I mailed my hard disk to NDR and received feedback on the same day the disk was delivered, they explained in detail what was the problem, how they were going to fix it, and the approx. success rate. After data was recovered I received a list of all the files and was given the choice of using either DVD or a new external HD to store the files. Since I have very few files to recover, they were nice enough to waive the shipping fee! This disk had stopped working for over a year and I've been struggling whether it's worth it to spend a fortune to recover just the few files I really need. There was a reason they were so cheap, they just took my money and didn't fox or recover anything. This is a stressful experience and I contacted over a half dozen service companies. My desire was to find a company that did the recovery in Miami - at the most reasonable price possible. Unfortunately, the industry is so competitive that the vendors will misrepresent their operations in order to get the business. Further, reviews on the internet are few and often from competitors. In the end, after much reflection, I selected Data Recovery Center, formerly known as CompuRecovery. They have a drop-off location in a Regus office suite in Brickell where they indicated that they have a clean room in which to open the hard drive and recover the data. I dropped it off at 3 pm on a Tuesday and had a lab report waiting for me when I returned to my office. Originally, the sales rep, Alex, indicated that they could possibly complete the recovery by Friday. However, this timeline was extended due to a rush assignment that took priority. I received screen shots of the data that they could recover on the following Monday and picked up the data on a new hard drive the next day in the afternoon. A one week turnaround for a project that other companies indicated would take two was very acceptable. In the end, although I still am not sure the recovery was done in Miami, but it did not really matter: the data was successfully recovered at a price that was in the low end of the range of all of the services I contacted, the service was good and attentive and the recovery was completed in a timely basis. I am a satisfied customer and would recommend them.

Scheduled an appointment and did something that happens rarely in Miami, they were here on time! They worked efficiently and kept me in the loop at all time. I was actually missing a cable and they came by two weeks letter to install it without charging extra. They ran coax underground for about 40 feet, ran audio and coax along my pergola, connected outdoor speakers, mounted a 65 inch tv and connected everything to a Sonos connect amp. Did a custom install of the amp. These guys can do it all and at a very reasonable price.
