentle about his service. 4 star rating for his quality of work: he does his job so fast (at least twice as fast as other dentists or faster); however, the quality of work is B+ - A-. 5 star rating for his skills: he is super skilled and can often operate on 2-3 patients at the same time and can still do a decent job for all of them. 5 star rating for pricing: for root canal and crown, he only charges $600-800 whereas the standard fee is $1000-$2500. He makes his money by volume and speed. If having a friendly dentist is important to you, go somewhere else! If you just want to get a teeth job done in 1/2 time and pay 1/2 of the price, he is your star! The Yelp low rating is definitely off the mark because people often rate him based on the first-time experience, which is often poor. read more

I just went to this dentist two and a half hours ago after my parents recommended Dr. Yang. I figure that I should give them a try, even though I had read terrible reviews here from previous reviewers. Guess what? The previous reviewers were so right on the money. Dr. Yang is one that is in it to gauge patients. He suggested that I should get deep cleaning. I told him "No, I have already had it done about a year ago. Warning! This dental office is closed as of 6/29/2019. I had an appointment on 6/29. I called a day before and tried to confirm my appt. However, nobody answered my call on 6/28. When I came to this dental office on 6/29 morning, the door was closed. There is notice on the door, saying that this office is closed because the system is down. Therefore they cannot reach the patient with the appointments. Even though they cannot call those patient with the appointments by phone, they can still leave a recording message in the answer machine. There is NO any message in their recording message. My teeth gum inflamed weeks ago. It was a bump and loose tooth. In Covid-19 pandemic time, Yang dental office is opened on weekends by appointment. Before I visited there, I worried about how the office would protect patients safely from the virus. After visiting, I saw the impressive processing. Patient had to wait outside for the office assistant call, so we never met each other in the office. The door was kept open for air circulation. Hands sanitizer in front of the entrance. I was asked for sighing names, date and time, wearing hair and foot cover. After that, a second hand sanitizer asked again. When the teeth operation had finished, I had a hydrogen peroxide and water mouse raise. The second day, my tooth bump disappeared. The fourth day, the tooth got much stronger. This place is bad. Real bad. I hadn't been to the dentist since maybe high school, when I was covered under my parents. I didn't have dental coverage in college. So with my new found dental insurance I went to Yang Dental for a teeth cleaning based off a friend's recommendation. Good god did it hurt!! Had I turned into a wimp from my transition from boy to man? I do not recall a dentist visit ever hurting this much in my life. And I had experienced all 4 of my wisdom tooth being removed before. This guy obviously did not care about my gums at all. He seemed to just want to get me in and out. And out I went. Never to return to this horrible place. First the goods: the office is clean and neat, with x-ray monitors right next to you that you can see, and LCD TV to pass time. Then the bads, really bads: this guy is ALL ABOUT $$$. I went in for a routine cleaning and patching up some old fillings. He 'nicely' said that we'll split up the work over 2 sessions as it takes some time. On my first visit, he worked on it for about 30 min, then said we'll do the rest the next time. So 1 week later I went back, spent 20 minutes getting drugged and all prep'ed, then he came over and did about 2 minutes of work and told me we are done. Only when I got the insurance reimbursement did I know what he was up to: he had me come back the 2nd time so he could charge my insurance company another $375 (yes THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS) for anesthetics. On top of that, my tooth started feeling sensitive after the 2nd treatment, so I called the office and told them about it, and scheduled a follow-up a week later. I went in, he looked at it briefly, then said it's just a temporary sensitivity issue, gave me some tooth vitamins, and voila we are done. 2 weeks later I got another insurance bill, and he charged an EMERGENCY WORK plus some other crap totaling over $400!! FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS for some vitamins? Not to mention this only happened AFTER he worked on my teeth?? On my last visit, he also mentioned that I should go back again next year for more work once the insurance cap expires this year. I went to another dentist a few months later and asked him to check my teeth, and he said that my teeth are perfectly fine and don't need any more work. What a surprise. Yang Dental is the worst dental office I have never seen. 1 star is only for the clean environment. It was my first visit but it also would be the last visit there. Pros: clean environment Cons: 1. Patients' confidentiality is unsafe. The computer monitors in the front of patient chair shows all patients appointments ( included patients' full name). 2. Rush and rude cleaning. Dr Yang took 10 mins to finish my teeth cleaning. It made me sensitive and hurt. 3. Horrible Dentist! I'm taking away my time to write this review because he inflicted pain on someone I care a lot about. I brought a family member (I'll refer to her ask L) here for a free consultation. First off, the receptionist came in with a camera and proceeded to take a picture of L without even asking for her permission. They said it was since they have many receptionists, they want a picture in the profile to not confuse the patients with one another. We told them no. L came in with periodental disease (inflammed gum and loose teeth). So Dr Yang proceeded to look inside L's mouth. He was really rough in the process. He was EXCESSIVELY yanking on L's teeth, more than 3 times, while trying to show us that her teeth were loose. He was like "See, see..." as he keep repeated yank hard on her teeth and poke at the gum. Yes, I understand he needss to inspect, but he was so careless and rough about it. He did that so many times too, just to prove a point that we already understand. L left the dental office with oral/teeth pain lasting for about 1 week from all the yanking on the teeth and gum. Okay, so here's my story. I had an emergency toothache on Saturday night, so I was very excited when they said they could see me on a Sunday morning. Therefore, I made my appointment thinking that I would at least get somewhat good service. I'm really not too picky... but like decent respect is a common expectation. During the visit.. I explained to dr. Yang what discomfort I was experiencing in my tooth. He took a look and then took some x-rays. Dr. Yang then went to work with another patient and about 10 minutes later came back to "explain" the x-rays. He said I had a cavity where I was feeling my discomfort and asked if I would like to have it filled. I was very excited to hear that he had time to fit me in. But, realized that I still wasn't sure if that cavity was the cause of my discomfort. So, I asked him and he turned away and started to "explain". I then tried to summarize what he was saying and he just said "yea". He seemed like He was in a hurry and that I was bothering him. So, he ended up doing the filling and told me to bite down on the cotton roll for 5 minutes then rinse. So.. I did that. But was I done? Or??? I had to ask a nurse to see what was going on, and apparently I was all done. No goodbye... When I went to pay I had asked for an itemized receipt to see what I was being charged for. I understand that dentist visits are never cheap, but I just want to know what I'm Paying for. The receptionist then wrote a receipt for me.. with no explanation of my payment. So I asked again... for an itemized receipt to show me what if is I am being charged for. She then said she didn't have one.. She had to go ask dr. Yang and then he wrote it on a post it.... the receptionist then wrote it on my receipt for me. Honestly, I am still so confused as to what happened. Went to this place due to its convenient location, just horrible experience, avoid Dr. Yang at all costs. As some previous customers commented, Dr. Yang is unprofessional, working with two or more patients back and forth at the same time even you made an appointment ahead. What Dr. Yang and his assistants care is your $$$, not good communication, and far from good technique (meaning possible unusual pain during and afterwards comparing with other dentists). Only pro is clean, but should be expected for dental care. I understand Thai L.'s pain and I agree with him on this. I was referred by a friend also, in the beginning it seemed all right and I even referred another friend to go there. They have 5 stars facility, very clean, and you can see your x-ray on the monitor right in front of you, very impressive. The reason I stopped going is that the bridge he did for me fell off in less than 2 years, and I had to do it again and it was so painful. Frankly he's friendly and easy going, and he or his assistants are always up front about the deductible, so you don't have to worry about additional bill. My friends feel happy with him, I guess they are not sensative to pains. read more

The place is always clean and the employees are nice and willing to give slight discounts, but that's where the pros of this place end. Dr. Yang has filled in multiple cavities for me that have cracked and fallen out within months, some as quickly as several days after the procedure. At the end of one visit, I asked a question about the procedure after it was finished, and he was very exasperated and instead of choosing to explain, he pointed out a "discolored spot" on my tooth, which the X-ray had not picked up, and proceeded to hastily drill into my tooth and immediately tack on another charge to my bill for an extra, completely unnecessary cavity filling. I am writing this review with a hole in my tooth, as yet another one of his fillings has splintered and detached from my tooth as of 30 minutes ago. This is my real experience and my experience with Dr. Yang was bad. About 3 years ago, I had crow done with him, since then the pain never going away. Today I went to a specialist who examined my tooth, then feel sorry to tell me that my tooth is cracking because his bad pose planted in my crown, so the result is that I will lose this tooth and do implant procedure to get live. Infect, I went back a few times to him after his crown job because of the pain, he said to me it is because of my sensitivity. I went to this dentist since he is near my work place. But don't even think about an appointment. He glue some filling on the side of my teeth for $160 each. He didn't even gave me any medicine to lum my teeth, but use some kind of sand paper to touch my teeth. Then glue the filling on my teeth. Did one teeth, but charged for three. He claim that he did filling for seven tooth. But I can only feel three of them because they are not smooth and make me so uncomfortable. This kind of un-honest dentist should get punish.
