The last kicker is that even though I have been a customer for 20+ years, they won't put a forward on my email account when I quit. Costs them nothing but they say screw you.

Now, within a 1/2 mile of 2 signal towers and the effect is the same. We pay for 10mbps and rarely exceed 1.5mbps and typically less than 1, last time I checked it was 73kbps. Their tech support, whilst happy to try and help, doesn't really fix the problem. All they suggest is to move the modem, which we've done and it's currently in the best location for signal strength and outside of toddler reach.
