After hours isctext assistance only which takes about 2 hours to explain to service representative. They contract these jobs out to India and all you will get is a monotone apology and the apology doesn't help. They cannot think how can I help. Equipment was shipped to my son's address 1,000 miles away from me which wouldn't have helped me anyways. I neededed an engineer to come out as service was constantly dropping, but when the service man came, it worked fine. So when my son shipped back the extra equipment to Verizon they assumed it was my old equipment and thus turned off my wifi/modem and activated the returned modem that's stored in their mail room. Can you follow this story? Because they couldn't. A day or two later, after some one understood the problem and we canceled our service, they called and apologized. If I could give this company a negative 20 I promise I would. From the lousy customer service over the phone to the terrible service in person. They do not help with no problem what so ever and coming from a healthcare professional who needs their phone this company is not the way to go. Talked to Kaelyn, who sped through everything without me or my father's consent, signed him up for a plan that wasn't what he wanted, thought he could get us in and out and on to the next guy, lied and said "The deals change every day", lied about the phone i wanted being on back order, and generally had a condecending attitude about anything I had questions on. He even tried to tell me I couldn't trade in a phone that was on verizon's approved list to get a $700 credit on a new phone. which was the primary reason I came in in the first place. Verizon, you suck but that's not the reason i'm leaving the review. Your guy in here is straight up lying and deceiving customers, probably to get his metrics up. read more

We have had a business account with Verizon for 13 years (minimum ) recently having to visit the Allen park Verizon location. We have decided to cancel all Verizon services. Although we understand this store is located in a county {Wayne) with a 46% illiteracy rate . We found the so called "manager" appeared to be a functioning illiterate, unaware of product services, racist in tone and unprofessional at best. read more

I decided to drive out of the way to visit this Verizon store to get my new phone. I've been with Verizon for about fifteen years and do most of my business online with them but enjoy working with someone when switching to a new phone. I saw all the positive reviews about Adam and decided to trek out to this location to make my switch away from an IPhone. But I got Kyle, who seemed very fresh out of high school and obviously lacked retail experience but I was hopeful that I would be treated with kindness. Instead I barely got treated like a human. Every question I had was completely shot down, my apprehension to being upsold was met with anger and even worse, disinterest. I was treated like a dunce for not wanting to spend 45 on a case (12.00 on Amazon, baybee.) I was fine with paying the price I was paying (I came in to get a new phone, I knew it wasn't cheap) but I work retail and have learned to ask questions. Frankly, I'm embarrassed by how green this guy is. I would have spent more if I was treated with some compassion or at least, some eye contact. read more

Mailed me my phone call to activate and they lost all my info. Need another copy of my license seriously why did u send me the phone if your not gonna activate it. I got a new phone in October and wasn't ready to turn in my old phone. Shame on me, 9 months later I finally got around to it(granted the person that set up the new phone did not tell me of any time limits). The people I encountered at this store are not very ambitious. If the event doesn't result in a sale they are not very helpful. I found information much faster than what it took them to find. I found out what I needed to know much faster than they did. They didn't even suggest any resolutions.Guess we can throw out the window great customer service. I don't believe I will be visiting this location again. Guess I'll use the online method. I placed an order with this location ( Allen park , fairlane) Saturday evening. I was told I would receive an email stating when to pick up - and I have 72 hours (3 days) to come pick the order up . I arrive at the store with 30 hours to pick my order up after calling numerous times to speak with someone at this location ( never could get in contact with anyone)... once I arrived I gave my last name and told them I was there for pick up. About 10 mins later they come back out and ask me if my name was ( first name , last name) and I said yes... remind you, I never gave my first name! And then I was told they don't have an order for me and I need to contact customer service! Then another person told me they canceled my order because I didn't come get it with 48 hours and that wasn't stated when I placed my order online! Once I go back to my car I get an email and it states that the store canceled my order! I'm highly upset, I drove an hour away to get my phones and received nothing but terrible service and was lied to . Never again read more

Don't waste your time going to ANY other Verizon store, even if this one is a long drive. It's easy to find right off of the Southfield freeway up on "the hill." This store has always been well managed, and 100% customer focused. The employees are well trained, and know their stuff...meaning they won't have to stop and ask the boss every time you throw a question at them. I followed Jason to this store after he transferred from another location. He is a Verizon veteran, and I have never met anyone who not only knows the products and the business, but won't try to sell you something you don't need. It's so friggin HARD these days to find someone who treats customers this way!! Ask for him. Great store, easy to find, and great employees. Best Verizon anywhere. Chris read more

After opening a new account online and selecting in store pickup to this location, I had to fumble between the 1800 customer support for verizon as well as two trips to the store. Come to realize the last time i spoke to a representative on the phone she was honest enough and sympathetic to my case due to the face that these iphones were intended to be christmas gifts, she informed me that it looks like the manager at the store who promised me to initially "push my order through" actually cancelled my order, without my approval. So in the mean time i was called the fraud department and answered each and every one of their questions to take my account out of fraud status because apparently its a problem metro detroit is having. After successfully completing that task, i decided to go back to the store once again to see if they had any updates on their end. Upon arrival the gentleman who seemed to not in the mood to be working asked me for my name and did a fake type, and said i wasnt in the system no record of me. While i was on the phone with the honest representative she then informed me after i had walked out the store upset that i can see where the problem was, the manager of that store cancelled your order, i responded why on earth would a company whos making a 3,000 dollar sale in inventory and a two year contract sale have it cancelled and she honestly replied; they dont make any commission off online sales, and like to keep their stock for commission based sales. Now that i have found this out, i explained to her am i expected to know this as a consumer? My common sense told me its holiday season instead of driving around or calling store to store to verify inventory I should just order it online fill out the applications and pick up at my convenience. But the mere fact that some person can collect an order and have his employees lie to customers faces and still expect people to return is beyond me. I am going to write a formal letter to Verizon Corporate to have them set the ramifications this store deserves. I can now understand why this stores ratings are quite lower than read more

I went to this store to buy a phone through the Device Payment Program. The associate I talked to, lied to my face. He told me I would have to give up my unlimited data plan to do this, even though it was not the truth. I was told to keep my data plan I would have to pay the full price up front. He then tried to sell me on a different plan. Upon leaving the store I called Verizon on the phone and was told that's not true. I went directly to another Verizon store and was out in about an hour with my new phone on the DPP. Luckily for me there are honest people working for Verizon. This was not the first time I had a problem at this store. I've been disappointed by the associates here before e.g. not wanting to help me with a discount I should receive through my employer. read more
