This review is intended as a cautionary note to urge readers to avoid headaches and monetary loss…read more The information I am about to disclose was given to me by those involved, others with knowledge of this man, I experienced it while a member of his 6-Week Challenge, or found it in open sources on the internet. The owner of Tactical Krav Maga in Aubey claims to be Madrik Clay, but his real name is Larry Clay Lonis. He has used the following and other aliases: 1. Coach Clay 2. Tiger Clay 3. Clay Dux 4. LC Kravskie 5. Klay L'Honis 6. Klay L'Onis 7. Larry C. L'Onis 8. Larry L'Onis 9. Professor Moreh Yoneesh (2016, Amarillo, owned a Krav Maga school after leaving Grapevine) His story started in Lubbock a couple of decades ago when he operated a karate school and is said to have left town unexpectedly and with students' dues in tow. For some time in the 2010's, he was in Grapevine running his Monster X Camp, which later changed name to Reaction Fitness and Self-Defense, and where he offered Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and kickboxing. REACTION FITNESS & SELF-DEFENSE - CLOSED - 13 Photos - 445 E Nortwest Hwy, Grapevine, TX - Yelp In January of 2016 he started a 6-week weight loss and fitness challenge, where participants who lost 20 lbs. would be reimbursed their fee and roll into the next 6-week session free of charge. Problems started quite soon. There was little equipment, gym remodeling never got completed and worse, trainers wouldn't last long on the job. At the end of the first 6-week session, several participants qualified for fee reimbursement but never received it. He was evasive or accused them of not qualifying, writing all this on social media for all other participants to see. He also bad-mouthed the trainers. With the 2nd 6-week session, many more people signed up, but by then training sessions were cancelled quite often and there was a general sense of mistrust toward anything he said or promised. Trainers complained about not getting paid or having payroll checks bounce. At least one trainer complained of receiving veiled threats from Larry, as did participants. Sometime in February or March, participants reported to the gym to find a locked, empty building. Cristin Severence, formerly with CBS in Dallas did an investigative report on him in 2016 regarding the 6-Week Challenge. https://www.cbsnews.com/dfw/news/customers-we-lost-weight-money-at-bogus-fitness-boot-camp/ Larry moved to Amarillo where he opened his next Krav Maga school, which lasted only several months. He returned to Lubbock and found an investor to help him open a Krav Maga school; I'm told the investor sued him for breach of contract. In 2019 the court ordered Larry to pay back the investor, but he has paid less than 10% of the money owed. Somewhere about this time I heard he worked as a bouncer and also as a motorcycle salesperson. I'm told his claim to holding a 5th degree black belt in Krav Maga is false. At his current business, an individual who was hired to teach Karate at the Aubrey school left after facing the usual problems and promises, and opened his own school in a nearby city. Recent members have complained of charges continuing to be made to their cards after they quit the gym. Some of the businesses he has owned: 1. Tiger Martial Arts, Lubbock 2. Coach Larry Clay Ministries 3. MXC Keller (Monster X Camp) 4. Monster X Camp Grapevine 5. Amarillo Krav Maga, Amarillo 6. Krav Maga school, Lubbock 7. Tactical Krav Maga - Aubrey/Pilot Point, present I strongly suggest that you research this man before you pay him any money and certainly before you trust him with your debit or credit card information.

Ms. Shiva is kind and helpful. My 6 years old daughter said it's more fun in coach James' classes. Discriminatory actions taking place...STAY AWAY After 2 years of a family atmosphere rockstar was sold to new "owners" while great coach Austin and Maddie were out on maternity leave trying to enjoy their first child. How do you demote/release someone while they are trying to have a child? Gave new coaches a chance, watched attendance dwindle, competition leave, and knew it was time to move on. As you can see by other reviews, new owners are bullying (which they coach against?) people due to "agreements" signed. We signed those with coach Austin, not the new ownership group. Gave them an opportunity via multiple emails to do the right thing, but they refused and still attempted to charge me after I made my intentions clear. I have the corporate office involved before I go to the BBB etc. we'll see if Rockstar founders care to do the right thing or try to squeeze unearned money.. Anything good you heard about this place is no more...

Fighting, fitness, and fun. It's right here…read more It's fun! Clint is a talented coach. He gets the best out of you. Need some help with a move? Someone will always help. Want to mix it up in sparring? Friendly matches are always available. Want to work on your technique? You'll find patient drill partners. Drills are good, but real fighting is done with weapons. Bad guys don't want a fair fight. To beat them, you'll have to learn how to fight with weapons. Have a concealed carry license? Think blades and clubs are not a worry? Think again. You'll have to fight just to draw your weapon. Pekiti Tirsia is a proven system. It's the martial art of the Filipino Marine Corps. Filipino Marines and police are commonly ambushed with guns, knives, swords, and sticks. Pekiti Tirsia works. It's kept tens of thousands of people alive in the most extreme close combat encounters. To fight like that, you have to be fit. Clint trains people of all fitness levels, and they get stronger and faster and more agile. If fitness is your goal, training for fighting is ideal. You'll get real, functional fitness. Clint will help you discover your body's strengths and weaknesses. You'll learn how to use body efficiently. Once you can fight with weapons, empty hands fighting is much easier. Do a few rounds with Clint, and you'll see what I mean. Plus, with all the added mobility and strength you'll improve in other sports. I play Rugby, and the footwork I've learned in Pekiti Tirsia has made me a much better outside back. If you want to get get in shape with functional fitness, this is the best place around. Clint is the best coach you're going to find.
