Not only is my hair cut astonishingly awesome (I look so good!), but Antonio is one of the coolest cats in town. I am not kidding when I say you will want to get your hair cut more often than normal just to hang out with him. I just moved to the area last year and feel super fortunate to have found the best barber in town. It is the most expensive haircut I have ever had, but damn it is worth it!

Melvin is very attentive to what kind of cut you want. He has steady hands when he shaves, too. The shop is clean and easy to access. I will say the place is lively - there is good music (in Spanish), with a lot of laughing and talking, like a proper neighborhood barbershop should be. I'm happy to have found this shop and look forward to my visits.

If I got a good haircut, then I'd definitely come back. The barber was nice and so was the general atmosphere. After the haircut, however, much to my dismay, I looked in the mirror and it was a disaster. Literally the worst haircut of my life. I left and drove straight to another barbershop. I showed the new barber my hair disaster and he cringed, it was so bad. I asked him to do what he could to repair the damage. Of course he had to cut my hair quite short to make up for the butcher job at Martin's. After he'd finished, he wouldn't even charge me for the second haircut. Lesson learned: if you've got straight hair, don't get it cut at a place that serves just black men, where they don't have experience cutting straight "white" hair. Stick with a barbershop that caters to your hair type. Maybe they give good haircuts for guys with black hair at Martin's. But they haven't a clue about straight hair.

My tips: set an appointment on the square app IOS, show up early because they might get you in early, make sure your hair clean, and just relax and vibe out. I almost fall asleep every time and i get a full treatment. Its Always music or a movie playing. Location is not far from WHEATON mall and theres decent parking. Based on reviews and photos I saw on instagram, I decided that the barber Ozzy was the right fit. I was not disappointed. Upon entering, the shop was clean and very well decorated. It had a great color scheme and the music they played was great. The other barbers were in the zone taking care of their customers. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment but exactly at 6 my son was already on the chair. I showed Ozzy the way I wanted my sons hair to be done and he went to work. Ozzy took his time to perfect the look. As time went on, the smile on my son's face radiated. I could see him looking at himself through all the mirrors and his confidence skyrocketed. My son gave me a thumbs up multiple times throughout his time on the chair. Ozzy let my son pick out a bag of chips at the end which I thought was super nice! I could see that my son was comfortable. Very COVID-safe; Tony took extra care to follow all of the rules, including disinfectant, masking and everything one would expect. (& full disclosure--I waited till both my shots kicked in before going back to him.) Been going to Tony for many, many years, and am grateful for the best haircut in town at the best price.... Since so may of us are working from home, presenting the best possible Zoom-appearance is important, and Tony's contribution to that is no small matter. As previous reviews have noted, just let him roll with his thoughts on the world--I'll take 30 minutes of that over the blathering talking heads on cable anytime. (Hey, this is DC; wouldn't surprise me if some of those gasbags get their material from Tony anyway).
