I split my time between this location, as well as the Riverview location near my house depending on movie availability. Both are convenient. I enjoy that this location has a lot of variety, places to go beforehand, and good food/drink options While I usually enjoy this location, there is definitely a need for the whole place to have a refresh since things are getting a bit dated (seats squeak, seat covers old in places, screens/lighting need updating, carpets etc) Generally I've found the cinema to be mostly clean, but there are times when the restrooms are in need of a little attention. Went to see Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning in theater 15. Seemed like the air wasn't working probably, multiple people brought it up to management, but nothing was done. It's the only time I've sweat in a movie theater, where usually you go to escape the heat. Many theater seats were broken or loose. We ordered ahead snacks that were not ready on time. The snacks were standard theater fare, really glad I got an Icee with my popcorn this time! Movie was pretty good, typical Mission Impossible high octane action. The theatre isn't the newest and doesn't have reclining seats but they have comfy chairs that rock. The chairs are really high (and I'm on the shorter side) so I could barely see over the chair in one of the smaller theaters. In the larger theaters on the premises it's not an issue. The staff is great. I accidentally purchased tickets to the wrong theater (across town) and the guy at the front desk was able to accommodate me despite all the holiday madness and crowds going on around him. It was quite a relief because I had two little ones with me. Movies aren't cheap and corporations should do better but the staff is great. The online convenience fee is absurd but not the theatre's fault but I need to say it. read more

1 Star - AMC: A Modern Horror Story (But Not the Fun Kind) If I could give zero stars and a strongly worded letter in cursive, I would. This theater is so outdated it felt like I was stepping into a time capsule, except instead of 1995 nostalgia, I was greeted with burnt popcorn, sticky floors, and existential dread. Let's talk about these seats. No recliners. No leg room. Just the same rock-hard folding chairs that Moses probably used at the first drive-in. And forget trying to see the screen unless you're sitting in the front row with your neck at a 90-degree angle like you're watching a movie from inside a dryer. It's like AMC just said, "What if we don't stagger the seats at all?" Genius. Now I know the back of the guy's head in front of me better than I know the plot of the movie. Burnt popcorn. Not even slightly overcooked--no, we're talking full-on campfire. I bit into it and tasted regret and ash. And no, they didn't remake it. They just looked at me like I burned it. I'm sorry, was I supposed to bring my own popcorn air popper? This place was also a disaster zone. Trash everywhere, floors stickier than a toddler's birthday party, and I'm pretty sure I saw a rogue nacho roaming freely. Do y'all mop? Or do you just wait for the soda to crystallize? And when it was time to leave? Oh, we entered the twilight zone of fear. Pitch black halls, zero lighting, and not a single employee in sight. I didn't know if I was leaving a movie or getting initiated into a haunted escape room. I clutched my keys like a weapon. My life flashed before my eyes--mostly scenes of better theaters. In conclusion: AMC, I paid $18 to sit in a folding chair, chew charcoal, and fear for my safety. 1/17/26 theater 18 showing 3:35pm they stopped the movie to fix the audio and made it so much worse the loud parts were so loud I was covering my ears and so was the person in front of me. I went to the front desk and told the kid with a headset on and he said they couldn't do anything. They also advertised they would have the collectors bucket and magnet and they did not. read more

Nice there's a 20 screen theater 15 minutes away in this movie environment... AMC has all the blockbusters, and plenty of screens for the premiere week of any of your favorites. Multiple back counters throughout the theater that are actually manned and not locked up on busier days. Relatively clean, the seats recline and the sound and visuals are great. Previews, as always, are far longer than necessary but they have to make money any way they can I guess. read more

This theater has so much missed potential. Great location - horrible accommodations and service. I've been coming out to the theaters on a weekly basis taking advantage of the perks from being a member. In the most recent weeks - I've utilized this theater and come to find the theaters and bathrooms to always be dirty or low standard. Today while watching Crime 101 I actually seen a ROACH crawling on the ledge in front of me!! I literally want a refund for that experience alone, so GROSS!! On the last 2 occasions - I've PREORDERED popcorn with my ticket just to find staff members do "NOT" have my order. Although there was cold popcorn sitting out, they even refused to sell it to me. Additionally, you cannot take advantage of free refills on large popcorn in the late night hrs because they close the kitchen at 10:30. So for example - if you have a 10:30 movie time you better hall ass and get as much food and drinks as possible although you paid for FREE REFILLS for the duration of your 2+ hr movie. I can understand closing the main concession stand but you still have customers to service!! Why have additional stands without additional service? As if the experience wasn't bad enough I got to my preordered seats today and a couple was in our seats. I refused to ask them to leave but it also dawned on me - Why have cops and staff if your still going to have people breaking the rules? AMC Brandon needs to DO BETTER! read more

First time back at the movies since the pandemic started and Brandon's AMC was "top gun" all the way. The theater was super clean and you could buy tickets and pre-order snacks online. I went to see "Top Gun: Maverick" on its opening day, on a holiday weekend.. and crowds were super manageable. (Maybe because it was Friday afternoon) You can choose your seat ahead of time online, too-so I knew exactly which showing had the best seats and the most room, between us and others. Brandon has this film playing in several auditoriums, so you have lots of choices. The bar was also open by the 1:45 showtime, which was tempting... but I stuck to my bucket of soda and giant gallon drum of popcorn. This is a big facility, with lots of bathrooms and parking. The back concession area wasn't open, but it didn't need to be-the stand at the front had things covered. And again, everything was super clean: no spilled soda or straw wrappers by the soda machines-which are self-serve, so you get exactly the blend you want. No sticky floors or spilled popcorn. I can't say enough about how spotless it was-so nice!! I'll be back next month to see the new "Elvis" film. I'm excited already! See you at the movies! read more

Went to go see Sonic 2 with my son and tickets were easy they scan them right off the phone. We got inside and the floors and bathrooms were a little messy but mostly just popcorn and wrappers. We got to the concession stand and I already had pre purchased snacks so they got everything ready and we were on our way to the movie! We got the Dolby seats which were definitely great! They were recliners and spaced out in twos so we were able to sit comfortably to watch the movie almost a little too comfortable, my son started to fall asleep lol but ended up staying to finish the movie. I've driven past this one a few times through the years but have not had the occasion to visit. This time we were coming down to Portillo's for a birthday lunch and decided to round it out with a movie at this AMC. We booked the tickets online through the app which is very convenient. when we got here there was plenty of room in the parking lot which is the short walk inside. The problem began when I couldn't get access to any Wi-Fi so I could not bring my ticket up on my phone. They did offer to assist by looking it up but before we got in I finally got access to the ticket. They were very friendly and willing to be very helpful which I found impressive stop & shop. They had coupons for the $5 Cameo popcorn and drink for teens but said that anyone could use them at that time. As it is my teenagers birthday I got one for them and one for me. We were in theater 16 row h seats four five and six. The setup getting into this theater is a little odd for what I am used to from other theaters but still easy to get in. We found her sheets quickly and settled in. The seats were very uncomfortable to sit in for the length of a movie. mine I either had to sit forward on or it would lean all the way back on its own. The padding is completely worn down inside them. from the outside the theater looks fairly nice and like it has been cleaned or painted recently inside the actual theater updating is definitely needed. The good news is people in the theater were courteous and the movie itself was excellent. I think if some updating was done I would consider coming back again. This one is over an hour from where we live. read more

No rating is best. Went to this theatre to see a movie at 3:05 pm to be told sorry we started the movie 20 minutes earlier than scheduled perhaps YOU can see the movie later. Standing at the ticket counter no empathy no pass to come back we are sorry nope nada. Apparently the 2 pm people had to be moved to my threatre because of an error with that projector they saw their movie 45 minutes late. I walked away & called to speak to the mgr which it took 6 phone calls to get anyone to answer. Again treated like it's my fault they had an issue& I can just come back later. I will never come back there are so many other options. This threatre could have at anytime gave me a free ticket and I would have felt better about their lack of empathy. Don't go here the movie time or projector could be screwed up & you will have to come back later. Who does that to a CUSTOMER. Do you know what a Customer is, Manager didn't get it. read more

This was my first visit to this movie theater. The amount of police in the parking lot didn't bode well but sometimes looks can be deceiving. They have the main ticket booth shut down due to COVID so you have to go inside and buy your ticket. The lady at the ticket booth was really friendly and we even had a laugh because I couldn't remember the name of the movie I was going to see. I bought my ticket on Fandango so that made things easy at entry. The concession stand looked to be well stocked and there were 3 people working the counter. I attended a movie at 5 pm so the theater nor the concession stand were busy but everyone seemed to be keeping busy though cleaning something or answering phone calls. I headed to my theater room and since it's assigned seating when you book online, it was easy to just get to my seat. I did notice as a walked down the aisle that the seats prior to mine looked pretty nasty. I challenged myself to determine if the two seats I passed had a spilled beverage on the seats or "other fluids". Since it's somewhat dim in the theater you really need to check before you sit down. The seats are leather or some sort of simulated leather. It is a bit better than the old-school theater seats that are cloth or carpet material. Nothing too special though. I did see that they have adult beverages at the bar inside the theater so that could make for some fun times or not-so-fun times if people don't know how to hold their liquor. There were police walking the hallways of the theater too, which again didn't bode well. I can only imagine how things are on the weekend and at night. I did enjoy the movie although there were only 7 people in the movie theater and some people decided to sit next to me and eat popcorn and talk loudly. I get that there are assigned seats but they honestly could have sat in any of the other 100+ seats but it is what it is. I would go back to this theater but probably only during daylight hours. read more

Most uncomfortable , worst seating ever. They advertise reclining seats , however those are only the very first row directly in front of the of the screen. Experience was bad from the beginning. Movie (previews) we're scheduled to start at 8:00pm and by 8:04pm there was only a white screen that appeared to be like a computer screen with words-no previous. Our isle was completely dirty, sticky stuff on the ground, chairs and floor with popcorn. We even had to move the yellow caution sign ourselves. Mid thru the show, the lights turned on and right after the show seemed to skip scenes after a brief freeze of the movie. Also there's piles of trash taking up parking spaces. We went online to purchase tickets and concession stand. That went well. Got there the lobby was nice and cool. Went to bathroom and it was ok clean. Went to concession stand got 2 large drinks and large popcorn. Drink selection was good. Went to go to our reserved seats in number 12 theater. It was hot. Have you ever been in a place in a storm and the electricity went out. Well except for the lights being on this is the way it was. Stale hot air. Even the ceiling fan was not going. We got our seats we called the theater AMC at that location. Told them it was hot. " We are working on getting them on." The seats are narrow at least for me I am glad no one sat on my right side because my arm and elbow would be half in their lap. The seats are very hard and unforgiving. We are there for a 3 hour stay at least. We watched the movie. Starting to leave. Backs are drenched wet with the air-conditioning not being turned low enough. $14 dollars a ticket and concession stand prices you should be able to make it comfortable. Well we plan on not going back, it's not even funny. So I can't say it's ridiculous. If the news reports say ticket sales are done at this place at least I will know why and anyone else that reads this review will know too. They use the coolness of the lobby to lure us in thinking the seating areas are going to be just again. Ask if you can go see how cool it is before buying your tickets, I imagine they will deny you. Maybe say we are working on it to get it cooler. The further from the main lobby you get the hotter you will be. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised that going to this AMC for prime time showing was only $13. Typically I see pricing of $16+ for Saturday evening showings at different theaters. We drove up from Lakewood Ranch to see Top Gun in iMax. We paid above normal prices for this experience. The theaters were disgustingly dirty. Popcorn on the seats along with the floor and butter all over the floor making it slippery and obviously a fall risk. We complained and asked for someone to come clean and they said they "will try". Obviously, that didn't happen. Just gross. Held my purse the entire time as there is no way I'd put it on the floor. Plus, this is the first movie of the day so you'd think they would have cleaned after the last movie last night or this morning. No excuse for the money paid. Not an enjoyable experience, whatsoever. Solid place! A little dirty on the inside, but nothing too bad. It feels a little bit like a mall theater.

I've been going to this theater since I was a kid and it opened. It has been quite some time since I've been to this location and the movies in general, with all that's been going on in the world. On my return back to the movies I decided to see F9, the latest in the Fast and Furious saga, on the IMAX theater. Ticketing was quick and effortless and there are social distancing guidelines being followed with one seat separating each party. Concessions were packed as usual and only the main concession is open. I don't think the secondary concession has ever opened in all the years this theater has been here. All pricing at the concessions is ridiculously inflated, but I guess that's par for the course for a theater. The IMAX does seem a bit dated as the seats do tilt and are leather bound, but recliners like they have in the Dolby Theater at this location would be a welcome addition. Overall customer service was decent and the movie played without issue. read more

I drove to this theater from my city (Zephyrhills) because they had a pre release showing of the new Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning and the theater was extremely hot inside through the entire movie even after someone complained that the AC was not working and we're told it would kick on when the movie started. It never did. Very uncomfortable!!!! The Ladies restroom at the front of the theater was closed and I had to walk to the back of the theater to use a second one they had. Not only were the restrooms disgusting but they should have working restrooms near the exits where people usually need to run once the movie ends. Seats are cushioned but the old style movie theater seats which were also uncomfortable. I hope this theater gets a much needed upgrade soon. read more

Nice theater with a variety of screens options to choose from. They also have a bar area just off from the snack counter for those seeking adult beverages. If you go on a Tuesday it's only $5 to watch a movie! But it is reserved seating and can get busy, and this is also a day when parents bring lots of kids to watch a movie, low cost, so based on the movie you're going to watch, keep this in mind. The place was as expected for a national movie theater chain. They have all the snacks and drinks like you expect, the place was clean and looked fine. The seats were clean and comfy enough for a 2 hour movie. The sound and picture quality was also as expected, and all good. I will go here again. 3.5 to whoever is responsible in operating the film screening, like wow I really hate giving bad reviews but this has to be said. Went with the girls to see Gucci movie n first off. Theater 10 was wack! Film wasn't centered right nor stretched out to boarder. The movie started n ran for almost 30mins without audio. Took em a while to fix but the film stayed dead center on screen not fully stretched out like other movies. I huge hiccup from their part. Kinda makes me worry that nobody was in the camera booth paying attention. Now I'm kinda scared of coming back here. Especially when it was 6 of us, expensive night out. I understand that they understaffed but u can't just flip a switch n leave it on auto. What if an emergency happens? I have worked in theater in amusement parks before n that would be huge safety violation. Both the fire department and corporate would had hanged us out to dry. I will give staff out front the 5 and the ones running the food stand another 5 cuz they were on point and quick about the process. Never have drama with them. This isn't the first time i have had problems with screens or audio in this one. I may give them another try but if it happens again i will be obligated to slap a "AT your own risk" tag on it. Again I understand most places are understaffed but to the point of not having someone supervising a theater is a risk I wouldn't take as the lead. read more

Their parking lot is grossly undersized for a theater with 20 screens. The setup for buying your tickets and then checking in is the ABSOLUTE WORST, no way to regulate the people walking in, anyone can cut in front of you and just stroll on into the theater to wherever they want to go. If you're a Premier Member and supposed to get preferential treatment t the concession stand, you can basically forget it as the employees who are supposed to say, "Next Premier Guest" if there are guests in the designated line, just say "Next Guest" and you get totally ignored because there is no and I do mean NO crowd control at all. The floors in the common areas are filthy and there's no one even attempting to do anything that resembles housekeeping. The theater... not even touched with a broom, mop, dustpan, not even a Swiffer Sweeper! Just gross all the way around. From trash literally on the counters when you're placing your order to them being even worse where you pick up your food. I can't believe this is even an AMC theater, maybe a Lowes or a Flagship but definitely not an AMC Theater. I ordered the Cheeseburger sliders from the concession stand and wouldn't you know it, they been sitting for a good while because the person who boxed them forgot what he did with my order number so they were cold and hard... disgusting. The floors hadn't been cleaned in the theater we were in at all. Even the seats I had to go online to reserve we're BAD as the AMC app doesn't show you that there's a guard rail right in your line of sight preventing you from being able to see the screen. All in all, we'll NEVER visit this theater again. Movies and concessions cost too much money to settle for substandard service. I'm very disappointed in you AMC!!! read more

Very disappointing theatre experience on a Tuesday night. We came from Palm Harbor to meet friends from Lakeland to see Kinky Boots @7. It started at 7:18 - 18 minutes into the show. We sat and watched as it was rewound to what we hope was the beginning. But we aren't sure. At 7:19, the lights went out. At 7:20, the volume was turned up so we could hear it clearly. At intermission, I used the women's room. No soap was in 3 dispensers, and the fourth had just a little spurt. Of the two towel dispensers, only one had towels. The two Dyson hand dryers did work. After the movie, I used the bathroom again. The fourth dispenser had no soap now. I tried to use the hand sanitizer, but it was empty, too. When we first got to the theater at 6:30, very few people were in the lobby. Rebekah was accommodating and friendly, providing quick service with our popcorn and drinks. However, after the movie, the staff at concessions was doing the best they could with only 3 cashiers on duty for a very long line of customers. At Customer Service, only one person was available. When I asked to see a manager, I was told that the manager was assisting the 3 ushers on duty. For so many theaters (20?), these young people had more than they could handle though they tried their best. We have had a high opinion of AMC Theaters, especially AMC Woodlands, 3 miles from home. But tonight's experience lowered that opinion. read more

As a former employee at Regency, I can honestly say it was a fantastic working experience. My coworkers were a tight knit community that worked to bring each other up and create a sense of family like none other. Even the managers were absolutely spectacular. They focused on the needs of the crew and made everyone feel like their opinions were welcome. I can highly suggest working there if you want to work with heavily intertwined people who want nothing but to lift you up. Now, were we the cleanest theater? Not by a long shot. Regency isn't the cleanest, but the ushers and janitorial staff do their best to make sure everything is up to par and work to resolve cleanliness issues throughout the day. I'm honestly proud of all the progress that was made during my time there. I'm thankful of the experience I gained there and the friends I made. read more

This location may be one of the worst AMC theaters I've been too. The building is old, the surround system is weak, one of the two dispensers were out of butter. Additionally, all AMCs I've been to give out free cardboard trays so that you can split your popcorn. This one said they weren't allowed to give them out. Additionally, other AMCs have the slurpee Machine outside so you are allowed to get unlimited slurpee refills. It's disappointing as I know I could've gone to another AMC branch, paid for the ticket of same price, and have a much better experience. read more

So the Dolby theater at AMC Regency technically does have recliners. However, multiple rows of the recliners do not work (for example row E), and are either stuck fully reclined or normal seated state. This means that you literally have to dive into the seat to start with, and it's a nightmare to get out. Haven't been to this theater in years because of other problems (dirty theaters with sticky floors and armrests, broken seats) but figured it was worth it to try again for the new Avatar movie. Wish I had not bothered. So the Dolby experience at Regency: pay extra for your ticket, likely spill your drink or concession items trying to sit down, being stuck either fully reclined or seated the whole time, depending on the luck of the draw. read more

I'm spoiled, I admit it. But these days when I go to an AMC theatre, I kind of expect the leather recliners, the nicely set up theatres, the either staffed ticketing windows or the computer kiosks that work. This theatre had none of these. There was one fella, who had to work 2 lines, the unwashed and the Stubb's preferred. And it was slow going. Especially when you had to pick your seat, since it's out doors and the glare was horrible. Inside the seat I'd chosen was WAY too close to the screen, apparently I chose poorly or didn't understand the set up, but thankfully it was an underwhelming attendance so we had our pick of seats. The seats, not recliners, not comfortable and not even truly stadium seating. Clearly this theatre is showing it's age. I hope that it gets is much needed upgrade soon. read more
