So typically we review food and talk about customer service but I was thinking we'd bring up a…read moredifferent topic. Lettuce talk HAIRCARE this review; shall we. We'll start by asking ourselves what is hair? Textbook definition states that hair is any of the fine "threadlike" strands growing from the skin of humans, mammals, and some other animals. Pero let's stick with hair growing from the skin of humans. Ever think to yourself what causes unhealthy hair? Well, five common causes of unhealthy hair are styling, over-brushing, lack of nutrition, stress, and irregular haircuts. That last one really hit a nerve for me so let's dive right in! Cutting your hair more often doesn't necessarily make your hair grow faster: getting rid of the ends of your hair doesn't directly effect hair growth. Instead, the follicles in your scalp determine how fast and how much your hair grows. Trimming simply keeps hair more healthy as it grows. With that being said, Yelp community allow me to introduce KD Cuts Barbershop; Detail Specialist Licensed Barber and Owner Kordell H.! This professional barber has a passion for HAIRCARE! He understands styling, brushing, nutrition, habits, and HAIRCUTS! Located 1600 Maryland Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002 opened 10am-8pm Monday-Friday, 9am-7pm on Saturday, and closed on Sunday. Fairly close to a lovely bike park; the space is wheelchair accessible and offers FREE WiFi! The space is uniquely designed with hidden storage and multi-functional furniture giving the shop such great depth. Not to mention the absolute best professional barber service I've ever seen! Owner and Detail Specialist Kordell H. definitely shows up and shows out! Okay, so let's say I've convinced you all that KD is an absolute genius when it comes to haircare ... but you can't make it to Washington D.C.; no worries! KD Cuts offers travel and wedding services too! So that Presidential "On the Go" cut can to be yours! Or better yet, treatment! Try that Hot Towel Treatment or Hair Fiber Enhancement! I've encountered this type of stylist before where if you don't give explicit instructions they will NOT ask any questions. these type of lazy barbers don't understand that they are altering something everyone will see when they look at your face and it is irreversible until your hair grows back. a good hair stylist puts time and consideration into making their client look and FEEL THEIR BEST. it was also ridiculously expensive and if she had an ounce of training or taste then she must not have cared about making me look good at all. anyone with a basic (let alone "professional") understanding of hair can see that she did a truly abhorrent job here.
