We arrived at 6:30 pm on a Saturday evening to full restaurant which was a great sign. You also want to see your sushi bar moving a lot of product so you know their seafood will be fresh. Lucky for us there were two seats at the bar open so we were seated right away. We started off the meal with of course some Sapporo and premium sake along with a tempura app. I've not found great tempura in the area and was pleasantly surprised with their preparation. We then ordered a Chirashi bowl (wife) and assorted nigiri for myself. The chirashi was okay, decent but not anything amazing. Some of the fish cuts were a little odd like they were the trimmings from the end of the filet. My nigiri was solid and I appreciate the fish to rice ratio was perfect as lot of other places make their sushi with way too much rice to stretch the dish. The amaebi or sweet shrimp was fresh and heads were nicely fried and tasty though I wish they fried it a minute longer. Overall a solid sushi bar tucked away from the main road but definitely worth a visit!

No jokes, no fun, no talk, just a lame sad person cooking in front of us. This meal was super expensive, way too disorganized, and even worse...over cooked. Steak not medium rare as requested and burnt veggies. We work hard for our money, so we're not frivolous. This really sucked. I was going to leave a photo but just realized that we didn't take any because it was just that bad! Also, another couple at our table never got their white rice during the entire meal, or her second drink she ordered, so they were not happy either.

So that could be a pet peeve of mine. An $18 glass of Japanese whiskey and that was fantastic. I got the last of the bottle and it was perfect with a heavy pour. Service was great here. I ordered the Red Dragon roll, the champion sashimi, and the Denver roll to go via online ordering through their website. The ordering process was not ideal for a first time customer because none of the items had descriptions so I was looking between their website and then the ordering platform. Once you order it gives you a time frame but I never got another notice when my order was actually ready which wasn't ideal. My order was correct and packaged very pretty for takeout. The Red Dragon roll was just okay. In my opinion, the tuna on top of it is sliced very thin, so it's not much of a show stopper especially for what they consider to be a special roll. It had a lot of rice. It was fine but I don't think I'd order it again because it wasn't memorable in my opinion. The champion sashimi was kinda spicy which I didn't expect but it was delicious. I would order more of this or something similar to this preparation next time. The Denver roll was refreshing. It's wrapped in cucumber and it comes with a special sauce. I liked it. It was pretty filling too. I could see myself ordering that again if I'm craving a lighter option. I'd order the champion sashimi again and try something new next time for my second option.

Everything is made to order, so nothing tasted like it had been sitting around. We ordered a mix of rolls, nigiri, appetizers, and dessert, and it all came out fresh. The pork belly bun was probably my favorite surprise of the night. I also really liked the gyoza, volcano roll, and the seared tuna nigiri. And if you have room, get the strawberry bingsu. It's a really good way to end the meal. One unexpected bonus was the little robot bringing food to the table. It's a small thing, but everyone around us seemed to get a kick out of it. Around 15 min after we ordered, we asked about the rice and they said they'd check, coming back they said the kitchen was backed up. After the 30 min, we asked about the rice again and the person serving us seemed agitated and dismissive and then left without providing alternatives or accommodations. The chicken got cold and we just ended up paying and left after that first round. The person serving us knew that we barely ordered anything and didn't say anything when we decided to just pay and leave. I would just say don't go during busy hours. I'm sure it may have been better outside of that time, however I have been to places that still give great service despite that. I don't think I'll go there again though.
