I do a weekly date night with hubby and we like to go to the movies on some Tuesdays. Joining their club, you get a discount on Tuesday and Wednesdays. We went to see Mercy which was phenomenal. I like this theater and have a consistent experience. Popcorn is fresh and delicious and I love that they have the soda free refill stations. The seats are full recliners which makes seats comfortable. Recommend you check them out. read more

We came to watch Sinners which was a great movie, by the way! The theater was clean and well-maintained overall. AMC has always been my favorite place to see a movie. The only thing that caught me off guard was the ice machine. I couldn't find it for a while, and when I finally asked, I was told it was behind the concession stand. That felt a bit odd since I'm used to seeing it next to the soda fountains. On the plus side, I really liked the recliner chairs that's a big win for me! read more

Was going to pay a visit today for the first time, but when I looked at all the photos on yelp, I said nope. The seats alone are creepy. I'll stick with the port charlotte and Venice theater. Clean and seats aren't all torn up to where u are afraid to let the clothes your wearing touch them. Some theaters need to get it together and take lessons from others. Who wants to sit in a theater room that's creeps you out. Don't know if all the rooms and seats are like these photos, but it sure doesn't entice you to want to go. Bummer read more

Although this is the theater we usually go to, we are getting very irritated at the management lack of response to priority and premier members. Prior to premiere, people are Sparks, stand in in line. Are you supposed to be served? But first, it's one of the reasons we've paid to upgrade to this membership. However, this is now the 3rd time this month that we actually waited longer than the regular line. People were getting in the regular line after we had arrived and were served before us. Other patrons in the premier priority line were getting very irritated also. Staff needs to be taught better or I am canceling my membership and going somewhere else. read more

Seamless ticket experience. Use the app and you can scan as you walk in. Never too crowded which i love! The app points rack up pretty quickly as well so it encourages you to buy more at the concession. The popcorn is very under salted all the time. Idk how to fix it myself, I've tried lol. The hotdogs are decent too as well as the flat bread pizza. The restaurant inside is a little over priced but better than concession. I would go 1 hour before your showing because the wait is never long. The seats are decent too. I can tell they don't wipe or sanitize them because there have been plenty of times where the button to push my seat back is coated in butter from a previous person. So i always wipe my seat when i get there. And the leather on the arm rest is usually ripped up so i would wear long sleeves or it's going to bother you the entire time. The app truly saves this place. Use it!! read more

This was a former GDX theater 14 which is why they have 70' screens and superior sound the downside here is the loss of the restaurant Features the gastropub next door and the lower quality of food, at the concession to mirror that if AMC. While it bears the AMC name and terrible pricing and customer service. AMC has allowed this theater to become another dying location. In usual AMC fashion they haven't kept this as nice as the former GDX did. Letting repairs fall by the waist side and lack of janitorial services. It's still a good spot to see a movie if you don't mind the price or having to deal with some mechanical or damages depending on your seat availability. Sadly this won't last with some upkeeps. read more

We have been coming here for years (although took a hiatus during the past 2 years with COVID) and always liked this theatre. I am not sure what has happened, but it has gone downhill. I am a plus member so I can order my tickets on-line, which is easy. It's easy to have my ticket scanned when you walk in. We used to love going to the early shows because they were less crowded, and I understand you can't get help these days, so that's a bummer for us. Today, when getting popcorn, they were out of large popcorn buckets so they gave us a bag. The bag is awkward to share, so that was a total pain. When we got to our seats, I was stunned to see the seats in such disrepair (see pictures). Prices are up, but they are not maintaining the theaters. Also note the dirty floor near the drink station. I will say the ladies room was clean. The theater itself was stuffy. Normally I take along a sweater, but I certainly didn't need one today. Overall, I am bummed how much this theatre has gone downhill. I used to feel comfortable here, but now not so much. I will likely not renew my plus membership. read more

We were to see King of Kings, and I understand Jamaican culture, that they are Christians and weed isn't viewed the same as cigarettes but no smoking should cover weed too. Specifically it was a really tall white guy with a red beard and dreadlocks, he was with a short, thicker black woman, and it was obvious they were holding because you could smell it. We ended up sitting next to them and believe it or not they were getting stoned next to us. He asked if we minded but he was already blazing up and puffing. We're passive and didn't want to complain and it be obvious but someone needs to keep an eye out for these two. Is it possible to cut them off at the ticket-taker and address the weed? read more

Tried this theater for the first time on a weekday at 4:15. I figured it would not be busy and I was correct. The theater is very modern and clean. The seats are nice large leather recliners with a small side table. There is plenty of room for others to pass between rows even with your feet up. The theater has a nice large snack bar in the lobby. There are help yourself refillable coke machines in each of the two wings of the building.. There is a bar in the lobby as you walk in with plenty of seating. The sound system was excellent. There are several different sound and video choices such as Dolby, RealD, IMAX, and Prime. Each ticket has a different cost. They also have reserved seating. The bathrooms we're clean. Plenty of parking. read more

Clean location, easy entry. The need to work on the lights, the timing was off. Lights dimmed after the pre story opening, very hard to read. Then they didn't come on for exit, had to use a flashlight to make sure we didn't forget the keys. Not sure why people need to wear a bottle of cologne to the movies. It made us nauseous. read more

Went to view the movie Conclave. The movie was great, and the theater was very clean and spacious. We needed special seating due to wheelchairs and it was available and easily accessible. Overall a great experience!! read more

This theatre is one of the newest in this area, yet sadly has been mismanaged in such a way as to allow it to consistently appear unclean, unkept & deteriorating . Torn & worn theatre seats remain repaired, over the past year. Two of four bathroom stalls were "out of order" with locked door or "out of toilet paper" entire evening (even after notifying staff before movie started ) last night . Paper towel dispenser remained empty as well. Obviously , it's struggling to make it! Customers can do our part to help support this AMC 14 Riverview theatre. But there is little reason to keep returning when management shows little interest in addressing the deteriorating conditions. read more

First time going to this theatre since moving to Florida. Purchased tickets online with ease. Upon arrival, just showed the QR code for the tickets and headed to get snacks. The line was long, but moved at a reasonable pace. The seats were easy to find, the theater was clean and enjoyed the reclining seats. Would definitely see another movie there again. read more

The managers at this location don't know how to run a business, and you will definitely have a terrible experience. The worker who check the tickets argues all the time with customers. This is a terrible location to watch your movie. I don't recommend going to this AMC theater at all. read more

Not a fan of this theater's seating. They have recliners sitting way too close together so if someone sits next to me their butt would be all up in my face as they maneuver around the attached trays. Luckily the theater was 90% empty so no one was close by. Not a good start for my first return to movie theaters since January 2020 prior to the pandemic shutdown. read more

Theater 6 and maybe others on this side has a terrible vent/AC fan that is sooo loud and constant. Super distracting during movies. It has been like this for a long time. Shame on them for no getting it fixed! There is no excuse. Taking money for films and giving people this kind of experience is shameful. We otherwise really like this theater, so it's really sad management is saving a few bucks on maintenance at the patrons detriment. read more

Okay...I know it's been tough for the theater industry as a whole. We, like many, haven't been to too many movies over the last couple of years. Last evening we ventured out to see Top Gun Maverick. My disappointment was related to two things neither of which was the movie. One, the theater itself was "tired" just worn and tattered. I realize there hasn't been revenue to use for maintenance...so kind of understandable. Two, the place was a mess. Cup holders at the seats were sticky and gross, empty cups and wrappers just about everywhere. The waste container as you exit the theater was overflowing with trash. There was no custodial work to be seen. Not a very inviting atmosphere. read more

We walked into the movie theater and the screen was blank with no music and no sound. 15 mins after show start time we go find someone who informs us that there was power outage and they are going to cut the trailers. The movie started 45 mins later. At no point did any employee or manager come in to address the full theater of this issue or offer an apology. We had to go hunt this down ourselves. My husband and I hadn't been to the movies in a couple years! We decided to go last night to see haunted mansion! The movie theater was clean and nice. The staff was awesome. The only thing I have to complain about is there not being enough staff on to take the concession stands. Other than that, it was a great night! read more

We went up there to see Aquaman and I swear that it smelled like Weed and Teen Spirit in our auditorium. Definitely my fave theater in the area! I was going to a different one in the area and then tried this one! It was so much better!! The seats recline and they have a tray for your drinks and snacks! It's very clean and has good food options for snacks. They also had a bar area so if you wanted to take a cocktail or glass of wine to your movie you can. They also offer imax which is what we saw and I was impressed with how great the movie was in imax!! read more

We honestly haven't been to the movie theater since moving to Tampa 4 years ago! This afternoon we decided to give it a go. We went at 4pm during the week. We were pleasantly surprised by this theater. The theater was spotless! The seats were great. Very spacious reclining seats with trays and drink holders. The seats were all vinyl and not that material of yesteryear that's impossible to clean! I appreciated that!! There was machines in the lobby to purchase tickets to avoid lines, although there were no lines. The theater was empty!There was a large concession stand with all kinds of movie theater snacks. You can also reserve your choice of seats online. Also, when you arrive you are able to pick your seats. In the lobby of this theater was a Pub serving alcoholic beverages as well as snacks. There was hand sanitizer available all throughout the theater. I did notice a machine outside the individual theater with a fountain Soda machine and free refills sign. I also read on their site that they have upgraded their ventilation system. Fresh outdoor air is circulated into the theater 24/7. They have also upgraded their filtration system to beyond the industry standards. I felt very safe at this movie theater. The parking lot for this theater is huge and no one should have a problem finding a parking spot. read more

Whew, AMC absolutely sucks. This was my favorite movie theatre. AMC has closed the bar, closed the restaurant, and raised prices for movies and concessions. The original place was an Excellent place to come to dinner, have a drink, hang out, and watch a movie with fair prices. Unfortunately COVID hIt and gave AMC a chance to take over. Pricing Examples: $13 for a regular movie. $17 for popcorn and a fountain drink. $23 for a pretzel and fountain drink. $6.50 for a regular sized hot dog. +tax on all items including movie tickets. Used to be priced with tax. We haven't been to a movie for a while during COVID and after this rip-off, we will stay home and watch movies. read more

Love this theater! I went here a few nights ago to watch Tenet, and the staff was super sweet. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The theater itself is also extremely nice with reclining seats (w a small table and cup holder) and good sound systems. Prices are around average, and it ended up being around $19 for the two of us. When we went (around 6 on a Sat.) there was nobody else in the theatre as well - always a bonus! I highly recommend GDX. It is super well kept and clean, and they have very nice amenities. read more

This movie theatre is all you can ask for. First off I would like to say the staff is amazing! They took care of us fairly quick and simple. The seats in the theatre were reclinable and also had a food tray. The seats were big and spacious. Happy to see that we can go back to the movies after the whole pandemic. Had an amazing time and I would likely be back to this location in particular. The parking lot is huge so no worries of getting a spot to park. Come on in and I bet you won't regret it! read more
