Give 1 star to Xfinity service. If this location only, 3 star. I've been this location several times. Some staffs are knowledgeable and helpful but others are not. My experiences One: last year, I came to this location and complained the internet speed is slow. The bandwidth I'm paying for is "up to 60Mbs", but the fact is for days I conducted speed test, never above 10Mbps. I told a staff about this. Obviously she does not want to solve my problem. She taught me I'm using my own modem and router, my own devices could be the reason which are out of their control. My devices are likely to be unreliable. The fact is I myself is an IT-related guy working in a university, funny hrrr??? Xfinity wants customer to buy or rent their modem or router so they have reasons to ask customers to pay more. Then the agent said if I'm not satisfy with the speed, I can buy a boost package for only ****dollars blablabla.... F**k, what's the logic? If it's problem of my devices, buying a boost package would solve the problem? And, I'm complaining about using the "10Mbps or below" but paying for "up to 60Mbps" bandwidth. The agent shifted the focus. Smart, very good at marketing. Ok, "up to 60Mbps" includes 0Mbps, 10Mbps, or 20Mbps, why not tell the truth to customers? Why not tell me it's actually up to 10Mbps? I'm angry about the service and refused to buy any boost package. The staff give me a suggestion, if you need technical support, please call this phone number ***** (I said yes but could not help to laugh. I have been working with computer or surrounded devices since 2008.) You see, what they want is you pay more money.
My experience two: my one-year contract ended and I contacted an Xfinity agent to cancel all internet service, on the day it expires, effect on 08/05/2020, so I won't be charged for a new billing circle. On 08/14/2020 when I logged into my account and found they do charge me for a new billing circle. I contacted Xfinity again and I was told my internet cancellation is still in pending. F**k! You see!! That's how they do the job. The agent said the cancellation is now in effect. They will adjust my bills, I do not need to pay the amount shown in my account. Sounds good. A week later I logged in my account again and found that the bill does not change. I have to be patient, I said to myself. I contacted an agent, asking why the bill is not corrected? I was told they actually adjusted my bill from ~$63 to ~$8. I still have to pay for $8. Why? They explained it is because blablabla.... Come on! It seems they do not understand that any fees generated after 08/05/2020 make nonsense! It is Xfinity agent that ignored my cancellation request. They still ask me to pay the fees due to some issues in the new billing circle. That's completely ridiculous. I thought it might be helpful if I talk to them face to face, at the risk of COVID19. So I visited this location. Unfortunately, a staff almost repeated what I was told by their on-line agent. She explained to me that the ~$8 fee is because blablabla.... , I said the fee is generated because of the carelessness of Xfinity staffs. It should not be my responsibility. But She answered she can only see what she see, she does not have any idea about my cancellation even if I keep the cancellation order number. Hey, everyone, what can I say? I surrendered and paid the ~$8 at the location. I returned home and logged into my account, and found that, the ~$8 is in processing, and the account charged me another fee ~$55, which is $63 minus $8, due to the auto-pay setting of my account.... Should I contact an agent again? I lost myself in their services. Paying what they ask to pay may be the decent worry-free job at the moment. read more
