The owner got sick of seeing 'carpet sculptures' being sold for half a grand, and cluttering up people's living rooms for the sake of their pet cats having a place to sit or scratch. He was lamenting this to a colleague who gave him the idea of making a beautiful facade with a cat-friendly structure behind. The first product was an 8ft model of a building in the Louvre, and his french cats took to it so well, that Chateau de Chat was born. I'm eager for the website to be up so I can show all the cat lovers on Yelp his work and allow them to spoil their pets properly. My snooty 'chat', Miss Billie Holiday, sits day in and day out on her 'Chateau de Chat' small model 'Natural History Museum of London' which was custom made for me (as I used to live adjacent to it). The company says that your limit is your cat's imagination. How cute is that?!

Dr. Alison Pillsbury arranged for us to have him seen at UC Davis Veterinary Hospital, where he underwent surgery. Sadly, his cancer returned within a month and we had to make the difficult decision to have him euthanized on July 29th. I can't say enough about how compassionate Dr. Alison was, how gently she cared for Shaft in his last moments, and how kind she was to us as grieving owners. We all hugged and shed some tears after he left us. She is a treasure and we are so fortunate to have her in our community!

Kirsten has been heaven sent just when we needed the right dog for us.  She had selected a…read morebeautiful chocolate lab from a shelter that needed us as much as we needed her. The dog she had selected had behavioral issues that she knew were correctable.  She had to deal with all of the negative behaviors and train her until she not only behaved acceptably but is now just an incredible pet.  Though we had been more border collie people, when we came to Kirsten to help us pick the right dog she chose the perfect match for us. This dog will sit, lie down, and wait until we say it's ok before she eats her food. We've never had that in any previous dogs. While she sometimes tests the boundaries, she also knows that the kitchen is off limits and she's not allowed on furniture. She loves to play ball, fetch, and just run joyously around the yard. Kirsten told us that she had to teach her to play. It seems that she may have been used as a breeder and not treated very well. I have a deteriorating medical condition which I'm sure our dog will adapt to and be good company for me, and then be a great companion for my husband down the road. We truly feel that this dog and the training Kirsten provided were heaven sent.

The first time I had two cats to sit and I was going to be gone about 3 or 4 days. One of my cats had renal failure and needed to receive subcutaneous fluids twice daily. None of the cat boarding places would agree to take care of a cat with this kind of medical issue but Randi was willing and able because she had had experience taking care of a cat with renal failure. She did a wonderful job. On the second occasion I had just gotten a new kitten and she bonded immediately with the new baby. She also did an excellent job. I would recommend her without reservations!

I highly recommend Bark Park for boarding and we even had the girls professionally bathed for the first time in their lives and they came home fluffy and smelling so good!
