They said it could get on my catalytic converter and start a fire. They wanted to charge an additional 500 bucks. The car is over 25 years old and that oil seepage has been there for at least 5 years. Never had a problem before so I declined. Went to a different place and no problem. For my November 2024 inspection, Dove's Auto Repair installed an invalid inspection sticker - expiration dated November 2026! It was installed right next to the Emissions sticker on the same windshield which has a November 2025 expiration date. Wow! Couldn't the Dove's Auto Repair mechanic see that? They also mounted a tire incorrectly (backwards) while losing a lug nut - replacing it with an impromptu and incorrectly sized lug nut, while breaking my windshield washer reservoir trying to replace a crankshaft sensor. They admitted to breaking the windshield reservoir after charging me to fix the problem they created. They also charged me for services they did not provide. These crazy jerks lied to me and told me I needed a whole new exhaust system in order to pass my 2025 inspection. They screwed everything up and I had to have another service garage correct all of their problems. Total waste of money with these a-holes! All of this was totally avoidable had they behaved in a professional manner. Fred Kerstetter exhibits the worst business acumen I've ever seen and it is totally embarrassing (ignorant ole Freddy boy doesn't even know what the word "acumen" means)! He's a total lying prick. Jesse is worse than Freddy boy. You can't trust these guys! The best thing that came out of this was that I found competent and truly qualified ASE certified mechanics to replace ever having to come back to this trainwreck of a disaster known as Dove's Auto Repair.

What we were expecting to hear was that the transmission was done, but after careful review it was actually a connecting piece that rusted out. Within 2 business days her car was fixed and back on the road. Our other daughters car kept throwing the service engine soon light. Calvin completed his research and quickly determined the root cause. The fix was completed the next business day and the car runs beautifully. I visited the area from a different state during the July 4th weekend and even being lightly staffed, took my car. Heard my concerns and not only identified the issue but addressed it! I was fortunate to have found this shop with positive reviews and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop for your auto mechanical needs. They could have taken advantage of a visitor but did not. Instead, they helped me with empathy and integrity. I can only imagine how they help support their community and "everyday" customers. What they charged me was also very respectful and value was worth it all. They saved me and my family during a holiday weekend. I can't say any more positive feedback for this shop. Their inside location was also very spacious and accommodating. Thank you again to Matt & Joel and kudos to the shop owner for the culture development.
