I just have to say that I was impressed with the speed and efficiency of Cesar at the 185th & Cornell store. I am always concerned about renewal of contracts because I always assume it is going to be higher costs. I am on a fixed income and because of this Covid Virus I was surprised to find that Xfinity was open and I was able to speak to someone from the location, be it on the phone in my car, Cesar was very timely and found me a great promotion that actually was less than I was paying before with more channels and extra premium channels that I didnt have before. I got Xfinity home internet for $55mo (appx). It included a free "Flex Box". I liked it. So, I switched my mobile carrier from Verizon for $55mo (appx) to Xfinity for $75mo (appx) So, I switched my television service from Youtube TV for $65mo (appx) to Xfinity streaming for $220mo (appx) I reviewed my bill and found that I am being charged for equipment I do not have. I called the customer service line and was lost with AI for 45 minutes and gave up. I went to the Xfinity Store. When I switched to Xfinity/Comcast internet I was given a free "Flex Box" where I could watch all of my television channels and aps via internet wifi. I switched to Xfinity/Comcast and told the operator that to hardwire a cable box to my TV would require running cable around 3 windows and 2 doors and would not be approved by my landlord. The operator explained that Xfinity doesn't do installations like that and I would have to find a tradesman myself, that Xfinity "only provides service". After discussion, she told my that I didn't need a cable box but could get Xfinity TV through my free "Flex Box". She then went ahead and turned on my Silver Package. I am on auto-pay but checked the details on my payment and saw that I was being charged $9mo for a cable box that I don't have. Granted I am paying Xfinity/Comcast $3,540 annually (appx), Not paying an extra $108 annually (appx) for nothing would be nice and not unreasonable. Or so any sane person would believe. Not Xfinity. I went to the Xfinity by Comcast Branded Partner labeled store at 2124 SE 82nd Ave., Suite #500, Portland, Oregon 97226. I was rapidly approached by an agent obviously expecting a commission. His response "Yes, you have streaming tv so there is a $9 equipment fee for the cable box." I explained the problem with hard wiring a cable box in my rental apartment and the fact that the service worked fine with the free wireless box they had provided as directed by the sales agent. Again he flatly stated that "you have streaming tv so you have to have a cable box and there is a $9 equipment fee for the cable box." Again I explained that the service was working fine with the existing free box and he was joined by a female agent who said "I know. I can just give you a cable box so you have it, just don't install it." I told her that I don't want to rent something I don't need or use. To the giggles of the four other agents sitting at the next station in the empty store, the agent said "I know. It's policy and there's nothing we can do about it." I explained my issue exactly as above and finished it with. "Are you saying that Xfinity is willing to give up $300mo of $9mo for the rental of a piece of completely unnecessary and unprovided equipment?" Her response was "Yes, I can shut off your account right now, here." I pointed out how stupid that was and asked if there was a contact for the store's manager. It turns out he was with the surprisingly supportive group of agents and just said "there's nothing we can do about it" . I asked for his name and who owns the franchise and he didn't know either. I asked if there was a contact number for Comcast or Xfinity again he didn't know. Then he pointed to another man in the store and said "that is a Comcast manager". I approached him and he told me he had been listening. I asked for his card and he said he doesn't have cards. I asked who owns the franchise. He didn't know. I asked if there was a business license for the store that he could check for the franchise owner. He said "that all businesses have to have licenses" but couldn't find the franchise. He then said "Let me see your account. Maybe there is something I can do." He looked and told me that my account was "so basic" that there was no way he could adjust anything. I once again explained my issue exactly as above and pointed out the insanity of paying $9mo for unneeded and unprovided equipment and it is hard to believe that Xfinity want's to dismiss $300 per month over a $9 a month charge for equipment that is not used. BREAK UP THE MONOPOLY ALREADY! Everyone knows Xfinity is garbage because we allow them to be garbage. Do you know anyone who likes Xfinity? I don't. They've been loathed since they were Comcast and well before that. Notoriously inconsistent products, infamously shite customer service. Or infinitely shite. Either way. I recently contacted them because my basic-level internet was scraping below 1mbps download speed, which just isn't even remotely acceptable. Their representative tried to upsell me, then switched to convincing me to sign a year contract at which point they'd give me slightly better internet but I'd be trapped for twelve months. I gave in since THERE ARE NO OTHER OPTIONS (and no, I'm not willing to try CenturyLink again--they were the more garbagey option of the two garbage options, and somehow more villainous than Xfinity.) The resulting internet connection bounces between zero and, occasionally, for reasons I can't fathom, 30mbps. But the latter only happens maybe once every four days. Must be some sort of astrological thing. So yes, in short: the internet is unreliable, Xfinity sucks, and we need a damn government that will actually regulate these monsters for a change. The internet should be a public utility, but at the very least the stranglehold these very few companies have over our ability to work and communicate in the modern world should be broken. read more

I am more than disappointed in the response I have received from Xfinity. We moved and started new internet service. This went well and we were up and running immediately. When I called on 10-19 to have a tech come out to get us set up with basic cable that our park provides, I was told a tech would be here 10-20. We waited all day, no tech. When I called again, I spoke to someone in the Philippines who assured me that by 11:30pm on 10-21, someone would be at our home. Again, no tech. I called on 10-22 and was assured that someone would be out that day. It was Sunday, so I knew no one would be out. It is now 10-23, 4 days after my original call. The phone assistants tell me I am scheduled....the virtual assistant tells me they show no appointment is scheduled for me. I am unable to speak with anyone that knows anything. I wish our Park had another cable provider available. Apparently I will have to think about going with another company. Sad. read more

I face the same billing issue every 3 months with Xfinity. Every 3 months, it takes 2+ hours to get my issue resolved. 2 hours of my life, every 3 months for a year. I hate Xfinity and will be looking for services elsewhere pretty soon. Today's chat took 2 hours and 4-5 different people to finally fix my charges. The representatives kept repeating the same information, would transfer me mid conversation with no heads up, and when we discussed the charges I owed, everytime the amount of the charge would change. At first they said I owed $51.30 then they said I owed $76.30 then they said I owe $55.00. These different am were discussed in one chat log in one day. And the person that finally DID give me a credit on my account said they would give me a $46 credit then gave me a $44 credit and didn't fix it until I called them out. I had trouble getting to any actual people when calling customer service and when I reach a voicemail, nobody ever returns my calls. I tried to get my Cable Card to work on my Tivo. So I called Comcast and after 20 minutes I finally get some one. Then after thirty minutes I realize how clueless they are and have to call back again. Most of the people working there are unbelievably not trained. I talked to 5 People over five hours in one day and no one knew what to do. They all pretended to know but they were beyond Clueless. After five hours one girl got it working but it took about halve an hour. I have had Cable Cards hooked to TiVo's for years and I usually get a complete MOROON that has no idea on how to do it or what I'm talking about. So good luck solving any type of problem with Comcast. You will have to call back several times until you get some help. A Cable Card takes 5 minutes to initialize when I get the right person, not 5 hours. This is not the only time I have had problems with Comcast. Getting the wrong information taken off my account took over an hour, Phone number was wrong. Three people and 1 hour later and none of these Maroons got it fixed. EXTREMLY FRUSTRATING. read more

Terrible Customer Service: spent hours trying to get a live person, live person would not be helpful at all and send me to different people again and again, especially when i started asking for refund. June 27, 2021 Mr. Tom Karinshak Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Experience Officer Comcast / Xfinity Comcast Headquarters Comcast Center 1701 JFK Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19103 Dear Mr. Karinshak: On or about June 9, 2021 my wife's IPhone SE was severely damaged beyond repair, most probably run over by at least one vehicle on the road! Consequently, the same day we visited the Bridgeport Xfinity store located at 7219 SW Hazel Fern Rd, Tigard, OR 97224 to get a replacement. While at the store we were offered a new IPhone SE for $399.99 under Order Number XX_______XX. Since the phone was relatively new (~10 - 11 months old) we were told it was possible Apple might honor a replacement under their Apple Care program. We were advised, if Apple could provide a replacement we could simply come back to the store (within 14 days) and return it for a full refund. Since the Apple store was only blocks away, we took the new IPhone SE and went to Apple. Even with the severe damage, Apple was able obtain the serial number and confirm the phone was within the one-year Apple Care warranty period. We therefore purchased a new IPhone SE for $99.00. This is where things started to go south! Upon returning to the Xfinity store, and upon handing over the IPhone SE I had purchased not more than an hour ago, I asked for a receipt to prove I had in fact returned the unit. I was told this was not possible. The agent at the store called Customer Support and was advised there were issues on the "back end" and, while I had been immediately notified of the purchase via an email from Xfinity, and by checking my bank account noting the debit of $399.99, and a "return" email was not possible. I was told that even had there not been issues on the "back end", the store does not have a printer so I could not be provided proof of return. I therefore asked to speak to the Manager. After a short wait, I spoke to Mr. Brian Harman (Brian_Harman@comcast.com) the Assistant Manager. He reiterated what I had been told. I therefore asked Mr. Harman to acknowledge receipt of the IPhone SE by signing the back of his business card with the pertinent IPhone SE data (serial number etc.). He indicated he could not do this (or perhaps would not). Without any proof of returning the phone, and with the promise of Mr. Harman that he would work out the "back end" issues with Customer Service, I left the store with the phone in hand. Mr. Harman told me to return the next day after 12:00PM and he would have the necessary paperwork to allow me to return the phone. I returned to the store the following day, June 10, 2021, and met with Mr. Harman. He had in fact worked out the "back end" issues and advised I would be receiving a FedEx label allowing me to return the phone. This was the first time I was told I couldn't simply give the phone to the store in which I bought it! Now, I had to go to FedEx to ship it back to Xfinity. Mr. Harman kindly agreed to take care of the shipping for me and I therefore forwarded the shipping label to him. This was under RMA # X__________X. I was told I would see a refund of $399.99 within 3 - 5 business days of the return of the phone. This is where it goes further south!! On June 20, 2021 I received an email from Xfinity as a "Reminder to send back your device"! WHAT!? This is a full ten days since Mr. Harman told me he would personally get the phone to FedEx on my behalf! I forwarded the email to Mr. Harman, and received the following reply on June 23, 2021: I confirmed that the package has been sent as of yesterday. The pickup from fedex was delayed for some reason, I apologize that it did not send out right away. Delayed "for some reason"? It was not returned on June 10, 2021 as promised, but rather on June 22, 2021. The reason it was not returned as promised was negligence on Mr. Harman's part. I wish I had never agreed to have him "do me the favor of returning it on my behalf". I'd have been much better off, and $399.99 richer, had I done this myself. And even further south!!! Checking my bank account daily to see the $399.99 refund had still not been provided, I attempted a chat session with Xfinity "Customer Care" on June 23, 2021. While the agent was quite nice and kept assuring me she was doing all she could by escalating the matter to her supervisor...guess what? Nothing came of this ~ 60+ minute on-line chat session, even after stating: Thank you so much for allowing me the time, I would like to inform you that my supervisor has escalated your concern now and it will surely be taken care off (sic) (emphasis added) This letter is to officially and unequivocally record my extreme dissatisfaction with the terrible "Customer Service" (which I place in quotes as in no way, at no time, has the customer come first or service been provided). Poor reliability. I lose internet I'm Happy Valley 2-6 times a day for 30 minutes at a time on average but not limited to. If I'm really lucky it crashes for over 2 hours. So far tonight, including right now, I have lost my internet signal and service 6 times since 8:00pm. Xfinity has the WORST customer service and the WORST equipment. I signed a two year contract when I moved 7 months ago and the equipment hasalready failed. I could not talk to a human being for over 20 minutes and I still need to use my time to return their faulty equipment.
