She attended TLC for three years until this past summer and is now in kindergarten at a private Montessori school in Fullerton. The teachers there were pleasantly surprised at how advanced she was from the very start, which is a true reflection of the dedication and care she received at TLC. A heartfelt thank-you to the head teachers and assistant teachers in the Bear and Giraffe classes for their outstanding efforts. While the management at TLC could benefit from some improvement, that concern is minor compared to the high quality of education and nurturing environment provided by the teachers.

Under the nurturing care of Ms. Natalie, Ms. Helen, and Ms. Katherine our son grew in ways we could have never imagined. Each of them played such a meaningful role in his development emotionally and socially. They were patient, gentle, and attentive to his needs, helping him build confidence, independence, and curiosity. Because of their dedication, he transitioned to public school feeling prepared, supported, and excited for the next chapter. We will always be thankful for everything these amazing teachers poured into him. If you're looking for a preschool that treats your child like their own and creates a safe, loving learning environment, this is the place. We miss you all!

So I've been volunteering as a mentor for Project Motivate (PM) for almost a year and I'm so glad I…read morefound them through VolunteerMatch! Project Motivate is the first Vietnamese-American mentoring program of its kind . You are paired up with a Vietnamese youth (of the same gender for the school year) and the program has a set schedule of meeting every Wednesday night from 6pm-9pm (that was the schedule for this year) where mentor and mentee all meet in a classroom . I drive every Wednesday evening from my house in LA to Huntington Beach to tutor my mentee. Because that's how I strongly I believe in what they do. My mentee is such a sweetheart, she's very inquisitive and loves to read as much as I do. So naturally we connect immediately. Even though when she first joined the program she was very very shy and refuses to even make direct eye contact when talking - seeing how she had grown in the past year to finding her own voice and gradually being comfortable in her own skin has been extremely rewarding for me. Naturally, being a mentor is something that one has to not only want to do but also has to have the time for , I'm blessed that I'm at a point in my life now where I can give back in this way. To give you an idea of who the other mentors are in the program with me this year: there are couple attorneys, a couple bio-engineers, a couple of social workers, a research analyst, a couple film makers , and a handful of college students who have all come together to volunteer our time once a week. The program also arranges activities for mentors and mentees to do on one Saturday every month. By the way this may sound funny, but please don't feel like you have to be Vietnamese (or even Asian) to be a part of this organization we have volunteers in the program who aren't! If you have heard of this organization or came across it somehow and is debating on weather to be a part of it - feel free to ask me any questions! You may change a child's life! Cheers!

After years of experience and having to move my children from school to school because of work-life…read morebalance, I feel with deep confidence this was one of the best elementary schools my children attended. Special Thanks: - Dr. Gary Gerstner and prior principal - Ms. Zachach (pardon the misspelling) - IEP staff - Speech therapist - Dolly Chatterton - Lilia (a name similar to Lily) - Parent/Community Advisory Committee - Parents in action Let me give you some context to compare amongst the other reviewers vs my review as a parent. When my children attended this school, I was a single parent, attending UCI as an engineering student, with a child in the IEP program, and having to manage my children's mother who was later found neglectful by CPS. All of this while working at Disney in customer service and born into poverty. Therefore, I had minimal chances to succeed as a parent, let alone the patience for all the possible mistakes I might encounter from being inexperienced. The Community: The people here are great and the kids are decently behaved. There might be a conflict between children every now and then but they do resolve it. The Parents In Action (PIA) cares about making a difference in the children's involvement with school activities. I've never attended a PTA meeting, sorry. The Staff: I don't like to generalize but they were awesome. I especially recall Dolly and Lilia (similar name to Lily). I put Dr Gary Gerstner and possibly the staff through some stuff with CPA getting involved, like the conflicts between the mother and I. In the end, I wish they knew it saved my children's life. Parent/Community Advisory Committee: The Advisory Committee is another level. I recommend attending if you're a parent looking for advance information regarding how to make the best of your interaction with the school system. For example, I asked what was the best way I can make the most out of the IEP meetings with advance resources. The person who answered my question was highly educated and very prepared. They taught me the steps on making a meaningful impact at each IEP meeting. IEP: The help in the beginning was profound. However, to make the changes necessary to improve as a parent for a child in the IEP, I had to be more involved. The specialists and teachers knew my limitations and made the best decisions available to them. The absolute best advice I received was from Ms. Zachach (pardon the misspelling), to make my child love reading and there is no limit to how much they should read.

I have spent so much time there that I might be able to call it my second home. The principal, Mrs. Quynh Giao, is very passionate and determined in providing top-tier, high-quality educational resources for a variety of subjects. She really cares for each and every one of the her enrolled students and ensures that everyone is being their academic best. Furthermore, all the tutors that I have worked with at A Plus are very kind and are always willing to teach/answer questions. They make sure that their lessons are not only educational, but also fun and engaging. All in all, whenever I needed help with my challenging courses, from AP Chemistry to Precalculus, I always turned towards A Plus and was always satisfied with the result. With the far less expensive tuition at A Plus, combined with its A1 educational resources, it doesn't get better than this. You won't regret enrolling here. Thank you A Plus and Mrs. Quynh Giao for all the amazing academic wonders you have done for me and your students!

So, I originally wrote this review almost four months ago. Julie LaCroix saw the review and…read moreresponded to it. However, did she do anything to make sure she answered the main element of the complaint (that she won't stop spamming me in spite of numerous requests over the years - including those apparently only decorative "unsubscribe" links in her emails?). No. Screen shot for proof. Draw what conclusions you will. Original Review and Comment on Response: I had two appointments with Julie LaCroix several years ago. I ultimately thought the sessions were a waste of time and (quite a lot of) money. She decided my skill set made me a particularly good fit for a specific type of job, and she disregarded my repeated protests that the job in question went against my moral values. She made up her mind and was incapable of hearing anything that didn't align with her first (somewhat arbitrary seeming) idea. She ended our last session by throwing together a ridiculous, typo-ridden resume in a couple minutes targeted at a position I had made clear I would not apply for. (Since that time I finished my graduate degree and am working in a suitable career.) After our second meeting, I was ready to move on and not give career therapists another thought. I have not had that luxury, however, since Julie LaCroix has spammed me and stalked me on social media ever since. Every couple years, I get re-added to her email list which I have never given her permission to put me on, and she has not responded to messages asking her to desist. She also periodically tries to connect with me on social media (she is undeterred by my refusal to connect with her, and, again, does not respond to messages asking her to desist in contacting me). I understand that she thinks networking will help grow her business. I don't understand why she thinks harassing people and ignoring them when they object would be beneficial to anyone. Given her systematic abuse of my personal information, however, I am no longer surprised that she could not process my objection to an unethical career. **Regarding Response** Notice the non-denial regarding the abusive email practices I describe. Also note the absence of a statement that she would address this matter and make sure I am not re-added to her list again in the future. The rest is a matter of he-said-she-said, but why, after 11 years, would I have reason to think of her--much less make random false claims in a review? I would encourage her to check her email (julie@julielacroix.com) to see that I have, in fact, contacted her multiple time over the past 11 years to ask that she stop re-adding me to her spam list. She has also found me years after using her (dis)services and tried to get me to engage with her professional profiles on Facebook and Instagram over the years. The dishonesty/lack of integrity in her response here is appalling.
