Likewise, the person booking specifically asked to be in separate rooms, and she was told that was only possible if we went two at a time (our total party was four). There was no change in plans. However, once we got there we were in the same room. We did not mention it at that point because with having a male therapist we felt more comfortable being in the same room even if it felt like a couple's massage. Overall I had a great experience while there, which is why I gave an excellent 4 star reviews. However, I should share that before the owner replied to my review, I received a notification from Yelp that the owner flagged my review as being for the wrong place. I had a few days to respond to Yelp staff or my review was going to be removed. I responded in time, and the review stayed. As you can see the owner clearly knew us by name. I now wonder if the reason this business only has 5 star reviews (aside from mine) is because they try screening their reviews by falsely reporting them. Makes me wonder what else they may be hiding.

Given that I have significant back issues with stenosis, spondylolithiasis, disc degeneration, a sizable bone spur, and arthritis in the L1 and sacrum area, massage is a therapeutic modality that I require on a regular basis. My particular situation is somewhat dire in that most people would probably have capitulated and had surgical intervention. However, I don't see that in my future. Chiropractic ART, pharmacology, yoga, physical therapy, acupuncture, etc. are all arrows in my quiver that I use routinely. In addition I receive spinal injections every three months that cost $9000 per shot. Fortunately I have insurance. I was reluctant to try to get a massage here it as I don't have familiarity with local businesses nor have I heard any recommendations for who is good. Fortunately, I did make an appointment and had what can only be described as the best massage of my life!!! My masseuse was a delightful woman named Lulu. She is remarkable. She seems to have a keen understanding of physiology and an intuitive sense for those problem areas that plague me. Prior to my injury, I saw massage as an indulgence. Now it is a requirement. I have had countless massages since my injury in 2015, but none has ever approached the skill and insight that Lulu demonstrated. And compared to the cost of the spinal injections this seems almost a bargain. There is no way I can thank her enough. The relief I feel is nothing short of remarkable. Makes me wish I live in Roanoke!

Firstly, the massage therapist wore gloves, which was odd, and didn't feel too nice. Secondly, she didn't focus on my head and neck as asked. She mainly did my upper back, and worked out knots in between my shoulder blades, which was painful. I know it's tense, it always will be from my job... when I want a Swedish, please stop trying to do a deep tissue. It hurts and it leave feeling angry because I wanted to relax, not feel pain. She would do one technique on one arm and do something totally different on the other arm. For 5-10 min I was left alone in the room with my bare ass in the open while she tended to new customers coming in..the walls are paper thin & you can hear everything that's going on outside of your room. Once they're done with your massage you're wiped down with a cheap scratchy wet cum rag & told that you're finished. My boyfriend paid for our massages and she made sure to point that he adds a tip.
