Visited Centro Cantina in the early hours of New Years which I was excited for because we have never been. The ambiance was amazing and being up high seeing the crowds of people through Ybor enjoying NYE was incredible- there really aren't a lot of balcony bars in Ybor. Drinks were the cheapest here out of 4 other places we went to. Service was okay but it was also last call so I don't think I can speak to regular hour aspects of service. I absolutely love the slushy cocktails and wanted to stop by a location with this option, during a day trip to Tampa (and since Wet Willies has apparently closed). Well, they definitely had many options!! After a day at the zoo, my partner and I wanted to have some adult fun and cool off a bit. Loved all of my drinks and the flavors (with the extra shots in the slushes for only $2!)... can't beat that. The only drawback to this location was the service and upkeep. Not sanitizing tables after each group left, allowing smoking (a designated smoking area would help us non smokers) and the service was just okay at the bar. My cup had a leak/ crack in the bottom and I didn't realize it immediately but many napkins later, I figured it out. I had to wait about 6 minutes for the server to come back out, in which she gave me another cup to dump it in. Very nice view and drinks (I didn't try the food); laid back atmosphere. What a killer spot in historic Ybor City!! We stopped in for a couple of drinks and to kick back on a Monday night on our Florida vacation and I must say I loved this place! They have an array of frozen alcoholic beverages that are darn worth every bit of the $10.00! We got the Rum runner and the Face plant! Each one topped with Bacardi and the rum runner topped with 151, Party! The atmosphere was fun, vibrant and overlooking a small square which was fun to people watch from! Didn't try any food, but they seem to offer Mexican style bar snacks as this is much more a place to get boozy at! Bartender was very helpful and polite and had the bar sparkling clean.
