You know what I despise about this place? Milford has like 20 or so Chinese places... (Yes - Huge exaggeration.) And Xing Wang is in Merrimack! The good news is they are on the way home from work for both myself and my wife so hence we have done this a few times. Hands down, Xing Wang is my go to Chinese food joint. I've been frequenting this family operated establishment for well over 6 years now and I have never been disappointed. Don't be fooled by the the humble look on the inside, they are anything but your typical 'Old dirty Chinese restaurant'! The menu is varied as much as it is delicious. My favorite dish is the sesame beef. Mmmn! The prices are just as fair too. (I have been eating food from here for so long that I've seen her daughter go from a child to a young lady. Good take-out location. I've been relying on Xing Wang over in Pennichuck Square more and more for my take-out needs. Prices are reasonable, and the food has always been good so far. They're also willing to make some modifications (add broccoli to plain lo mein, yum.), and they have the kind of egg rolls that I totally dig. On the inside, they have an open kitchen so you can keep tabs on what's happening with your food. They do have a number of tables, but the place is really really brightly lit and it doesn't really have a 'restaurant' vibe to it, more like a take out place with a few tables where you might sit down to grab a quick lunch. read more

We pass tons of restaurants and make the 20 minute trek out to Xing Wang because in my opinion its the best Chinese food around. Honestly, the crab rangoon that I get from here are the best. I've tried so many over the passed that I can say these are the best. The woman taking our order is so friendly and pleasant. They have plenty of combination plates and tons of menu items to choose from. There is always plenty of food when you get the plates. I've never been hungry after ordering from here. Everything tastes great. The fried rice itself is a little plain but a tiny bit of soy sauce and we're in business. I don't really enjoy pork fried rice but for a small fee I can substitute beef fried rice which I prefer better. I've always had a good experience and I will continue to drive out of my way for this food. read more

While the food is usually good, I have experienced two episodes of poor service and will not return. One night they claimed to not have received the online order I placed. The lady told me not to use online orders. I had to wait for them to prepare my order. There were a curious substitutions of beef for bbq pork that felt sneaky to me, as I didn't notice until I opened my order at home. Another time I walked in during their business hours, while the staff was working in the kitchen. I was the only customer there and stood for several minutes at the counter. They looked up at me but never acknowledged me and did not come over to take my order. I walked out and went to lunch at the Asian restaurant across the street. I have not returned. read more

Not much to look at inside, but the food more than makes up for it. Had a beef and mushroom dish, the beef was succulent, not at all chewy, the sauce light and tasty, not salty. No nasty MSG headache afterward either. The steamed dumplings where very good, generously filled. After a long search for decent Chinese food in this area (cheap Chinese takeout, there are a few awesome More expensive spots) I found this place. Really great food, I've gotten takeout from here 15+ times and they've never messed up my order, and it's always ready when I get there. It's abnormally fresh for takeout and I've only had ONE issue with the food in all my times there (beef teriyaki on a stick was inedibly dry, has never happened since.) The building is small with just a few small tables, the majority of the business is takeout, but do not let this fool you. This place is clean, and quality is priority. This family run business really cares about their customers. We lived in Merrimack until 2009 and ate here every chance we got. I am not sure what kind of Kool-Aide Ol Ed from Boston was drinking, but Xing Wang is located in Merrimack not Nashua and the food is beyond Excellent it is impeccable! That's right I grew up in Boston and never had Chinese food this tasty. The house rice is to die for and generously loaded with shrimp, pork and chicken the flavor is so good I cannot describe it other than to say I salivate when thinking of it. My entire family and anyone we have sent here have stated the same. The sauces are out of this world good!!! They make the best ginger sauce and general gau sauce anywhere hands down. The owners are so friendly and accommodating, they will change things to your liking and really wish to please their customers. We moved North to the White Mountains and have yet to find a Chinese restaurant within 100 miles of us that is one tenth as good as Xing Wang. Every time we make a trip south( 135 miles) to see or family in Manchester, we drive the extra 14 miles round trip to get a huge bag of Xing Want to take home with us. We have even asked the owners to open a place up here. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG HERE!!! I've been there three times. The first time was average at best, but the food seemed somewhat fresh. However, the last two combination plates during lunch was stale.The pork fried rice had nothing in it (no pork to be seen) and the only difference from the steamed white rice was the extremely yellow color to it and fried grease. She openly microwaved the appetizer from an old tupperware sitting on the counter... The ingredients seemed old and I felt like I was eating leftovers from a couple of days past. read more

I've been here 3 times now since discovering it. The only thing that I haven't liked was the Mongolian beef. The quality of the meat was very poor. I'm not sure if it was a one time thing or not because when I ordered the crispy orange beef on a separate occassion it wasn't so bad. Maybe it was because of how it was cooked? I'm not sure what Kool-Aid the reviewers below are drinking, but the food here is tasteless. I ordered their Beef Chow Fun, Spicy Shrimp, and House Fried Rice tonight, only to be disappointed by food that lacks all semblance of flavor. Beef Chow Fun, when made correctly, is notable for its unique "grilled" taste - the kind you can't replicate at home no matter how hard you try. Unfortunately, Xing Wang's version ate like it was made with cheap house soy sauce, a common occurrence of bad Chinese takeout joints (think Wok Wok in Milford as well). Not bad but very bland. The same could be said for the other two dishes I ordered - edible, but not worth the price. In terms of this restaurant's good reviews, maybe local Nashuans really do like their food, as they haven't had the fortune of experiencing anything better. It is Nashua after all, and tastes here are less refined than normal. So let me inject an asterisk, I'll give this place 4 stars on the Nashua scale and 1 star in general. Try a half-decent takeout in the city and it'll put this to shame. read more

One of the best places around by far. Don't be fooled by the small building, and fast service. The food is of excellent equality. The location is perfect to get through the Nashua, and out just as quick as I so often do. The service is excellent with polite owners, and although the food is always served fast and hot. Ok, after eating regularly from the other Chinese place near Shaws, I have to say, my daughter & I are hooked on Xing Wang. It's our favorite in the area now. Hands down, their Chicken Lo Mein is the best in the area. We always order it spicy, and they definitely make it spicy (just how we like it!). My wife and I have frequented this little gem for years and we still make special trips to this restaurant, even though we live about 30 minutes away now. The food is all done well and the kitchen is just off the small dining area. So, I often see them preparing the food by hand. My wife loves the hand made egg roles. This is truly a family run restaurant as you will often see the entire family involved in the food preparation process on a busy day, like new years eve. How did I miss this great place. I've been Driving past this place for years and never new this place existed. The food is well priced and the portions are reasonably large. I found to the food to be very good for ht style of restaurant though the Beef Teriyaki was a bit overly sweet. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The Restaurant is primarily set up as a take out location but there are a half dozen tables to eat on site. The tables only fit 4 so this is not a good option for a group. The location is wheelchair accessible but use the second entrance in the back along Continental Blvd. The entrance in the front has large step to get in. Well worth your time. read more
