Myself, my best friend, and my boyfriend (3 total people) ordered takeout from Wok Wok. Compared to the other (better tasting, quality, service) Chinese/Japanese restaurants in the area, we opted for Wok Wok, due to the proximity- we never tried Wok Wok before. We ordered 3 entrees (fried rice, lo mein, tso's), and dumplings- a very standard order, usually about $50 max, with WAY larger portions than the teeny tiny morsels of mediocre cuisine we received... SEVENTY DOLLARS. The rice that came with the general Tso's chicken was reminiscent of an American girl doll accessory. The vegetables all tasted like they were microwaved for like 7 minutes, and fried around in soy sauce for 10 seconds. Sack-like dumplings. The side of soy sauce was $1.00. If you are thinking about going to Wok Wok, do not. I recommend you go to Sake House, Lilac Blossom, or even Golden Palace instead. All within proximity, and will not make you feel as angry/scammed upon consumption and payment. read more

Food was about what I expected, just average, but I really can't complain for the price. The staff was very polite and friendly. I only had one problem with this restaurant. WHY IS IT SO HOT IN THERE? I ate inside, and about half way through my meal I was sweating so bad that I decided to go outside and eat in my car. That's why I felt the need to leave this review lol. Ordered two take out dinners on Superbowl Sunday, was only given one condiment for two dinners, went back to restaurant to ask for another one and the woman behind the counter refused to give me the same size as in the order. The atmosphere is a typical strip plaza Chinese takeout place with an order counter, open kitchen and a spacious dining area with several real estate and apartment finder guides for reading pleasure. They offer the standard Chinese dishes, chef's specials and 20 combination platters ($5.75 lunch/$8.55 dinner after 3PM). I got the Lunch Combo 11: Shrimp Lo Mein with Pork Fried Rice & 2 Chicken Teriyaki sticks. The food was ready in under 10 minutes, served very hot. All of the food was pretty tasty. The chicken teriyakis were very tender and juicy. The pork fried rice(tan) had tender pork cubes, onions, and egg. The shrimp lo mein had tender soft shrimp with scallions, vegetables and firm noodles. I would definitely return here for quick and tasty Chinese food, but only for lunch since the prices for dinner combos are almost 50 percent more. read more

Stay far away from this place.. Placed order and get home to find some pieces missing. Call and speak to a gentlemen that tells me I never ordered it and was charged correctly. After back and forth, another person gets on the phone and admits the mistake. After back and forth and refusing to credit (sorry, not driving round trip 40minutes for your replacement), I was hung up on. About 20 minutes later, they call back and I assume they've calmed down, realized the mistake and want to correct. Instead, it's blamed on me for speaking to fast and not being willing to come back in to fix it. Then I get hung up on again... I have tried the Wok Wok in the past, but only ordered the combination plates. I thought the portions were small for the price and went to another establishment down the street. I have since returned and have been ordering their individual orders. Though more expensive, the individual orders are way better and you get a lot more, so it's not uncommon for an order of beef teriyaki and large beef fried rice to be two meals for me. Thier boneless spareribs are not fatty, have a great taste, and their chicken fingers are big and not greasy. The food is very fresh and well prepared. The food is very good. The best part though is that from the counter you can see the entire gleaming clean kitchen. You can watch your food be prepared. Wokwok is currently a take out Chineese restaurant located in the strip mall nearest rts 101 and 101A. As is often the case, some of the best food can be found in strip mall hole in the wall establishments. The owners take great pride in their food. You're able to view the impeccably clean kitchen from the ordering/ pick up counter. I've tried many of their luncheon offerings as well as their Szechuan lo mein. Never have I been disappointed ! A very pleasantly surprising dinner! While living in the area for the last three years, we have not tried this place...and that is a shame! Wifey asked for Chinese, which was a surprise...and we had a menu for this place...so, I said "what the heck"...and wow... Wifey had the Chicken Chow Mein with Pork Fried Rice and Beef Teriyaki (for $8.99!). She enjoyed every bit of it...and she had been sick with no appetite! Gobbled it down and was looking for more. I tried the Fried Rice...and found it to be pretty good. The Beef Teriyaki was VERY good... I had Sesame Chicken with Beef Lo Mein and Egg Roll. The Egg Roll was very tasty, and the Duck Sauce, while thin, was not too sweet. The same can be said for the Sesame Chicken...the sauce was not too thick...nor too sweet, as it is in most places. The sesame flavor actually was evident! But the Beef Lo Mein was superb! Given the chance to eat here again, I will be ordering JUST Beef Lo Mein (well, maybe an Eggroll). Very good place! Wok Wok is the place we go to for Chinese in the area. We have been at least 6 times and the food is always consistent. A few things we have tried from their menu is the Lo Mein with chicken and also with shrimp. They give such a large portion for dinner that my girls can share on and each get seconds or lunch for the next day. I have tried the lo mein as well and it is good. We have also tried Gen Tso's chicken and Garlic and beef sauce, and a few others.Another great thing is they deliver to my house! The staff has always been very nice and fast. I never get chinese while in the area because my favorite Mexican place, Mi Jaliscos, is right next door. Last night we decided to stop by for a small meal just to try it out. We got two small hot and sour soups and an appetizer combo. The app combo had boneless spare ribs, crab rangoons, chicken teriyaki, and a side of fried rice. The boneless spare ribs were great, almost no fat and had good flavor. The chicken teriyaki was also good, small but not overcooked or anything. The hot and sour soup was not very good and a small was pretty big for one person. And finally...the crab rangoons...they were mostly wonton and no filling (highly disappointed). But who am I kidding....this place is basically the same as every other Chinese place around me. Just....OK. read more

Seems like very few months I have to stop back here to remind myself how bad the food and service is. The place is always dead, I don't know how they stay in business. But when I'm in the mood for Chinese, there aren't many options in the area. I ordered a combo dinner and a soda and it was almost $13. That would be OK if the food was decent, but it's not. The fried rice was dried out and tasteless. The chicken fingers each had about 1/10 oz of meat covered with a half inch of breading. The boneless spareribs were so thin and covered with so much sticky sauce they were nearly indistinguishable as meat. And the crab Rangoon each had about a teaspoon of filling. Oh, and even though I told them I was eating in, they packaged it to go and glared at me when I had to return to the counter to ask for utensils. I guess the tables and chairs in their gigantic empty dining room are there for looks. I'm going to venture a guess that the entire meal cost them less than a dollar to make. I don't know why "restaurants" like this don't realize that the money they save in screwing customers over results in a huge loss of business. read more

We have been ordering from wok wok for 8 years. It used to be phenomenal. Over the years the quality has gone done significantly. The beef teriyaki has gotten smaller in size and is like leather. The rice has a tough texture as if it has been reheated. This last time we ordered a beef and veggies dish. It has almost no beef and a very distinct chemical taste to it. The last 3 times we have ordered take out they forgot something for the order. When you call them to inquire they seem like they are put off by your request. The 5 dollar delivery charge not including tip is over the top. I know it is the only place in Milford that delivers but you are better off with one of the several pick up places. read more

The food has always been so-so. I get pickup from there because it's close by. They almost always get the order wrong. They never put too much food in. They are always short. One time, I opened the take out bag in front of them. One of the cooks ran to the counter and said, "Oh sorry, we forgot the chicken wings". I am done with this place. I'm not loving Wok Wok as much as I used to. I don't know if my tastes have changed but the food seems to be going downhill a bit. It's just not as fresh and flavorful as it used to be. The last few times I got the hot and sour soup it was really thick (almost gelatinous) and bland. Also more expensive in the last few years... $27 to takeout 2 dinners and 2 small soups seems like a lot for chinese. The egg rolls might have REALLY been made out of cardboard and the chicken teriaki was like chewing leather. BTW none of this was re-heated at home. We live 5- minutes from the restaurant. This is a take out place but it has a lot more room than most such with nine tables for four with room to spare. Clean. I like the general's chicken but it rarely comes with enough vegetables for me (broccoli). Over the order counter was a picture of the dish with the chicken surrounded by broccoli so I went for that. I asked for tea and was pointed to a plastic gadget that dispensed warm water -- good drinking temperature but not good brewing temperature. The food arrived very quickly in a foam carton. No broccoli at all! Otherwise everything was OK -- nothing special. It's an option if you are shopping in Lorden Plaza but I don't think it's worth making a trip here to dine in. Honestly, every business makes mistakes. Wok Wok is definitely not the first restaurant. I think the restaurant is great, friendly people, clean kitchen.
