Have tried various Japanese restaurants and this one was lacking in flavor and authenticity. We ordered the Karaage chicken (Japanese style chicken nugget) and the Katsudon. We were disappointed with the Karaage it was just chicken with way too much katsudon sauce. Was definitely not what we were expecting. The katsudon was also lacking when the katsudon is made with the deep-fried pork cutlet (tonkatsu) simmered in a sweet and savory dashi broth, bound together with soft-cooked egg, and served over a bowl of steamed white rice. What we got was chicken with a drizzle of sauce and a fried egg. With white rice heavily lacking flavor. The service was good. And the ambiance is beautiful but the prices are too high for steak hibachi. Overall would recommend other local eateries compared to this location. read more

Sushi was amazing. The five rolls we ordered were extremely large and expertly crafted. This establishment is a must visit when in Amarillo. We only had sushi, but they also offer multiple hibachi seating area areas. Service was amazing. read more

The food was terrible, tasteless and expensive. The shrimp was like rubber and not fresh. When we asked our server why there were no vegetables in the fried rice we were told it was because we asked for no egg!?!? She was annoyed, when I asked for them to bring it back with the vegetables. She came back with the same plate with some raw onion that was added on top and told us they were very busy. Tried for the first time. Beautiful restaurant when you walk in. We did table side vice them cooking in front of us. Ordered the hibachi beef. The vegetables must have been cooked with the fish. It tasted so fishy--yuck!! The restaurant claims they use top grade beef. I seriously doubt that. There was more fat than actual meat. Great salad. The soup salty. Fried rice was decent but not really good. Pacific Rim is a much better option. Two stars because the service was good here. read more

A Friday lunch in party of three. The decor is impressive, and the building is quite spacious. Ordered off the lunch menu. We all had soup & fried rice. An order of hibachi shrimp, one hibachi scallops and an order of beef teriyaki. Ordered an appetizer calamari; but the kitchen failed to send it out before our entrees, so we refused it.
