I spent 140 mins on phone trying to get them to fix sending me a broke phone for my replacement. If I could I would be gone. I went into the store because I had been texting with an agent the night before and couldn't get a resolution so figured it would be easier face to face with a person. It says XFINITY Store but it's also COMCAST. The store itself is most pleasant in eye-appealing décor and well arranged for business even with Covid-19 self-distancing. The big problem is that it can really become too busy with hour-long waiting times. And what is Xfinity and what is Comcast can really become confusing. Fortunately, the staff seems very knowledgeable, polite, and helpful even under stressful circumstances. Even though located near a Trader Joe's there always seems to be ample nearby parking. It is very sad that when I call customer service I can never speak with anybody from the store or this country even. There is a very big language barrier and when you go inside the store they are quick to tell you " you have to speak with customer about that issue". Avoid having to go to this location. The service is painfully slow. I've had to stop in twice recently for issues establishing new internet service and picking up the modem box. For every customer signing-in for service, there is a customer leaving that can't wait any longer. The shopping plaza eliminated parking to cram in more businesses. The plaza's anchor stores are Nordstrom Rack and Trader Joe's. Problem is, there's always a line of cars waiting to exit. The lines are long and block available parking. Therefore, it's very difficult to get in and out of the one exit. My lesson learned is to just pay Xfinity/Comcast the fee to have a technician come to your home and deliver the modem and test the activation. I had no clue what to expect when I walked into this store other than I was really prepared to wait a long time and probably be told something I didn't want to hear. But my expectations were blown kind of out of the door based on my experience here. The inside is like a Google Store and an Apple Store lovechild- tv's everywhere. Accessories and whatnot all around. They give popcorn out. I don't know where, but I saw it all over the floor and seats. You're greeted by a receptionist who asks you about your issue and puts you then in a queue. Then you wait. I think I waited maybe 15 but no more than 20 minutes before I was called. There were maybe 6 or so people ahead of me. Once you're called you're taken over to a station where an agent pulls up your account and helps you (hopefully) with your issue. I needed to pick up a Gateway because the one I purchased wasn't working with the Comcast signal which is kind of BS because now I have to pay $13 a month when I could have paid outright for something of my own, but that's for another time. Anyway, I was able to get the Gateway, he explained how to install it and what to do to keep my internet strong and fast and I was on my way. I will say I probably waited more than I was being helped, but I got what I needed and everything now is working so I'm happy about that. Comcast is like making a deal with the devil, we all know this, but in my experience, at least the devil seems to want to help. read more

My phone had a virus. I went in on Thursday evening, Desiree had not time for me, she was leaving even though the store closed 30 minutes later. Another lady helped me. She did great, I messed up as I had the wrong password. Friday I went back, I was directed to speak with Mike, he looked at my phone for less then 2 minutes. He said he could not do anything, he directed me to the Geek Squad. I asked Mike why that lady who was working the receptionist desk had it resolved the night before. On Friday I had the correct password. He then started to pay attention. What was so annoying is that while he was supposedly helping me, he was playing with his phone answering personal text messages. I do appreciate the assistance, but he wanted to blow me off by sending me to GG he Geek Squad, just get this guy out the door. I appreciate the fact that my phone works, he helped me because he knew his co-worker nearly resolved my phone issues the night before. My internet has been going in out for a week and a half. Their IVR phone system wont allow you to talk to a real person unless you select the option to "Sign up as a new account". I've tried every option to follow the rules. Its apparent they have set up their IVR system to deflect and discourage as much "Problems" as possible. This part is the real kicker. I'm calling on a Friday, they cant get a tech to me to Thursday. How there Operational Management can fathom running a service level 5 1/2 days out is unacceptable service. In the middle of a work from home environment in 2020/202, that service level in any industry is a dereliction of duty from every operations manager in the company. Their stock holders I'm sure will be thrilled with this level of service. I never thought I'd say this but I'd take ATT over Comcast service any day of the week....and lets face it. Called to set up internet on Monday, earliest appointment available was on Thursday, the technician came and wasn't able to connect, had to wait until Saturday. The technician actually tried to break into the circuit room of my apartment with some screw drivers because it was locked. He tried to get me to help him commit this crime! Comcast is a 0/5 star company that will do anything to save money (hiring incompetent, criminal independent contractors) at the cost of their customers. My husband and I went to the COMCAST Xfinity store on Federal Hwy in Fort Lauderdale and met the most charming and helpful customer service person we have ever met. Her name is Latonya Jones, and she made the experience so pleasant and so hassle free we thought we were on a different planet. We wanted to get rid of out T.V and phone service and just keep the internet as we had been using a streaming device for months. She told us exactly what we would need without any high-pressure sales talk and trying to get us to pay more than what we needed. She also informed us that 2 cell phones would come with this deal, and they would be delivered on Monday, we saw here on a Thursday. She told us to bring the new phones and the old phones to her and she would take care of everything. She transferred our numbers, our contacts, our pictures and explained how the phones worked. Ms. Latonya Jones, we award you the best customer service person we have ever met in our lives, we would recommend Xfinity but tell people to make sure they go to 1550 N. Have had several good experiences at the Fort Lauderdale Xfinity store on Federal Highway. I have found the staff to be pleasant, know how to solve problems and get you in and out quickly. On my recent visit I was seen by a representative in 1 minute for an exchange of old equipment for new. In general, I have found this stores representatives to be responsive to my questions and able to get me the right answer often by taking the time to involve others. For me, the willingness of representatives, to spend time explaining equipment options and plans is essential. Kudos to Manager Shona Bryant and her team. read more

Great service only waited 10 minutes to talk to someone about my bill and after expressing concerns about my bill being higher than it should be she was able to fix my account and credit me the difference and was able to make me leave happy after coming into the store angry definitely not like the only comcast stores with rude staff. read more

Recently switched from AT&T internet and DirectTV to Xfinity bundle for internet and TV. Service went from bad to worse. DirectTV satellite did not work whenever it rained. I live in South Florida, so that was a serious problem. Xfinity TV and internet continuously "cut out" so watching TV live is almost impossible, and having skype conversations on computer is an exercise in frustration. Xfinity app assistant is totally worthless, no matter what I ask it just returns with "request did not go through". Had several technicians come out. They had me increase internet speed and add Xfi pods, at my expense. Did not solve anything. Suggest you avoid Xfinity, it just does not work. read more

1 star is too much! A employee with the name of GERMAN is the one that was selected to help me but unfortunately he did Not! He was very rude and told me "I have the authority to tell you NO! So that is it, no you can not pick up the equipment. (he could see my name on the old account number, he could see we moved and for some reason they did not transfer service (instead they opened a new account for us), he could see I called for installation, he could even see my phone number on the account... but he would not help) We moved to a new address & for some reason the person on the phone who helped me set this up ended up opening a new account number at the new address, all new equipment was sent except the modem, I called and they told me I could pick it up at any store, come to find out I wasn't "properly" added to the new account (but I was added in the old account which still has service for another week and the guy German could see my I do there, but he told me in a very rude way he would not give me the equipment I needed today. He said Flat out NO. Way to go German, way to be a customer service representative, trying not to help a customer is not what you were hired for. Positive helpful attitude is what you need German, hope you have a better day and are willing to help the next customer :) read more

While in the process of moving, I followed all the procedures for disconnecting properly. I took all devices to the new place and scheduled an appointment for Comcast to reconnect. On the scheduled day, I called to inquire about their ETA. They explained that they had NO record of my confirmation at all even after emailing confirmation! I was mortified because I had a lot of work to do online. They rescheduled and said that NO $70.00 reconnect fee would be charged since THEY had "dropped the ball." After a month, they NEVER adjusted the fee and still BILLED me. One more thing, on the rescheduled day, Comcast called me and said they'd arrive earlier than thought, so I took off work early to meet them. When I arrived home within 10 minutes, they STILL didn't show. Instead, they arrived an hour and half later...Although I understand "sh@t!" happens, they have lost my trust.
