Go on Saturday and get the cajeta (caramel) filled churro for $1.50. It's absolutely delicious! It's my fav! And this location actually fills it, whereas at one of the other locations, one of my churros was barely filled. The people working here are super sweet, and the churros and drinks are great. I also tried the cheesecake churro- which is good, but I prefer the cajeta. And iced chocolate (made with abuelita), which was yummy. My partner had the strawberry and a chocolate filled churros and an iced caramel coffee, which he really liked. read more

Xurro - Delicious caramel aka cajeta (flavor of the day- only on Saturday) - Cafes Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Hey fellow Yelpers! I have gone to the Xurro location on 63rd St. near Midway many times and it one of my fave dessert spots when I'm craving a sweet treat. The first time I went, I remember I got plain churros. My boyfriend suggested for me to try the vanilla filled churro and I can't look back since that day. Vanilla filled churros are my fave and go-to flavor especially when I go to Xurro. Mobile App: I highly recommend downloading the Xurro mobile app and placing your order that way or placing your order by phone. I usually order through their mobile app to make sure my points are in my account and can get discounts on future purchases. When you order online, the allotted time they give you is it will be ready in about an hour. I usually order ahead of time so but the time I get there, it's ready with little to no wait. I'm not sure how long it takes when you place an order right then and there, especially during busy hours, but I can only imagine. Food/Drink Items: There are many delicious options to choose from although churros are their speciality, they also have coffee, ice cream, etc. I feel old school for saying this or maybe this is just an old school flavor, but I find it hard to find establishments that have Superman ice cream. Xurro, at least the location on 63rd near Midway had Superman ice cream and I love it! The only other place I know that serves Superman ice cream is Huck Finn Restaurant. Customer Service: All the staff I've interacted with every time I go are always welcoming and friendly. My order is always correct & usually ready when I pick it up with doing a mobile or online order. Parking: Parking is really tricky on 63rd St. It's a hit or miss with parking. There's usually no parking when I go to Xurro, so I usually park near it and have my emergency lights on. Overall Experience: Overall, I always have a great experience whenever I come to Xurro. I highly recommend this place if you're craving churros and their churros taste wayyyy better than one you can get at a carnival during the summer time. I hope this review help Xurro location on 63rd St. near Midway, Xurro in general, & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day! read more

To die for churros!!! Absolutely love these for parties or even a little sweet treat for date nights! The icecream is amazing as well! read more

Delicious, freshly made churros, plain or in a variety of tasty fillings. Speaking of fillings, they are inserted into the fresh-from-the-fryer churro while you observe the process. Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and other delightful choices are available. Prices are reasonable, and orders can be placed online and picked up in store. It's very clean, tastefully decorated, and welcoming. There's a huge opening to the back, so you can see the ladies prepare and fry the tasty treats! There are mini churros, with caramel or chocolate dipping sauces, good for snacking. Xurro also offers specialty coffee drinks to enjoy with the churros! Street parking is readily available. read more

For a chain, they certainly have the product (churros) down! I had a box of plain churros and they didn't disappoint. They came out warm and not overly coated with sugar. The oil they were fried in was fresh and pleasant. The cafe de la olla could have used a bit more cinnamon but it complimented the churros perfectly. read more

I love this place the hot Chocolate is amazing. Their churros are out Of this world. They have studded churros? Churros Sunday's, churro sandwich stuff with ice cream. The only bummer that is no parking lot and it is an a very busy street so to stop and get Your Order it is so difficult. Nevertheless the food is amazing read more

Pros: The mini churros (churritos) were tasty and cooked to perfection. My online order was ready at the specified time. Street parking was not too difficult. Cons: Covid restrictions mean that Xurro is closed inside. Not a big deal but with people randomly standing around the sidewalk it's hard to tell that you are supposed to walk in front of what looks like people waiting for their orders to ring a bell to get someone to bring your order to the window. The cashier/order deliverer tried to hand me two small paper bags of mini churros and sauces to walk down the street with, no bag or box. The dipping sauces were super tiny. I'll gladly give Xurro another shot when the world opens up again and we can go inside and enjoy a pastry with a cafe but not before then. read more

Xurro - Churro sundae - Cafes Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This location has quite a few options for coffee. Horchata coffee was great I'm a classic café con Leche or Café de oja.

Love this place. Churros are always made fresh, the filling options are plentiful and delicious and the price is right at just $1.50 each. I'm always leaving out of in and out of the nearby airport and always make it a point to stop by and get some fresh churros before my flight. read more

Always the freshest Churros in the city! Love how they have a flavor of the day and you've got to try their drinks too! The churro milkshake and horchata latte are both equally delicious. read more

Fresh warm and filled while you wait. How can you beat that. Churro S'mores was to die for.

Travel long no more!!! They've finally opened a location near by and I'm forever grateful. No more long suspenseful distant car rides to satisfy my urge for these delightfully delectable Churros. You can have them as is or stuffed with vanilla, chocolate, cream cheese or strawberry. Even a churros sandwich but that would mean you'd have to get ice cream with it and the churro s'mores (not sure if the marshmallows are gelatin free) have to ask about that. Sadly the vanilla ice cream was not satisfactory at all.Bummer. Not excited about trying the other ice cream flavors. The funnel cake I've had at the Pilsen location and it's absolutely wonderful. read more

Xurro - Churros , apple , cheesecake , strawberry, chocolate. Flavors - Cafes Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Churros were good, but customer service was horrible, the young lady attending the register had an unwelcome face and actitud, this is not good for the business, this type of acciones make customer don't want to come back. read more

I love churros and these were amazing! Service was quick, efficient and friendly. My husband and I ordered cream cheese and strawberry churros along with the churro sundae, a funnel cake and the hot Mayan coffee. Churros were warm, crispy and very tasty. I liked my sundae even though the ice cream didn't seem that sweet (which wasn't necessarily a bad thing), however I wish it had more chocolate topping on it, it didn't seem like much was added. The funnel cake was also tasty and my husband really enjoyed his coffee. I'd definitely go back for a funnel cake and more churros! read more

Nothing like freshly made churros as you wait, hot delicious and crispy cant get closer to mexico than that

The churros are really good in my opinion, I've been in their like 2 times and the last time i was their it kinda felt empty, feel like they could use more decor/tables. The churros are made fresh, i watched as my order was made in the back and filled with the strawberry flavor filling. The workers werent rude but alittle rushed, love this place and is a good gift, but if your gonna give it as a gift do not give it in the box that it comes with because the fillings get pretty messy in the box. (In the picture i had already taken a couple bites, it didn't come like that) read more

The churros were amazing. The crunch to pastry ratio was perfect. It was crunchy and soft, the flavors weren't overpowering to the churro flavor. I absolutely loved the churros!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I would give it a zero star if I could . Last time I order from them . I moved far so usually I tell my friends that live around the area to bring Churros for me . Last two times churros were stale and it had a hair . Then I am like ok I give them another try . So I called at first to place my order for a party . Spoke to a lady she said ok no problem. Then I called a few days later to confirm my order and pay over the phone . The lost my first order so I had to do the order again and I paid for them . The day of the party my friend was on her way to pick them up and I called . I got a rude lady telling me I was crazy I never order anything . Then after calling her multiple times she said she could not do anything about it . Then the owner called me and treating me like I am a scam artist . She was treating me like a criminal . In top of me having the stress of preparing for a party.after she realized she was wrong her voice changed immediately. And she apologized. But her apologies is a little to late . Run away from this place ! Find somewhere where you get better quality churros and better service where they do t treat you like a criminal read more

I grew up eating fresh churros, so the fact that this place makes churros to order is a plus for me. I enjoy my churro hot & without a filling. The cafe de olla is not bad at all. I tried it iced and it was delicious! 4.00 for a regular size churro & good size iced coffee? Score!!! I'll be back. Service is great & location is clean. read more

Went for the first time this week, and the food was pretty good. It was just a little awkward because they don't have any music playing in the restaurant. Other than that, that place is good. It just needs some music or something to spice things up. Nobody wants to walk into a restaurant, and hear ourselves or other people chew lol Tf... read more

Love the convenience of ordering on line. The churros are delicious. Never say to eat there, but atmosphere seems welcoming and clean.

So deliciousness I give this 5 but if I can give more stars I would. The service is so amazing and nice.

My wife came here to pickup some regular and mini churros for the kids in early October. As usual, there is no parking available directly in front of the business so I had to wait in the car with the hazards on while she went inside to place her order. The place was packed and I would estimate that she waited a good 20 minutes before her order was ready. In addition to the churros, she also ordered some hot chocolate. She mentioned that the few employees that were working there all seemed to be in there teens and appeared to be confused and overwhelmed. On our way home we hit a slight bump in the road and as my wife was holding her hot chocolate, the lid on the cup came off and scalding hot liquid hit my wife's leg which I could tell really hurt her. Immediately after arriving home I called the business to attempt to speak with a manager. The female who answered the phone seemed confused when I asked to speak with the manager and asked "who is this?" I responded "This is the husband of the lady who just left your business and had hot chocolate spill all over her leg and my car seat because someone didn't properly cover the cup". She stated that there was not any manager available at the time. I told her that I would be contacting the business the next day which I did not but thanks to YELP I was reminded about the incident. Whoever is in charge of this location needs to have at least 1 responsible adult individual to supervise and guide the younger employees and to provide proper training on how to handle day to day operations. It's really unfortunate because we actually enjoy the products from the business but I honestly don't think we will be returning to this location. read more

Simply delicious!!!! Nice and warm every time. Have tried the regular, strawberry filled and cream cheese churro. Have also tried the strawberry milkshake which includes an actual churro! You cannot go wrong. Extra stars for following current CDC precautions! Staff has gloves Staff has masks No clients inside, they have made a window in which you order and wait outside. Clients ordering required to wear masks Overall trip 10 stars! Try it. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would HORRIBLE service this place is so unprofessional. Came for 4 churros with cajeta, and all of them didn't have any, they were all inside the bag. Also they wanted to give me one that was in half!? What?? I payed for 4 churros not 3 full ones and one half one? I told the lady at the cashier that I ordered 4, not 3 and she had the AUDACITY to say that "oh yeah, one of them is broken" what kind of service is that? Made me waste my time. Never coming here again read more

Came in on a Friday night and the 3 girls working were so sweet and helpful. We don't eat pork so one of the girls went to check the marshmallows they use for the s'mores (sure enough it is pork gelatin.) So we skipped the s'more option until they have beef gelatin marshmallows and got a regular sized chocolate churro and a cream cheese one. (They have regular sizes and mini churros called churritos.) I preferred the chocolate one much more. They were piping hot because they're freshly fried to order. Love that! They also have alternating unique flavors every week. In terms of operations and cleanliness, the place was clean and running smoothly. Needless to say, we will be back for more! read more

The place is clean, good service, and it has great churros, i recommend their cafe de olla, it has a great taste

I was super excited to try this place, but Leslie did not give me a good first impression. I rang the bell for service and she continued to mop the floor. When she finally came, I asked for a flavored churro in my sundae, but she told me no I had to buy them separately. Which was fine, so I told her just cancel the sundae and give me the flavored churros. She still charged me for the sundae and asked if I wanted it refunded or something else. Of course I wanted it refunded! She then said well she couldn't refund it for a few days because there was no manager there. I asked for the managers number and she called the next customer in line. I was very disappointed in her attitude and how she charged me knowing it couldn't be refunded. She shouldn't be taking orders. I've never had someone this rude before. read more
