Hey fellow Yelpers! I have gone to the Xurro location on 63rd St. near Midway many times and it one of my fave dessert spots when I'm craving a sweet treat. The first time I went, I remember I got plain churros. My boyfriend suggested for me to try the vanilla filled churro and I can't look back since that day. Vanilla filled churros are my fave and go-to flavor especially when I go to Xurro. Mobile App: I highly recommend downloading the Xurro mobile app and placing your order that way or placing your order by phone. I usually order through their mobile app to make sure my points are in my account and can get discounts on future purchases. When you order online, the allotted time they give you is it will be ready in about an hour. I usually order ahead of time so but the time I get there, it's ready with little to no wait. I'm not sure how long it takes when you place an order right then and there, especially during busy hours, but I can only imagine. Food/Drink Items: There are many delicious options to choose from although churros are their speciality, they also have coffee, ice cream, etc. I feel old school for saying this or maybe this is just an old school flavor, but I find it hard to find establishments that have Superman ice cream. Xurro, at least the location on 63rd near Midway had Superman ice cream and I love it! The only other place I know that serves Superman ice cream is Huck Finn Restaurant. Customer Service: All the staff I've interacted with every time I go are always welcoming and friendly. My order is always correct & usually ready when I pick it up with doing a mobile or online order. Parking: Parking is really tricky on 63rd St. It's a hit or miss with parking. There's usually no parking when I go to Xurro, so I usually park near it and have my emergency lights on. Overall Experience: Overall, I always have a great experience whenever I come to Xurro. I highly recommend this place if you're craving churros and their churros taste wayyyy better than one you can get at a carnival during the summer time. This location has quite a few options for coffee. Horchata coffee was great I'm a classic café con Leche or Café de oja.

Pros: The mini churros (churritos) were tasty and cooked to perfection. My online order was ready at the specified time. Street parking was not too difficult. Cons: Covid restrictions mean that Xurro is closed inside. Not a big deal but with people randomly standing around the sidewalk it's hard to tell that you are supposed to walk in front of what looks like people waiting for their orders to ring a bell to get someone to bring your order to the window. The cashier/order deliverer tried to hand me two small paper bags of mini churros and sauces to walk down the street with, no bag or box. The dipping sauces were super tiny. I'll gladly give Xurro another shot when the world opens up again and we can go inside and enjoy a pastry with a cafe but not before then. read more

Travel long no more!!! They've finally opened a location near by and I'm forever grateful. No more long suspenseful distant car rides to satisfy my urge for these delightfully delectable Churros. You can have them as is or stuffed with vanilla, chocolate, cream cheese or strawberry. Even a churros sandwich but that would mean you'd have to get ice cream with it and the churro s'mores (not sure if the marshmallows are gelatin free) have to ask about that. The churros are really good in my opinion, I've been in their like 2 times and the last time i was their it kinda felt empty, feel like they could use more decor/tables. The churros are made fresh, i watched as my order was made in the back and filled with the strawberry flavor filling. The workers werent rude but alittle rushed, love this place and is a good gift, but if your gonna give it as a gift do not give it in the box that it comes with because the fillings get pretty messy in the box. I love churros and these were amazing! Service was quick, efficient and friendly. My husband and I ordered cream cheese and strawberry churros along with the churro sundae, a funnel cake and the hot Mayan coffee. Churros were warm, crispy and very tasty. I liked my sundae even though the ice cream didn't seem that sweet (which wasn't necessarily a bad thing), however I wish it had more chocolate topping on it, it didn't seem like much was added. Hands down one of my favorite churro spots in the city just opened a new shop walking distance from my house!!! I've been a huge fan of Xurro for a minute.They took a while to open.My neighbors and I were eagerly anticipating the grand opening.Sooooo glad they have a location by me!!! My wife came here to pickup some regular and mini churros for the kids in early October. As usual, there is no parking available directly in front of the business so I had to wait in the car with the hazards on while she went inside to place her order. The place was packed and I would estimate that she waited a good 20 minutes before her order was ready. In addition to the churros, she also ordered some hot chocolate. She mentioned that the few employees that were working there all seemed to be in there teens and appeared to be confused and overwhelmed. On our way home we hit a slight bump in the road and as my wife was holding her hot chocolate, the lid on the cup came off and scalding hot liquid hit my wife's leg which I could tell really hurt her. Immediately after arriving home I called the business to attempt to speak with a manager. The female who answered the phone seemed confused when I asked to speak with the manager and asked "who is this?" I responded "This is the husband of the lady who just left your business and had hot chocolate spill all over her leg and my car seat because someone didn't properly cover the cup". She stated that there was not any manager available at the time. I told her that I would be contacting the business the next day which I did not but thanks to YELP I was reminded about the incident. Whoever is in charge of this location needs to have at least 1 responsible adult individual to supervise and guide the younger employees and to provide proper training on how to handle day to day operations. It's really unfortunate because we actually enjoy the products from the business but I honestly don't think we will be returning to this location. read more

Came in on a Friday night and the 3 girls working were so sweet and helpful. We don't eat pork so one of the girls went to check the marshmallows they use for the s'mores (sure enough it is pork gelatin.) So we skipped the s'more option until they have beef gelatin marshmallows and got a regular sized chocolate churro and a cream cheese one. (They have regular sizes and mini churros called churritos.) I preferred the chocolate one much more. They were piping hot because they're freshly fried to order. Love that! They also have alternating unique flavors every week. I was super excited to try this place, but Leslie did not give me a good first impression. I rang the bell for service and she continued to mop the floor. When she finally came, I asked for a flavored churro in my sundae, but she told me no I had to buy them separately. Which was fine, so I told her just cancel the sundae and give me the flavored churros. She still charged me for the sundae and asked if I wanted it refunded or something else. Of course I wanted it refunded! She then said well she couldn't refund it for a few days because there was no manager there. I asked for the managers number and she called the next customer in line. I was very disappointed in her attitude and how she charged me knowing it couldn't be refunded. She shouldn't be taking orders. I've never had someone this rude before. read more
