I have to say this is the best dentist office! I have never met a dentist who actually cares about my teeth and gums so much! The last dentist I went to put my crowns on wrong and didn't wait for my gums to heal! Dr. Yuri actually took the time to explain to me what I had to do when I had the temporary crowns on. Who knew I had to floss in between because food gets stuck. The three temporary crowns were stuck together so they gave me some thing different to floss together. Well my gums are healed and I have my new crowns! They are also amazing and will help with a payment plan if needed! I recommend this office anytime and their prices are reasonable! read more

Dr Yuri and his staff are amazing. This is one of those rare cases when you actually look forward to going to the dentist's office. Dr Yuri is very good, he's been doing this for a long time and you can tell he's an OG the minute he starts working on you. Zero pain, btw. You can also tell that he gets satisfaction from great results and he's genuinely happy for his patients. He always recommends what's best for his patients, as in my case, despite the fact the other option would've made him more money. His staff are very attentive, friendly, and they make you feel like family. The office is very well equipped and you don't have to go to another room for an X-ray, each room has its own. HORROR!! Stay far far away! My friend at the time urged me to go there to get a full mouth reconstruction with crowns. I trusted him and went, first of all I paid cash up front for the entire procedure, where I had to tell the girl at the front desk twice to give me in writing that they received the cash. Which was the first red flag. It took over 1 year, messy, nothing right. Always the excuse: we are short on staff. He didn't glue the temporaries, they kept falling off, painful, stressful, I had several mental breakdowns because of what they did. The doctor is so rude on top of it, the girls who work there roll their eyes if u complain. Nobody ever spent this much money there and he also lied, me and my friend were the first people where he ever did this procedure. We found out later on. I went to several other dentists who also said, very bad job which will cause many problems if I won't get it redone. The bite is totally messed up, left upper side longer than the right one, left lower side shorter than the other one. Then the two front teeth broke, I had a warranty and the doctor made me sign not to take advantage of it or he won't do it, he was yelling at me, taking advantage of my situation cause he knew I was desperate and had to get them replaced over there to match the color. Took another 3 months and the color never matched, he sent me to a dirty lab in Korea town where nobody speaks or understands English. He glued them in, I never felt so uncomfortable and told him, he said: you gotta get used to it. The teeth don't even touch the other ones, which will damage my jaw and makes them break again. The office ignores my messages! It's just so disgusting! They treat you like shit and you pay a ton of money and now I gotta get it redone at a specialist which costs me around 90k! I can't focus, the crowns look terrible but the messed up bite is even worse and he refuses to correct it. But he collected my money. He's a con artist and should not take jobs he's not able to fulfill. He saw money and that's all he wanted but I won't accept this treatment and what he did to me. After I paid he took a very long vacation with my money and let me wait for month and months and still couldn't get the job done! They don't care about their patients, your money is good enough but your health and looks of the teeth, they don't care. He even tried to tell me how perfect they look when the color difference was so extremely visible. He just doesn't care. It's a shame what kinda people are out there. I emailed them so many times and reached out about how I feel and how bad it is, never fixed anything. And now he messed it up so badly that I have to get it redone right away or I'll risk serious injuries. The implant came off, where he put something really dark underneath which made my tooth look rotten. I am surprised I didn't get a stroke or heart attack with them, I was so close. I'm still dealing with it until I'm getting it redone now! There was so much more going on, like deformed crowns he put in telling me they were perfect. He is loud and aggressive on top of it! I've been to several dentist in the valley, and this one has a friendly staff, very clean office and most importantly, the dentist and x-ray tech are friendly. The dentist is straight to the point and thorough when inspecting. The female x-ray tech at the time cleaned my teeth and she was great; talkative and friendly, which made my experience at ease. She was also thorough, which is very important. I've been to a dentist in Van Nuys at the corner of Hazeltine / Victory where I had a rotten wisdom teeth completely hollow and black, yet went unnoticed for 3 visits in a row there. In fact, When they x-ray'd my teeth, it was completely blurred and unusable but just to save $, they left it like that. Because of that lack of ability to see nor care for the rotting tooth, is how and why I found y2k dentistry and have stayed with y2k ever since. I have been through a lot of dental drama in Los Angeles andfinally I found the one dentist, who really knows what he is doing. I needed adjustments, because one dentist made a really bad one and my bite was completely off. Dr. Grkikian knows how to treat a patient right and everybody in his office is very professional and very friendly. While you are waitin in y6our chair to be treated, you can watch TV. Bweare! Beware! Beware! Very bad clinic and very dishonest people. I went there for a root canal and crown and paid them 1450$. The treatment was a suffer all the way. Starting with x ray tech who did the x ray over and over and over again, until she finally got it. Proceed with a doctor that jumps from patient to patient during your appointment leaving you waiting with open mouth and anesthesia that gradually wears off. All the way ignoring your concerns and questions. Of course he will try to sell you mouth guard and stuff im not sure i needed. Anyway, it took them 3 weeks and 3 appointments to get my crown to sit right (it looks ugly and feels weird, but anyway) so expect spending a long period of time with temporary filling on a root canal. Right after the treatment i told them that i still feel the pain from this tooth. They said its a scar and it will heal. 3 weeks later, still hurts, still the same answer, its a scar. I went to another doctor, this time a qualified endodontist. He found out that Dr grkikian failed to remove all of the nerve, resulting in pain and infection. Only thing to do now is a new root canal and new crown. This is when i got to see Dr grkikian's true face. At first, he offered me to do it again, which I refused obviously. No way this guy is treating me again. I told him i want a refund, with which i will pay for the same treatment in a different clinic. Listen to his amazing answers: 1. I can still feel the pain 2 years after the treatment: "its a scar, sometimes it heals and sometime not". His words. 2. Theres a nerve still there, you failed to remove : "everyone has a different anatomy". So why do we have x ray?? 3. This is really something that blew my mind: "i am not responsible for a failed root canal" - "are you saying you're not responsible for your own work?" Amazingly enough, the answer was "yes". Anyway, he got the clinic manager and said he's going to refund my money. The guy came out with a document for me to sign and the refund amount was 550$. I asked why it wasn't what i paid, 1450$. He said that theres nothing wrong with the crown, deliberately ignoring the fact that a new root canal requires also a new crown. I told him that but you know how hard it is for people to pay money... So i decided that if this the way they address my problem i will not just accept it. What im going to do is post a review on every review site that i can. If i can help someone save himself from this clinic, im good. Plus, i will take my money through his insurance. If he thinks that he did good, there's nothing he should be afraid of. Now, i believe they will respond with some "we're sorry about your experience but its not our fault" thing, like they responded to someone here who got her healthy tooth grinded (!) because of their poor work ethics. Dont buy it. Do yourself a favor and go to a different clinic. UPDATE: so as i thought, they responded, throwing off all responsibilities because i signed a consent. That shows you exactly what i mean. Few things they forgot to mention: I was rejecting all their calls and postcards because i was very unhappy with this clinic, even before i knew root canal has failed. Dr. Grkikian told me that i have another root canal to do and i specifically told him that im not coming back to him and going to do that in a different place. Postcards and emails are still coming, its a computerized system. X rays were not taken for different angles or to see the progress, the lady technician specifically apologized and said she cant get it right, until someone else came and did it. Im talking about 7-8 times they had to do it in 5 minuets, until picture was clear. Any endo can do root canal without removing crown? They expect me to go and habe someone drill through the crown to access the root and then close it with a filling. Would you have accepted that on your teeth? I have filed a complaint to dental board of California. If these guys think they treated me right, the boards decision will show that. read more

Do NOT trust this dentist. Dr Grkirkian shortened my two front teeth and then lied about it. I wish I'd never trusted this dentist. :-( I chipped my front tooth and came to Dr Grkirkian to fill it in with bonding. He suggested that he grind my two front teeth down so that they were both even, since it was a small chip. "No I don't like that look," I explained. (Who wants to look like a tweeker?) He and his assistant made a whole show of putting bonding on my tooth and applying a heat lamp to it. Then he shaped it with a drill for a long time. Grinding and grinding. Then for some reason he ground my other tooth too. The perfectly healthy tooth with no chip. Weird. I trusted that he was polishing or something since we had had a CLEAR CONVERSATION REGARDING NOT GRINDING my two front teeth down! When he was finished and held the mirror up I was horrified to see that my two front teeth were shorter than the teeth beside them! I looked like a meth addict. I was immediately upset and said so. I hate it! I said. I told you NOT to do that!" "It's just a little bit." He said. "1/8 inch only." Think of how much 1/8" of a tooth is! A LOT. I feel so hurt by this dentist. He ground my teeth down after I specifically said not too. "Just a little bit" according to him. A little bit that will never grow back. That I will never get used to. That I told him I didn't want. Dr. Grkirkian apologized and promised to add bonding as often as needed to correct the length of my two front teeth. He added bonding once and I was okay with it. Of course it chipped right before thanksgiving. When I went to Y2K dentistry expecting to have it corrected as they had promised, some guy I'd never met took me into an office, leaned over me and told me, "Nobody shortened your teeth." He completely lied and denied everything that Dr. Grkikian had already admitted to doing. I don't like writing bad reviews unless I really feel like my intention is to save someone from having a bad experience. Save yourself! Don't have a bad experience like I did. Went to Y2k Dentistry for a tooth pain and I ended up needed a root canal. The staff is amazing, very sweet and on top of things. I always get text message reminders of my appointments and they are very helpful in explaining the work that you need done. Their technology is all state of the art technology, nothing I've seen before at a dentist office. Got my root canal done and did not feel a thing throughout the process. Simply the best. Was referred to Dr. G. by a doctor's wife when I had a painful molar. He evaluated my dental needs and I learned that I needed a root canal, two crowns and six fillings. No one wants a root canal and I went through all the procedures, expecting nothing but necessary discomfort and boredom for the sake of my health. Did not expect to emerge with reconstructed teeth that made my smile look thirty years younger! He accepts all insurance I think and his office works with you on payments. I'm so happy that I don't have to settle for decaying teeth and use any opportunity now to grin....You owe it to yourself to at least go in to see this tall teddy bear of a dentist and get an evaluation. read more

The doctor and all of his staff are beyond exceptional! The day before Thanksgiving I cracked my tooth and the doctor made time for a consultation for me. He did a root canal and filling which was excellent! His assisstants molded me a new retainer, took my old one off my bottom teeth, and polished and cleaned my teeth. THE BEST! This is not a paid person. My wife introduced me to this clinic and we live in Santa Monica. Well its worth the drive and then some. They have their own machine where they can make crowns on site. The care I've received under Dr Grkikian is the best I've ever had. Before going to him I had headaches and my teeth were misaligned by what I thought was a reputable dentist. All that discomfort for so long when all had to do to was head to Magnolia on the valley and see Daisy, Marina and the very dedicated staff at Y2K. They call after my appointments and check on me.
