We hired Formosa for an underground service upgrade from 100A to 200A. Before I made my payment, PG&E had already explicitly notified Formosa via email and provided an official design sketch detailing that a new utility pole would need to be installed in my backyard. Unbelievably, Formosa NEVER communicated this major change or showed me the PG&E design plan. I only found out when PG&E's construction trucks literally pulled up to my house ready to plant a utility pole in my backyard! I had no choice but to immediately cancel the entire project, resulting in thousands of dollars in non-refundable losses. Had Formosa simply passed on PG&E's notification when they received it, I would have stopped the project right then and avoided this massive financial loss. When I confronted them, Formosa claimed PG&E never informed them. However, I spoke directly with the PG&E Project Manager, who confirmed on the phone that Formosa was explicitly notified prior to my payment. When I asked Formosa to share their email correspondence with PG&E to prove their claim, they repeatedly refused. Their refusal to provide transparency speaks volumes. Furthermore, I only learned after switching to a new contractor that legitimate PG&E projects should be linked directly to the homeowner's PG&E account. Formosa never added this project to my PG&E account, intentionally or negligently keeping me completely in the dark regarding the project's true details and progress. He first came out to provide the estimate, and after an initial option didn't quite meet our needs, he came back and installed an outdoor motion-sensor LED security light that works perfectly for what we wanted. The new light is impressively bright--even during the daytime while Ken was installing and testing it, we could immediately tell how much light it puts out! The motion sensor and light intensity work very well for our needs. What impressed us most was Ken's attention to detail. Before choosing a company, I compared several TV mounting businesses on both Yelp and Google. I ultimately decided on Bay Area Wall Mounts because of their established reviews and the photos of their previous work, and I'm glad I did. Ismat installed our 65" LG C6 TV along with an LG S95TR soundbar above our fireplace and mantel. I was initially unsure whether the fireplace and mantel would make the installation more difficult, but he handled it without any issues and made sure everything was centered, level, and positioned properly. One of the biggest things I wanted was a clean installation with no visible cords. They were able to create a power bridge system that concealed the wiring and routed everything to a nearby outlet. They also left us with additional connectivity so we can add two more HDMI devices in the future. The finished setup looks very clean and professional. The price was fair, although perhaps a little on the higher side compared with some options I looked at.
