This was a GA (General Admission) concert that I attended. I always give it up to people who can…read morestand for an entire show and because I really wanted to see Bob Moses and Cannons, I decided to give this type of experience a try for the first time. GA shows are not easy to attend because chances are, you will run into a more rowdier crowd. Here is how I prepared myself the day of to ease some of my anxiety: - Go early to secure a good spot to stand at. - Drink lots of water before going. You don't want to lose your space by going to the restroom. Expect to stand for 4+ hours. - Eat a good meal, you don't want to faint. - Wear comfortable shoes. We left on a Friday night from New Jersey to Philly during rush hour in mad traffic. Got to the venue 20 minutes before the show started and I was so surprised to get a spot in the first row in front of the stage. I was like...no wayyyy!!! Acoustic here transmitted pitch perfectly. My videos do not do it justice. The sound was incredible. I think I danced every second of every moment. We really lucked out with some of the nicest people around us. While dancing at one point, a girl tapped me on the shoulder and said..."you're like the only one dancing and I think that's awesome that you're not afraid to do so". I replied, it's frickin Bob Moses, how can you not dance? Loved that I got to dance with a couple of the wild girls standing near me. Lol. Staff here are extremely friendly. One of the security guards below the stage was nice enough to ask if I wanted any water. There are a few bar areas for alcoholic drinks and small bites. Highly recommend this cool a$$ venue. It was standing room only for this show but seats were available for an extra $200 in the upper mezzanine, first come first serve. Restrooms: clean and plenty of stalls. Note: River Casino across the street offers free parking. We got to grab a bite to eat there afterwards.

Parking crazy!…read more Setup: ok Good place to attend with good friends. Security call be extra some times

I have fun but it's not the best place to see anything you actually wanna hear…read more I'm pretty sure I've been here throughout the years. I think my first concert was here but we got so high on the way down I only remember two songs from the opener and none of the trip. This most recent visit was Friday. They wouldn't let my wife bring in her purse. However they let someone bring in a larger one right before her. So she drew attention to this. They didn't care. She had to go buy a $10 clear bag. This really wouldn't have been an issue if it wasn't so inconsistent. Also like I know you can charge whatever you want for food and drink cuz it's your venue and all but should you?! Anyway lawn tickets aren't really worth it. It's like hey you sit outside and watch other people attend a concert.

I would come back to the BB&T Pavilion again for a concert in the future based on when I came here…read moreto see Blondie and Elvis Costello. This was an outdoor concert. The sound was good, cool A/V with the projector screens and lights, and it was easy to move about during the concert. We had driven down and parked at BB&T. The peace of mind was worth the money out of pocket. At the time, we didn't often go to this area/part of Jersey, so we decided to park there. We purchased specific seats for this show. I thought the chairs were comfortable. Also, the concession booths had lots of options, and I remember the prices being reasonable.

WHAT?! How have I not reviewed you??!??…read more Okay, bear with me. Could the venue have more amenties? Sure. Could the ingress and throughways inside be managed better when the crowd is sardines in a can? Sure. Can every experience in life be "more" or "better" if we're being extra picky, eventually turning those same experiences into a sterile, "will never offend anyone," suburb-coded "I come into the city once in a while for a good show but I hate the parking situation" experience? Yes. But not the the TLA, no. The TLA is Philly as hell. It's not there to give you extra-wide seats or a pinky off the champagne glass kind of vibe. It's there to be affordable. It's there to connect you with all sorts of different people there to see the same great show. And it's there to remind you that sometimes, sticky sweaty is the way to go. In the TLA, we're rawdogging sweaty air and great acts. It's where you go to see the acts that come through town where everyone who shows up REALLY wanted to show up - the performers because they're not stadium famous, and the attendees because they love those same performers all up in their bones. Things might be tight in the venue, but there's always room for fun and dancing.

I was lucky to get balcony seats in row B - they were amazing! Pretty comfortable and an amazing view. There's also a bar up there so you don't have to go downstairs.

Amazing food. Service can be cold and dry…read more Ambiance : the music rocks when they have the bands . Crowd is usually tamed and quiet even with a banging band.

My Thanksgiving prix fixe experience was decent. Hostess was welcoming and they were kind when we were about 5min beyond their 15min lateness window (we did call ahead about it though). Our table was comfortable and attractive, but the lighting was such that somehow we were under a bright light while the rest of the room was quite dark so it felt a little on display. I also got a real "city vibe" from the other patrons, like just cold and pseudo-hostile as I've often felt from city dwellers as a suburbanite. No smiles or even acknowledgment from others as you walk to/from the bathroom or brush past someone getting to your seat. Just did not feel like any holiday was happening in there. Other places downtown don't seem to have this vibe despite their obvious urban demographic. It could be the cold weather, political climate, or just that crowd at that time, but that was the overwhelming ambiance I felt. Had the "All In The Family" bourbon flight, including Basil Hayden, Knob Creek, and Maker's Cask. Loved the Maker's Cask, was not a fan of the others. Also had a Michter's US*1 which was a lucky blind pick for me, very good! I will say our server was quite sweet and did a very good job. She smiled, made eye contact, and was knowledgeable about the food. She wasn't fully versed in the extensive whiskey menu but they really need some kind of manual or bourbon "Bible" to explain all the various batches and makers, so I don't discredit her for that, though Twisted Tail ought to be on top of that with a didactics for their bountiful booze. I acknowledge and second many photos and reviews saying seasoning was needed, particularly on meats. My husband needed salt to try to save his "prime rib" by which he was so disappointed and consequently grumpy the rest of the meal. My son's ham was good but not the highest quality. My short rib was okay but also needed salt. Sides were varied and plentiful, and all tasted decent. I'd have to say they redeemed the meal for me. The variety and selection were spot on for Thanksgiving, all the tastes and flavors you would want or expect of the holiday! Dessert was pies that tasted at least a week old. They were dry, flavorless (except sugar), and difficult to cut. After 2 bites I just stopped eating. Flavors were the predictable pumpkin, apple or pecan. It really doesn't matter which I ate because all we tried were equally terrible. They charged an obligatory 20% service fee. We added another 10% to it.
