We signed up for what we were told was a simple 3-month trial program. At the end of the trial, Miss Henley rushed my husband as he was leaving class and pushed him to sign a "renewal" agreement without ever disclosing it was a legally binding 1-year contract.Due to a family relocation, a newborn baby, and sharing one vehicle, it became impossible for our child to attend. When we physically went to the facility to request a cancellation, the staff clearly ignored us being present, rudely claiming they were "too busy in class" to speak with us. When they finally addressed us, they brushed us off entirely and claimed that their third-party billing platform, ZenPlanner, was their official cancellation partner and that we had to handle it through them. All of a sudden, the story completely changed. She informed us that they are no longer with ZenPlanner, and suddenly she magically had the power to cancel it himself--but only if we paid the remaining contract balance in full! To make matters even more dishonest, they keep shifting their own rules to convenience themselves: their earlier emails explicitly stated that a relocation distance of over 20 miles qualified for cancellation, but they arbitrarily changed that requirement to 25 miles just to reject our request and trap us.Despite our child not stepping foot in the facility for nearly 6 months, they relentlessly auto-deducted tuition and forced us to pay out a massive fee for the rest of the year just to be released. They show zero empathy for local families, ignore you when you stand in front of them, and constantly change their policies to force you into a financial chokehold. Do not trust their "trial" offers or their word!

I've also witnessed an increase of self confidence, assertion, focus and ability to follow instruction, not only in my daughter, but from every single kid in our belt level classes. Some progress faster than others, but definitive progress is obvious none-the-less. The ability of these instructors to instill those actions in kids is beyond what I've seen in other youth programs. Now, on to cost as referred to by some other reviewers. Yes, it's expensive. However, you get to go to an unlimited number of classes so you get out of it what you put in. If you go once a week, you'll get once a week value. If you go more, then you'll get more for your investment and see a faster development of skill. Every business can improve, and Tiger Rock is not immune to benefit from a tweak here or there. For example, they really need to pro-rate months like December when they're closed for two weeks. And I witnessed one communication snafu. But overall, we find a lot of value and growth in this program and plan to continue for a long time. Certainly deserving of the 5 stars.

Master Quay, Mister Jeff, and the rest of the incredible staff made us feel right at home. First off, we learned right away that we were learning Youn Wha system, I couldn't tell you what system of martial arts we were learning before, but it was incredibly modified. We had to learn to properly chamber punches and kicks, and even some new techniques that were not taught at our previous school. With help from the instructors, and a little hard work, we got caught up quickly. Since then my family has gone on to compete in tournaments, gain confidence, and meet new people all over the country, that have been very supportive of our family. Most schools allow an unlimited amount of students, only focusing on making money off of people. Master Ha limits his program size to be within a manageable size so he can ensure that parents and students walk away with taekwondo training that is worth the price they pay.
