So I booked a night to stay over on our way to Charlevoix. The Good: certainly that breakfast earns its reputation. It's conventional but really good, as is the coffee. Service in the cafe also quite good. The Bad: bedbugs. Found in the bedsheets. I get the feeling the staff knows they have a problem because when we brought it up they were indifferent to it. Did not make for a good nights sleep. The Other: scenery around the hotel is pretty nice, quiet and peaceful. Parking is street parking.

Felix was the name of the young man at the shop who provided a history of the area. They also have a restaurant and accommodations at this family owned business. This store was on the small side but it offered many different Belgian-style chocolate products, including bars, truffles, pralines, hot chocolate mixes, and just about every other type of chocolate you can imagine. They also have a bakery. There is a sample tray that lets you try their milk chocolate, 50% dark chocolate, and 70% dark chocolate. We liked the taste of their chocolate and ended up buying a bag full. I bought a 70% dark chocolate bar and a milk chocolate bar. The dark chocolate and lavender caramel bar my wife bought was especially delicious. The lavender came from the Blue Lavande lavender farm in Stanstead. This is a great place to stop and buy chocolate before you head to Mt Orford for outdoor activities. We will definitely be back.
