This is our go-to for Indian. Have never had a bad meal here. Love the Naan basket and the chicken tikka masala. The samosas are also a treat; best around! This Nepali restaurant has great food at very good prices. This was the last meal that I ate in Cbus before coming back to Miami on my most recent visit, one hour before I had to go to the airport. I ordered it via Uber Eats, which totally surprised me because my bestie lives near Franklin Park, and Yak & Yeti was a good 20+ mins drive away. Despite the distance, my food arrived piping hot. I'm salivating as I relive the vegetable thali & fried chicken momos. It was sooooo delicious, and the portions were large enough to split or save for another meal. Amazing menu and food. Our server/owner was super friendly and helpful. I had a big beer (see photo) and Navrattan Korma. I ordered the chicken samosas and rice pudding to go. Amazing. All of it. The samosas are filled with chicken and now my favorite of any restaurant with samosas on the menu. I love Navrattan Korma, and theirs was on par. The rice pudding...yum. This is one of my go to spot when I just want some chicken Biryani. It's usually just order and pick up. The portion is pretty a good amount. Two people could easily eat off of one order. When my friend suggested this place, I thought, "Yak N Yeti?" Oh, brother. I was skeptical. And I was wrong, so very, very wrong. First of all the place is huge, but clean and comfortable. A big stage for DJ's on the weekend, but there's no seedy club vibe. The menu is HUGE, filled with dishes I had never seen at other Indian restaurants, partly, I believe, because of the northern Indian/ Nepalese entrees. My head was spinning and there was way too much I just "had to try." My friends were laughing at me and shaking their heads. Had a lot to take home. I had never had a chaat before -I believe chaat just means snack and there are many different kinds. They had two- I got the samosa chaat. It had layer upon layer of good things, with the crunchy bits on top, samosas on the bottom. It was a pretty heavy substantial dish, so could have been a lunch alone. Very enjoyable. I was excited to try the chole puri with curry, as I had seen it raved about on travel streams. Lives up to the hype! It's like bread balloons! Absolutely delicious, especially with the nice curry. The sadeko salad was nice, refreshing, but unremarkable. Sikuti -deep fried buffalo- was very interesting. It was chewy, as one would expect, but so nicely spiced. We all kept going back to it. The chili chicken momos were the best I've had. Perfectly coated in a bright red sauce. We wanted mo and mo momos (sorry, I couldn't help it). My favorite though was the chicken chukka. I got it hot, and it sure was, but all the other flavor came through as well. I ate it slowly, savoring every bite until it was gone. I have to mention too, the nettle soup (not on the online menu). My friends didn't really care for it, but I thought it was very good and a really nice change in the meal. Earthy, green tasting, a little thick and spicy. It had a taste I had never experienced. Nettles. Yum! What an adventure! The staff were wonderful, helpful and were there when you needed them. Nothing to not like. Now they are my favorite Indian restaurant. Ok, so this was probably one of the most awkward date nights my wife and I have ever had. After reading a lot of great reviews, I talked my wife into trying this restaurant. We are both not too familiar with Indian food and wanted to explore something new.. As we walk in the door, it is DEAD. Not just dead as in "no one is there", but DEAD quiet too. No Muzak, no tv - nothing. The ambiance is horrible. Looks like they may have a stage and events sometimes? Just do yourself a favor and do not dine in! The young, somewhat shy, waitress eventually came to take our order. We advised we are not really familiar with the food and this was our first time visiting. We were hoping she would kind of give us a brief overview of the menu, but she dropped the ball and did not. However, I will say she was friendly and seemed sweet, but maybe a tad too shy to waitress. As for the food, the biryani I got was not what I expected, but ok I guess. The chicken chili was pretty delicious. My wife thought her food was ok, too, but I think a lot of our problem was we didn't have a clue what we were ordering.. I was quite hungry when I got to Yak N Yeti, so to hold me over while waiting for my friend to arrive, I ordered the Chicken Samosa. At $6.99 for only TWO samosa, I had rather high expectations because the price-to-quantity ratio. And, let me tell you, I was very, very happy with this appetizer. Talk about chuck-full of minced chicken; wonderful spices mixed in; and the minty dipping sauce had some heat to it, but it complemented the protein-and-pastry duo so well! The owner is upfront and open about enforcing the health codes set forth for covid. There's hand sanitizer at every table, and before sitting and touching anything, guests must first sanitize hands; he also politely quickly reminded us about the rules and regulations for mask coverings (must be worn when not actively eating, or getting up from your set for any reason). I finally decided to go with YNY's Lamb Korma; HOWEVER, after second thought, I tracked the gentleman down and asked if they could swap chicken instead of lamb, and he was happy to oblige (I couldn't find it anywhere on the menu, so I was very happy they were more than willing to accommodate!). The dish comes with basmati rice. I asked for it to be served in to-go containers, as I knew I was going to have some to take home. Verdict? I definitely enjoyed this dish! Savory - not spicy, creamy, and full of chicken chunks (if an Indian restaurant skimps on the protein, they're automatically removed from my bookmarks). Mixed in some of the rice, and it was wonderful. I fell victim to my salivating tastebuds and forgot to take a picture, sorry not sorry. Yes, I'll admit I was prepared to give YNY four starts from the chicken-packed samosas, but the savory Chicken Korma was icing on the cake, and immediately bumps my review to five stars. read more

After calling back the caller made it very clear that she didn't think we deserved a refund even after she admitted the order was missing things. Amazing food! We had the veg jool momos and they were incredible- super flavorful. I had the shrimp biryani and my husband got the chicken biryani. Both were incredible and very large portions. The menu is extensive with over 100 items. The food is made to order so it takes awhile but is very worth it. Service was good and friendly. Definitely a must try. read more

I ordered chicken jool momo medium spicy. I was very excited to find a Nepali restaurant in Columbus. This dish was super interesting. Base was tomato curry, I could taste coriander, black pepper and red chili up front just like Indian curry in garlic, onion, ginger paste. Dumplings were wrapped and steamed with minster chicken with black pepper and cilantro. Overall a pleasant experience. I would request low on oil in curry next time otherwise I highly recommend. read more

Got it delivered so not sure what the inside or service was like, but I can imagine it was great given the perfection of flavor and cooking. Oh hey east side, let's talk about this amazing new cultural edition! Absolutely loved the food. It was packaged right to stay hot on the drive home. I immediately devoured it after I opened and re-plated everything. I had the butter chicken and was overly impressed! The naan was delicious and it was obviously made from scratch. Each piece was an imperfect circle and I loved it. One thing that really stood out to me on the menu was that they called out the items with food due. As a personal allergic this is such a big deal. Oh my! We had wanted to give this place a try, but the COVID hit and we had to wait. It was worth the wait! We ordered the tandoori mixed grill, fried chicken momo, chicken tikka masala, and naan basket. The mixed tandoori grill came out sizzling (think fajitas) and was hot, full of flavour and had a variety of items: chunks of chicken meat, bone-in pieces of chicken, shrimp and paneer (cheese), with onions and peppers. The fried chicken momo were mour favorite. A chicken-filled dumpling that was then deep fried. Wow! The chicken tikka masala was the richest and creamiest I have ever had. The chunks of chicken were tender and juicy. The naan was crisp and warm - perfect to soak up those sauces. I had a mango lassi that helped smooth the pleasant level of heat from our food. Service was good - we got there early and most of their business is carry-out right now. Try this place! Help a family working on the American dream. This is another experience place to visit. The food is made fresh to order so it can take a while. Really though, take the time and enjoy your company or chat with the staff. The tandoori chicken is amazing and priced very well. The naan... well, there are many types, plain, cheese, garlic, it's hard to decide. You can count on it being fresh, hot, and mouth watering delicious. The times I've gone in usually take 90 mins to 2 hours, but wow, is it worth it. It's great to experience new foods! They also have great momos, but a work of caution, beware their version of chow mein, unless you like really spicey food. It's good but packs a kick! read more

Went here to get food during the stay at home order. All the food was good. Only issue was that I ordered my food , was told to wait in my car and someone would let me know when it was ready. I waited about 35 minutes, walked back inside and saw my food waiting on the counter. Asked if it was mine and it was. I ordered the chicken Tika Masala, spicy level hot and a garlic naan. The Tika Masala tasted great and was very creamy. I did not think it was very spicy for hot but the cream used in making the sauce might of covered it up. The chicken was clearly cooked in the tandoori oven and tasted great.
