Excellent place to watch a movie. We were in Florida, really wish our home state had an Xscape Theatre!

Decided to give this theater another go to see Lilo and Stitch and was pleasantly surprised to see that Xscape Theaters finally got new reclining seats. They also make the food fresh to order so be prepared to wait a bit. My pretzel and cheese took over 20 minutes -mostly because my order was forgotten. Guess I came at the wrong time because it appeared to be a shift change. Thankfully, an employee noticed and took care of me as quickly as possible apologizing for my lengthy wait. The seats were in fact brand new and functional. I would give this location another try in the future. read more

We went to see centers opening weekend. They were plenty of seats . It wasn't too packed. There was something sticking on my chairs, so I had to lysol wipe it off. Their lobby needs some work. It's dark and sad. But other than it. It's a regular movie theater with the good reclining chairs. Just make sure they're clean. read more

Movie night with my wife and our beloved grandson. Very wide and very comfortable recliners, clean theater and clean bathrooms, no long lines, great surround system, and affordable ticket prices. What else can you ask for? Just that the movie will be good. It was a good movie but due to my recliner being so comfortable, I actually fell asleep mid stream, so that's my only complaint :) read more

I would weather give you 0 stars than 1 star.... This was my first--and likely my last--time at this theater. When I arrived, I didn't see any posters or signs outside that might have set my expectations. It was only when I was back in my car, leaving in frustration, that I noticed the big ad plastered on the side of the building: 'New Seats' and '70-foot Giant xtreme Screens.' I almost laughed. First off, these 'new seats' were disgusting. I thought at first that the leather was just sticky like new upholstery can be, but it became very clear, very quickly, that wasn't the case. A suspicious, tacky substance covered the armrests and the seat bottoms. I moved three or four times, only to find that nearly every seat seemed smeared with...something I'd rather not imagine. Then, the screen. 'xtreme,' they say? It was 'xtremely' underwhelming. The picture quality was terrible, with a dull, almost blurry look that was definitely not worth the price of admission. This whole experience left me regretting I even set foot inside. read more

What the heck happened to the seats, the leatherette did not hold up at all, my seat did not recline, the theater has a musty moldy smell. The A/C was down in some theaters, the seats are grimy. This theater needs to completely remodel and that probably won't happen. read more

Well..,,we woke up early this morning in order to go see a screening of the new Barbie movie at 9:40 AM. We actually liked this theater because it always appeared clean and we never had any problems here in the past, but... today was an exception to that . As we went to our seats, we discovered that it was like a sauna up above, where we were due to be seated as we usually get tickets beneath the projection booth at the top. There was a lady a few seats away, who was sitting there, sweating and said that she believed that the AC was not working. I proceeded to go back downstairs to the concessions where I requested to talk to the manager who told us that he knew that there had been request me to repair the broken AC in the theater so apparently they knew it was broken, but they did not tell us consumers that it was broken . The lady who I had spoken to near our seating, appeared at the concession as well, and we all agreed that we could try to sit towards the bottom of the theater and see if it was any cooler because the movie had already started . Another lady approached with her children for a total of 10 of us, and she could not tolerate the heat. She said that they tried sitting at the bottom they could not tolerate it either. Meanwhile, each of us with concessions are standing there, trying to get some resolve. All our food gets cold. The manager, some young guy named Devon said that he had called the GM because we requested to see if the movie could be restarted. If we could possibly tolerate the temperature in the theater. The GM agreed to restart the movie if all 10 of us agreed which we said we did but when the other patron took the children in the theater, it was much too hot, and she returned and told us that She didn't believe that any of us would be able to tolerate the heat so my proceeded to go back inside X2 and they could not cannot tolerate the heat either. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking the movie still playing and the food is cold, and it is now well after 10 AM. I asked Devin what was the name of the general manager for which he said he could not give... we then asked if he could GET general manager on the phone he said he could NOT ... Wowwwwww....interesting. All he would say is that SHE said that the movie could be restarted. By that time we are now approaching 1030 and the lady in front of me had lost her patience as did I. Therefore, we requested refunds and asked Devin what was the general manager willing to do to compensate us for our waste of time and money due to us not being able to watch the film because of something that was NOT our fault and that had not been rectified by the theater? He offered us NOTHING which I found very trifling to say the least. And gave me the impression that both he and upper management KNEW that the X2 theater room was/is inoperable due to the broken AC and extreme heat inside of it ... yet did nothing to close that one down until it can be repaired or worn the customers of its extreme heat prior to purchasing tickets. My guess is that they know that once the consumer is there, and they really want to view the movie, then they'll just suffer in the heat. It was hotter in that room than it was outside at that time of the morning. I don't know if it's the area of town for which this theater is located that makes them believe that they can treat people that way without recourse or wet or that the Consumer's will not speak on this or say anything to anyone else but they're wrong ! If I could give this theater, no stars I would and I will definitely be looking into reaching corporate or whomever else I need to reach about this issue because that could've been catastrophic for the nursery schools in daycare's, ect whom bring children there to watch movies and had to be EXPOSED to theater conditions such as that at this! That is truly bad for business and is duly noted, and I will make sure to pass the word on about how unwilling and uncooperative the management is in rectifying situation that this establishment. My recommendation would be to stay away unless you're willing to sit in a sauna as you watch a movie uncomfortably on those PLEATHER seats while you sweat intensely! With no relief in sight. Bad move for this theater to do that... shame on you! Oh yeah, let me not forget to mention that the refund it tickets are minus the charge that we paid online. And all of that COLD food that we had ordered/purchased could not be refunded. Who does that???? I won't EVER return there again nor take my family or encourage anyone else I know to go there either! I would love to hear from upper management about this, but I won't hold my breath !!!!!!!!! read more

Unfortunately the quality of this theater has gone down massively in the last few years. Most of the l seats are peeling. The bathrooms are decent sometimes. The concession stand where the drinks and condiments are at tend to be a mess. The employees are nice and helpful every time. I like the conveniency of the screens when you walk in to purchase or pick up your own tickets without having to wait in a line. There is a good amount of parking available. read more

My popcorn bag was covered in butter from the butter station, I politely asked for an empty pop corn bag to switch and one manager Rachael refused and got another manager by the name of Jahir who also refused and when I offered to pay for an empty bag he said I would have to buy another popcorn for the regular size price of $10 and some change. After spending a little around $80 for tickets and food I was disappointed by the inability to accommodate. I'm not sure the actual policy but Rachael said inventory policy wouldn't allow it. I have never seen such a refusal from any theater and if this in fact is the policy, I'd suggest changing or option to purchase an empty popcorn bag. As a local who lives down the street, I'll be driving a little extra down to Gibsonton to watch a movie from now on. read more

First time at this theater, walked in and saw the kiosk to order movie tickets.. well that was a big mistake the kiosk was frozen on the screen so asked the candy counter person for help and they said I could order tickets there. That place needs to have a clear sign saying if you have an issue see cashier for help... what a waste of time. The seats were really nice and love how they reclined.. super comfy. This was a super cool experience! Especially when watching a movie that was filmed in one long shot (like the movie "1917"). I've never had the pleasure of sitting in comfortable recliner seats like this at a theater. It felt like I was at home, but with Dolby Atmus surround sound and a 70 foot screen. At times, I could feel the vibrations as well. I think the only thing I would do different next time would be to sit a little further away from the screen. Row G was great, but a little too close for me. The venue was very nice. You can purchase your tickets online or you can also get them at the theater if the movie isn't already full. It's very convenient. The only line is at the concession stand (and there will be a line). It goes quickly. They serve beer and wine like most places do nowadays. The food options looked better than AMC Regency. I say that because I saw things on the menu such as White Castle burgers, Nathan's hot dogs, hot churros, and many other items. The only thing I wasn't tickled pink about were the soda machines. I wish they had the Coca Cola Freestyle machines like the AMC theaters. That would make the experience so much better. I've heard that there is a theater in Gibsonton with a gastropub, but Xscape is so much closer to me. Besides, I don't even eat this overpriced food when watching a movie. I'd rather go to a restaurant of my choice afterward. Honestly, I think the best feature of all is not having to deal with all the Regency Square traffic. I'd gladly pay extra just for that alone. It was such an easy drive going in and out of this parking lot. There were only 20 people watching this movie on a Sunday at 1:20 pm. It was actually quite nice that we didn't have to deal with any crowds. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. read more

This is our go to movie theater. We normally go for a show on Tuesdays since it isn't as crowded and it is discount night so a ticket is $8. The seats are comfy and some of the biggest seats I've seen in a theater. I do have to say that this place has seen better days. Since the pandemic, I'm guessing they don't have the funds to maintain it the way they should. Some of the seats are very worn down. There was also I time I caught a movie and was warned in advance that the AC had gone out. It was actually kind of nice though. No one else showed up and instead of freezing like we do sometimes, it was actually room temperature. Be aware that if you buy tickets online, there is a surcharge of a couple bucks. The theater was just OK. Looked to be fairly full when we reserved our seats ahead of time...then the theater was less than 1/2 full when we arrived. The handmade signs on the doors stating "No Weapons! No knives or guns allowed" are funny. I'm sure the criminals turned away when they saw those scary signs. The signs did make us think, though, about a potential problem the management knows about? Yikes! The seats were worn yet comfortable. The one next to me was reclined and wouldn't go back to the sitting position. The popcorn, like others have mentioned, tastes bad...stale and cold. Yuck! Pretty nice movie theater, but needs upgrading. The seats recline but are a bit uncomfortable. Also appears to be a bit understaffed. There's two working self serve kiosk but no one to physically help you up there. Just really needs some upgrading. read more

We've experienced better. XStream is not that big of a screen to be honest but I did like the height difference between each row. This theater seemed to be pretty busy on a Saturday and their prices are a couple of bucks higher than what we're used to paying (in Jacksonville). Nonetheless, we appreciate the buy-in-advance online options along with reserved seating. I had to make a last minute change and had to call. I spoke to Davier on the phone, he fixed everything the way I needed and was very helpful so Kudo to Davier! From what we were told, this place is way better than the AMC in the area so we're happy we chose this theater for our movie experience vs. the place that was closer to our hotel. Apparently well worth the extra 10 minute drive. read more

I don't even know where to start. After going last night we will never be back. Upon entering, the majority of computers at the ticket counter were down, which wasn't a huge deal but I'm pretty sure the same computers have been down for the passed year. Moving on we decided to get some snacks so we got our box of candy and two drinks (priced at $20 so while we originally just wanted water felt like we had to get a soda just to make up for the cost). As we were filling our drinks we noticed how dirty everything was, counters covered in spilled drinks and food and lid dispensers covered in grease that probably hadn't been cleaned in forever. We made our we to our theater and on the way we noticed almost every tv that should display what movie is playing was broken and the carpet seemed as if it hadn't been cleaned once since the theater had first opened with strange stains that was would make you think someone threw up on them (pics below). As you enter the screen room the lighting was bad enough to give you a headache with its strobe effect. As you sit down you start to notice the condition of the seats, torn apart, missing patches, layers of grime built up making them look black, parts coming undone from where it reclines. The lack of cleanliness was so bad I didn't even want to sit back in my chair. We tried to stick it out but then to top it all off, as the movie began playing, you could hear sound bleed from the movies next door because none of the doors to the rooms fully close correctly. We left about 30 minutes into the movie. All things aside, I'm giving 2 stars because they gave us a ticket refund with no issues but cleanliness truly is a bare minimum and you would think after a pandemic they would have atleast some sort of standard, I wouldn't be surprised if I got some disease from this place. read more

A movie for less than $10?! Who'd have thought it possible today. Well, go no further than Xsxape because you can here. Granted, this was matinee time but I still think many theaters have insane prices - this was a welcome change! They offer reclineable comfortable seats, soda, popcorn, treats, hot dogs, and beer and wine. There's about 12 screens so plenty to chose from, and your seat is assigned here upon purchase. Sound and picture quality was great - saw Thor:Ragnarock and it did not disappoint. Convenient location will have me back very soon! read more

Came here for the first time post Covid and it was wonderful to be back in the theatre. I loved the easy ticket purchasing system and they had a decent concession stand with adult beverages. I really enjoyed the reclining chairs and felt there was plenty of space between all the seats. The theater was very clean and well maintained during my visit. We brought a blanket, kicked up our legs and enjoyed the movie on a huge oversized screen and great sound system. read more

It was a great time. Saw the super Mario movie. Not a long line, food such as the popcorn was good. Season well. We were in the xtreme auditorium #2 Seats were bit worn and saw couple seats beat up pretty badly such as the back laying side ways on the floor. But overall the sound was great quality, food was great, service was excellent, and seats were comfy. read more

I didn't come with much expectations on a Sunday but found that the standard tickets DO come with recliners which was a cool surprise. You are able to order your tickets with reserved seating at the theaters if you don't want to do it online, there is no change in price. We skipped concessions because for a large drink, it was $5+ and I could just sit through a movie and go get a pack of 24 cans for $5 at Publix down the street. Overall, I think the experience was worth the trip back for sure. Paid $12.50 on a Sunday afternoon at 4pm and the seating was only half full so there was more than enough room to spread out. No complaints here, I am sold! read more

I went to concession stand, purchased popcorn, candy , 2 waters, and nacho with cheese. I took a tray , the melted cheese got on everything on the tray. I went back to the concession stand to ask for an empty bag to transfer my popcorn from the bag with the smeared with cheese. I asked a young man "can I have another bag, showed him the bag, he said "oh wow let me go ask my manager . The manager said no, told the young man to wipe it clean. he asked another manager she also said, no. for the money I paid for 2 tickets, I was denied an empty popcorn bag , it's ridiculous. I would not step a foot in the theatre again. read more

I love seeing movies in the theaters but haven't gone to many since the pandemic and especially seeming you can get most movies streaming now. When driving past Xscape one morning I decided to go see an early morning movie (Till - which was very well done). I was surprised that a theater had movies around 10 AM. Most places don't have showings before 12pm/1pm. I like getting out of movies early and having most of the theater to myself. Also, with their early morning movies - it only costs $7.50, which is a steal these days! read more

Large reclining seats with foot rests, allow you to enjoy your movie like you would in your own living room. Excellent sound system and large screens. There are self-serve soda refills in the lobby and freshly made popcorn in the lobby. read more

I gave it a 4 cuz it has room for improvement. It's a decent theater. Has the recliner chairs. Good audio. The picture is good to. I went last night with friends from work. We had a issue with the picture where it froze a bit before the movie. Did it a couple times but it didn't happen afterwards during the movie. They got games that u play through the noovie app. I just wished they had a dine n wait bar inside. If u missed the time window and have for the next one. It can be so boring just sitting on a metal bench. You would have to leave the building to find one. There should be a lounge on the side, for people to chill while they wait. Could make more money with that. Good spit to hide from the rain to or u feel like drinking and talk about the ending of the movie with other people read more
