Big store with tons of selections…read more I was nervous from pictures that this would be all comic books. I was a little relieved when we pulled up and there was a sign that included toys. We were here on a very specific mission, one son was looking for ghostbusters toys and the other was looking for pokemon cards. One of the employees told us that they get the most calls from people looking for pokemon cards. So I don't bury the lead, they don't have just packs of pokemon cards, but they do have a set that includes multiple packs for $60. We ended up getting that for my older son and I've been giving him a pack every couple of days. I was little nervous about our mission to find ghostbuster stuff. There were tons of star wars stuff and a lot of funko figurines. We did find ghostbuster funko figures, but that wasn't really what we were looking for. Eventually after walking around a bit, we did find three small ghostbuster items. I think they're meant to be kept on a desk, but my son has been playing with them like they're toys. I haven't seen ghostbusters so I'm not going to describe this well, but they are items to track and then trap ghosts. He was ecstatic that we found them, so mission accomplished. If you're looking for comic books then this is heaven. If you're looking for specific toys, it may be hit or miss, but for us it was a hit. This is definitely a place worth checking out.

The staff was personable, informed, and engaged. The store was packed with collectibles, comics, back issues, toys, just what you expect from a shop. In the time I spent there shopping three regular customers came in and we ended up in exactly the kind of nerd out discussion you would expect from the name. I also found something I've been looking for for two years! Great staff, great selection, great customers, great store.

Since I am in the process of downsizing my 60+ year collection of mostly Golden Age and Silver Age, about the only things I am looking for is (1) an affordable Batman #1 (LOL) and a handful of EC comics from the 50s. But I came for a specific reason - to get a long box of comics to share with grandkids and mostly donate to the local USO. There is a whole wall of long box comics on sale for $1 individual, plus a long box of your choice for $75. One row across the top and another on the floor beneath. I spent about 90 minutes grazing through for appropriate books for service members and families, nothing PG or higher. The manager was very knowledgeable about comics and very helpful. So you need to watch for it. Wow! When the owners call it a Toy Emporium, that's a real understatement! There are so many items placed in side rooms and all over the place, I have not seen this volume except in large dealers at the Tampa Comic & Toy Con! And these are not "toys" so much as Collectibles. Their stock includes classic car models, Hot Wheels, miniature figurines, super heroes, trucks, games and lots more. All the rooms and displays have themes. Imagine a whole room filled with nothing but Hot Wheels collectibles, old and new. It feels a little claustrophobic with so many displays in small rooms. They do have comics but not in the normal sense. There are more than 20 long boxes of comics, each can hold up to 150 comics. These are all for $1.00 each, or you can buy an entire box for $60, and you pick the comics. I admit I did eventually walk out with a long box of comics. These are basically to donate to several charities such as Comics For Kids, for kids in hospitals and treatment centers. Also Comics For Military for traveling military members in USO locations. I was looking for more graphic novel volumes of Buffy the Vampire Season 8 that I couldn't find at other stores. The nice guy at the counter greeted me and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I told him what I was looking for and he led me to the right shelf. The season and volumes where a bit confusing at first. I'm giving them 5 stars because he actually looked it up and gave me the names of the volumes so that I could find them much easier. Now that's good customer service. I really lucked out and found 3 volumes at this store that I didn't already have. I'd also read their FB page and noticed that they have a Spidey tree that they put up every year at Christmas time. I couldn't leave without taking a picture of it. It was cute and unique. Hey, who doesn't love Spiderman? Anyway, I will be back if I'm ever in need of other graphic novels.

One clerk in particular I called on the phone and her name is (McKenna) and I told her I wanted the old farmers almanac 2025 box calendar. When I got there, she had three different ones and I picked the one that I wanted. I posted a picture of it. The store is awesome and I always meet interesting people as I just did now, I met an artist that specializes in a number of things, but when I said cats, she gave me her card because she does portraits of pets. I am going to be doing business with her get yourself over the Books A Million, a.k.a. BAM and enjoy a cup of coffee and buy a book or read a book plenty of room to do that and meet interesting people.
