I purchased a double glazed door manufactured by this company in 2009 and had it professionally installed and finished according to the instructions. Within a couple of months the seal on the double glazed unit of the window has broken down allowing condensation to build up inside the unit. This has of course also dramatically decreased the thermal insulation qualities. The seller has been most unhelpful in resolving the problem and have told me to deal with the manufacturer XL joinery. XL joinery has denied responsibility. Please do not use them or buy any of their products supplied through various outlets. My problem remains unresolved. Paid just shy of £1000 for oak internal bi-fold door. Turns out the system is poorly made, doesn't fit, looks appauling and is nothing more than a cheap set of wardrobe type doors. The doors and frame are oak veneer - not solid oak. Customer service is shocking and staff are clueless. PLEASE stay away from this company, and look for quality products and service instead. Have given one star because they would not let me leave it with zero, but wish there were negative stars!! read more

Bought a stable door from XL via Travis... Bought a stable door from XL via Travis Perkins. Fitted by a carpenter and painted immediately on fitting. Three days later the lock stile started to part from the frame,then the hinge stile stated to do the same. Only held together by a single corrugated dowel top and bottom on each door. We could see this as the frame had parted so much. Left a message with the rep, via TP, stating this doorway was the only entrance/exit from the property so was a danger to myself and my family as I could not guarantee to be able to ppen and close the door from one moment to the next. Three days later still no answer. Phone XL direct who refused to speak to me, to contact their rep or even give the rep my home number to ring me back. After giving them a blasting on tne phone a rep rang my builder within three working hours, arranged a visit on the Monday, as it was then a Friday, and now waiting for a visit. Appalling customer service, glacially slow rep, door only fit for firewood. Still have to arrange who will pay for a new door and fitting. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!!! After the rep visits and stressing again that this is the only entrance and exit to my property he says it will take 7-10 working days to even get an answer back from his managers. Although he can ask for this to be hastened he can do no more. Lets hope I did not have a fire in my property in that time eh? UPDATE: As expected XL Joinery and Travis... As expected XL Joinery and Travis Perkins have washed their hands of my dispute with them. As the UNDER EDGE of the door was not painted and because a cat flap was fitted in the lower door they have both said that any warranty is invalid. This is despite both the upper and lower door of the stable door coming apart. Also Stuart the manager at Travis Perkins Norwich is rude to my wife on the phone as well. I bought two very expensive sets of doors from these guys about two years ago and I have been complaining to them for 20 months about their shoddy product. The doors are splitting and the veneer is lifting even though they have been professionally coated twice since erection. Their customer care is negligible - they blame the merchant or the builder and when you try to negotiate they refer to themselves as only a door importer. This is now in the hands of my solicitor so please anyone considering new doors - go for quality instead. read more

Internal door obtained from this Company in a state of disrepair after six months. They blamed failing to paint behind the hinges and on top of the door for the delamination of the centre panel, which now has cracks that are opening up. Wouldn't touch them again with the proverbial bargepole. read more

We bought an External Oak M&T Suffolk door and door set all pre-hung, had to fit the handles but they did'nt fit, called them and after telling me numerous times that there system was 'perfect' and couldn't be wrong they finally agreed to come and have a look. He said he had never seen anything like it and had to drill new holes on site. We then realised there was a lot of draughts and called them again, they sent an inspector to look at it, it is 8mm out all down the lock side and are not prepared to do anything as they blame the joiner who fitted it even though the frame cannot be moved that much without breaking it and the door is bowed. Do not waste you're money, when you get you're door and it fails, you will be suprised at what they can blame and who other than themselves. read more
