Have used Xpress over the years... in the past, he fixed broken charger connection on my old S8 and replaced camera lenses on my son's old LG phone. He's helped my friend get back into her locked iPhone as well. In June, my S22 Ultra screen was cracked and then the screen started flickering and went black (despite still being responsive). I got a few quotes from various repair shops for both OEM and aftermarket screen replacement. Jimmy gave me a fair quote: aftermarket old screen $220 vs OEM screen $330, screen protector $20. I chose the aftermarket OLED for $220 because he had it on hand already and I needed my phone working ASAP. He discounted the screen protector to $10, so it cost me $230 total to fix. (Cash only; their credit card machine doesn't work and I don't think they plan to fix it). It takes about 1-2hrs to replace so I went to eat and came back. It was ready in 40 mins. I was pleased and my phone was working again. A month later, the top part of my screen started to flicker and showed signs that the display was starting to go bad again. I came back to Jimmy with the receipt and he honored the warranty and replaced my screen and screen protector again. Took 2 hours and my phone was back to normal again. Jimmy gave a second receipt and said this new replacement screen would have a 30-day warrant as well. That is amazing service and deserves 5! The only caveat is that the screen protector made it hard for my S22 Ultra to recognize my fingerprint. It would occasionally work initially and then stopped recognizing or be able to even capture a new fingerprint at all. I think it was due to the thickness of the screen protector? Later, it seemed whatever glue was used for the screen protector started to melt a little due to the extreme heat wave in CA and the top right corner seemed to bubble. Later my top volume button got stuck and I'm not sure if it was due to the glue seeping or something else. Anyhow, I removed the screen protector and my fingerprint is recognized again... so I would probably skip the screen protector next time. Top volume button still doesn't work, but will use as-is for now and replace later ($60) once I get a new phone and can put this spare in the shop. read more

This man messed up my Daughters iphone! He didnt put her sim card back in so once we got home she couldnt make any calls and her screen had black lines! When I took the phone back the following week he tried to act like he didnt remember us coming in and wouldnt fix the phone because i couldnt find the piece of paper but I already paid him on the original day that he messed up the phone. Plus he smelled like he had been drinking very strong alcohol smell on his breath while talking to me and he was trying to argue with me about a reciept instead of fixing the phone that he messed up! It all of a sudden said "no SIM card" He acted like he fixed it, as soon as I left and drove to the freeway, I attempted to make a call from my Bluetooth. It said it again "no SiM reader. I decided to turn my phone off to refresh it. I forgot about even making another call being that I was on the rode. I was out of town up until today not even 48 ours later. Needed to make a call home and not only was I not able to. The volume adjustment wasn't working. Screenshot. Not able to lock or turn off my phone. Also, no internet service. I go back because they give yuh a 30 day " receipt" wish is a total SCAM. They don't honor it. Not even 2 days later. And they wanna charge for everything. A new SIM reader. Great service here. Jimmy took care of me. My phone had gotten water damage and apple was asking for $500 to replace it! Jimmy got my phone to turn on but it would crash every couple minutes. I luckiily had verizon insurance so i didn't have to pay full price to get it replaced but I really appreciated the time and effort that Jimmy took in trying to remedy my phone. i think he had my phone for close to 3 weeks before calling in quits and he didn't charge me for anything because he couldn't repair it. got some iphone screens repaired from this place, sketchy shop , and what i've noticed is that everytime i got my screen repaired, it was always with some aftermarket cheap screen that always breaks. they take your new and hood cracked iphone screen and fix the glass and probably resells it and fixes phones but yeah, you just get some aftermarket cheap iphone screen so id reccomend not going here and going somewhere else more trusted that won't give you aftermarket shit screens for a premium price. they try to hide the quality of screen by giving you a free crappy glass screen cover as well that reduced the touch and feel of the screen. overall very disappointing from this place. read more

Have been here before with good results. This time had a microphone replaced and these clowns swapped out my factory screen with a less quality screen. I know this because after owning my phone for three years never cracking the the factory screen, after the repair my screen cracked for no reason. The first time was for my iphone 4s a long time ago and the second time was for my iphone 6. Both times was great. They have the cheapest price in OC. I know because I call around prior to going. They are also the fastest with repairs. After they fixed my screens you could not tell it had been broken prior. It looks exactly like the original. I got my IPhone 6 screen replaced today and it's work amazingly. I call the store and meet Jimmy, he explained to me me between an After Market screen or Original screen, which was around 50$ different. I pick the Original one and he replaced for only around 30min, then give me a free screen protector. I compare his price to other stores and he's the lowest. Great technicians, great service, great work & great prices! A couple weeks ago, I had my HP 17" laptops keyboard replaced... One place quoted me $140 for the part & install, but Xpress quoted me $60 for part & install. They had to order the part which took 3 days. Laptop was ready on the 4th day & works perfectly! Today, I finally decided to get my iPhone 6's screen replaced. Other places quoted me $85-$120, but Xpress quoted me $80 AND said it would take just 1 hour to replace. I thoroughly inspected the phone for any lifts on screen, to see if home button & touch sensor worked, camera (front & back) as well as checking display brightness. Beware of this place, took my friend here to repair his broken iPhone 6S screen, and we were given two options , the OEM screen or a knock off. We chose the original. Right when I received it the screen was having issues , I came back and got it fixed but was a little confused cause it shouldn't have any problems.. A few weeks later the phone starts to fade in color and flicker. The warranty for this place was 30 days and it already past that. I went to a different repair place for me to find out from another repairman that the screen given to me was fake, branded fake apple, and this guy apparently scams with old screens and lies and says it's OEM screens. My iPhone6 had touch disease and one of the ways to temporaril;y fix it is flex the phone a bit and then reopen. Well, I "kung-fu gripped" it and also cracked the screen. What a mess! Jimmy initially thought it may just be the touch screen but it ended up being both the IC chip and the screen. He cut me a break on the labor as he was already knee deep in the phone. $160 got me new IC chip (not a reflow), new touch screen and a tempered glass screen protector. Overall: He said he could repair the phone in 20-40 minutes and ended up taking 24 hours. Lowered his price 5 bucks but I still overpaid by 10. Seems like hes good at what he does though. I read several reviews and called several places to check prices, time/availability of service, and overall distance from my house. I found prices to repair my phone at 50, 55, 60, and 65 dollars (replace a LCD touchscreen on an LG), but only 1 place could do it the same day within 20 minutes, which Jimmy at Xpress said he could do. After being quoted at 65 I reasoned that the extra 15 or so dollars would be worth it as Jimmy could serve me that day. What happened: Dropped my phone off for repair. 20 minutes later I am told and shown that his replacement screen was 'defective' and he would need to now order a new one for the next day. Unfortunately I should have thrown more of a fit at this moment, but I unwittingly assumed he would automatically lower his price for next day service.
