Provigo would probably be slightly easier to navigate if I spoke or read any French.
Even though it took a little extra time to get acclimated to the Canadian brands, we managed to get all the food we needed for our few very relaxing and chilly days at an Airbnb in Magog.
The store itself was super clean, could not have been less busy, the carts were brand new, and there was more than enough of a selection of brands I recognized, as well as several I did not.
We didn't venture too far off course with what we ended up buying, and I even managed to get a carton of cold brew coffee, negating the 20 minute drive to the nearest place from our chalét for morning coffee. The pre-made sandwiches (our lunch today) were really good and the produce made for an excellent salad this evening.
Just about everything seemed generally normal, but there was one thing that struck me: the beer. As expected, there were a plethora of Canadian brands, but also a few imports I never knew existed, mainly Bud Light Apple and Bud Light Grapefruit. Hmmm...
If you're in Magog and need food for any reason, Provigo is the way to go, especially if you're craving some Bud Light Apple for happy hour. read more
