While that's very impressive to me, I feel like their services have perhaps been eclipsed in some regards by Image is Everything and other local business which cater to SCAD students' printing needs. That said, Savannah Blueprint has always been a blueprinter servicing the industries which use arch/industrial reprographics and not a typical printer. They still get a good deal of business from SCAD kids in the building arts fields plus professionals in the same areas and those in civil, structural, and marine engineering. CADD, desktop publishing and good office/home printers which don't cost a king's ransom have all changed the game and yet these guys hang in and seem to do alright. All the work I've had done by Savannah Blueprint has been just fine. I have no complaints, but then once you've been in this field over ten years you probably have things down, and these folks have been here nearly a century. Why three stars? Savannah Blueprint also carries a number of drafting and surveying instruments and supplies and I've found their selection to be a little lackluster and some of the supplies downright dusty. The downtown office is small and crowded and while I don't fault them for that, I feel that if they want to offer core drafting supplies they could expand their selection because no one much else in the region has a good selection and they, with their history here, could corner the market. Savannah Blueprint also carries--or at least used to carry--USGS maps, but now you can get those for free as PDFs online straight from the source. Sometimes it feels like businesses like Savannah Blueprint are being slowly forced to go the way of the dinosaur due to the Internet and digital innovation, but I think they'll adapt as they have all along. I'm glad they're here, but wish they'd expand their supplies selection and make their website better.

Called Savannah Blue, spoke to Cyrus (who ROCKS, btw), and was extremely pleased to find that they could accommodate our seriously rushed job, going above and beyond the service I would expect. Now - I'm reviewing them, not having seen the results of their work, but I'm betting it's gonna be stellar!

If you need custom embroidery done make sure you stop in to get work done. Most of the time you are able to get the piece in the same day is the shop isn't busy. If you want to kill two birds with one stone stop in and you can shop in the mall while you wait. Overall this shop deserves an A. Anyways. So I was in a pickle and had to get 5 USAF BHG uniforms done for a parade within like 3 days. These uniforms used to take the alterations shop on base about 2 weeks to do from scratch. I sent the specs over to Chrissy along with one of my older uniforms and with a few looks she had it. she knocked out five fully dressed USAF BHG uniforms from nothing to something in 3 days. that include hems, tapers, sew in creases, piping , ranks, waists. no easy task when you virtually have to take the pants apart to do it and then sew them back together again. the prices are more than fair especially if you look at the alternatives on base. she is a master of the trade. Need custom pillows made?she can do it ( I walked in and saw her doing it), need drapes? she can handle that too? need a dress done? bring it in. BY THE WAY-- Name tapes can be done here! why pay the Exchange and have to wait weeks when she can have them done for less and in no time flat. Name tape machine on site! To be a one person shop and provide the service that she does and in the timely manner that she does it makes this shop pretty dang good!

THEIR "REPAIR" RUINED MY SOFA UPHOLSTERY! DON'T GO HERE!…read more The upholstery on my sofa detaches and is machine washable. I tore it while putting it back on. I asked them sew a similar fabric on the UNDERSIDE to reinforce it and keep it from ripping more. Didn't need to be perfect, I knew the tear itself could not be sewn together but patching and stitching the underside could mitigate the damage. I came to pick it up and BOTH SIDES were covered in a fabric patch that's not even a close match! I was told that there wasn't a way to reinforce it from the underside so they just did both. Even if that were true (it's not), why did no one call me FIRST and tell me the work I requested and paid for wasn't possible? This is a very basic ask of a professional tailor, it's unbelievable they got it so wrong! This patch is so much worse than the original tear. The sofa was custom made in Japan and is a one of a kind piece. Pics of the tear and what they did to it. The pics of the denim repair is an example of what I asked them to do.

Was glad I did not have to search for a location and drive elsewhere. I walked in and stated my iPhone needed new battery. I had no knowledge of any off-market battery available for iPhones so would never have had a thought to ask, and was not informed of that upon requesting service and absolutely no indication of that. Unknown to me, and w/o any info provided, I assumed a 'new' Apple battery was placed in my phone. I paid and left. I received a message on phone from Apple the second I plugged it in for charging..."non Apple battery". I called Apple support to inquire, and they informed me of their policy and would not repair or even "touch an iPhone with an aftermarket battery", and they suggested I return it because it can and does causes problems. As I used it that evening, it was obvious something was not right in the performance of phone. I noticed the warranty limit on receipt, so after calling the next day, had an appointment set up two days later when a 'skilled person' would be there to swap it out. I was told it had to be ordered. Another trip back in...all "convenience" already void...supposed new Apple battery was installed. I inquired why I was not informed or given a choice about Apple battery at first visit. The very nice employee told me that "THERE USED TO BE A SIGN ON THE COUNTER...I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO IT." Immediately that evening i knew something wasn't right...battery ran very, very low w/minimal use! I tried charging it several nights, I always start charge before retiring and is completely charged in the a.m.. It charged, but again started losing charge right away and lost all charge by evening. I am not a frequent phone user all day at all. I have found no e-mail address to get my message in over the weekend, and there is no also voicemail available to leave a message. I will try when store opens at 10:00 and so hopefully won't have to make TWO MORE trips! I ended up paying $160.00 for an Apple battery that is faulty and does not work. Have never had this happen. Pretty bad and extremely inconvenient and time-consuming. Just the facts. I will update review.

The woman, who I assume to be the owner, told me that because Tuesday, July 4, 2017 is a holiday that the plant that they send their dry cleaning to would be closed, so the earliest they could get my dress back to me is July 6, 2017 by noon. I had planned to leave for a funeral in MIAMI once I retrieved my black dress from them. I get a call at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 saying my dress wasn't ready. This was clearly a breach not only of an oral contract but a written one as well, because she documented that my dress would be returned to me by Thursday, July 6, 2017 at noon. Because they failed to complete their end of the contract, I now must go and purchase another dress. I don't know about you, but I don't have cash to be throwing around for dresses because a BUSINESS failed to come through. When I said I won't be paying full price because you all failed to complete your end of the deal, she said "I can't do that". So now, I have to purchase a dress and also pay her. If she is hurting that badly for business, then I will throw her her little $15 dollar fee for my late dress, that I will have to retrieve upon my return to Pooler. So unprofessional. This place is a joke.
