This store has not been responsive with my xfinity accounts. We were initially misled and promised a credit yet the store manager and workers are overwhelmed and not organized, causing this accommodation to take nearly 2 months with me having to contact them or go into the store for a new/different update every time. It's a long story but I'll try to keep it short. I've been an Xfinity customer for many years and I've had HBO as part of my package. In the latter part of 2024 my HBO went out. I went to the local store in Hyde Park to inquire about the blackout and was told I never had HBO. I'd had it for years but they kept telling me to my face that I never did. Finally someone told me my package had changed. I asked why I'm paying the same and they told me my network package had increased in cost. Fast forward to today, I'd planned on canceling my network package and discovered my HBO had been included all along, and just needed a different sign in. Really angered, having paid for all these months and not knowing I had it. Over this year and a half I've paid a really good amount of money for what amounts to nothing as I rarely watched network - mainly for the news. read more

The internet is constantly down and they NEVER offer compensation for your lost sales, they only want to give you a $30.00 credit while you've lost hundreds of dollars IN SALES BECAUSE THEIR SERVICE SUCKS!!!! I tried to call and I tried to chat with an agent to cancel my service. Because I moved into a retirement community where they have wifi as part of their fee. So I will have to go to the store with my walker after I find a ride. Xfinity just trying to get more money from me an older adult on social security. read more

I had a GREAT experience at the 117th & Marshfield location. The staff were prompt and customer friendly when I picked up my new modem. However I had a HORRIBLE experience when dropping off my old modem later in the day at the Hyde Park location (1322 E 53rd St). There were literally 6 workers present and I was the ONLY customer. Everyone seemed to preoccupied to assist me. And no urgency to provide the appropriate service. I was shocked as I sat and waited wayyy to long for an empty store filled with workers to acknowledge me. Not surprised at the low YELP reviews from other customers. Not big on giving bad reviews to businesses so writing this review speaks volumes. read more

Have been twice with problems that the virtual help was completely useless for, both times they solved my issues incredibly quickly and were very kind. Mentioned this too a friend and they shared similar positive experiences. This last time I was assisted by Deja and she was kind and efficient. read more

I went in to start up free internet service through cps. The customer service rep told me how slow it would be and how they had a better plan for just $40 a month. Didn't explain anything about it being a certain time period or anything. Over the time my bill constantly increased and I continued to pay it. Now it has gotten out of hand. My bill is over $100 a month. I called to see an out t getting a lower plan as I can't afford to pay $100+ a month. The rep informed me I could receive a lower plan but would need to pay my past due balance first. Only to transfer me after I paid, to someone who stated there was nothing I could do. I am currently researching other companies for this to be my last month. read more

I guess I should say something about the fact comcast has a monopoly on my old building and they charge a premium for sub premium quality internet. But that doesn't reflect on the service workers working at their 53rd st location. Walked in to cancel my service and return my modem. Door host, friendly. Person that assisted me, friendly. He beeped my modem without even me realizing and addressed me by name. Canceling and return was one of the most painless ordeals I've had in a while. Thank you store location staff! Back in August, Xfinity warned us customers about potential outage due to their "upgrading" of their system. No problem there. EVER since their "upgrade' MY internet service (2 months now) has been going in and out roughly 75 - 100 times a day. Sometimes for a minute and a half, sometimes more. Total inexplicable. Talk to level 1 support, and they told me they'd send a tech guy out. I asked to have a tech guy call me, like maybe have a 5-minute conversation with them about my problem. NO GO. Xfinity won't/can 't do that?!!! So instead of me being able to understand the problem (likely need a new router) and talk to someone they'd rather have someone come out and inspect, even if there is a decent possibility that they won't resolve a problem. Hard to believe! Looking to change services after I write this. Good luck to you all. If I could, I'd give them negative stars. read more
