Safe Haven Security…read morecustomer service receives 5 stars in helping me fix his *unethical doing and misrepresentation of the company's mission in providing safety. As a first time home buyer, we were receiving a lot of calls and had a lot of things on our "check list" to prepare for purchase of the home and moving. ERNEST used my realtor's name to gain my trust to get me to answer his call. He ONLY mentioned ADT not the full company name. In our correspondence I CLEARLY said I am happy to answer some questions but I will need to speak to my partner and call back to confirm. I NEVER called back to give a verbal or WRITTEN confirmation. He used my limited information to create an account, scheduled an install date (DID NOT make me aware), which happened to be when I was out of town with a dead phone (bc why not unplug I was unaware I was needed). My BF answers the door (which by the way DID NOT even confirm text that was sent assuming it was spam bc I knew nothing of Safe Haven Security). and assumes I agreed to something and forgot to tell him (which is out of character for me I'm very organized). Let's them in and by the time he gets me on the phone I FREAK OUT totally creeped out strangers and who knows what company is in our home and tell them to get out immediately. Luckily, we stopped them before equipment was installed, just invasion of privacy and a HOLE IN OUR WALL. And again at that time NO WRITTEN AGREEMENT. I am in sales and baffled that they can come to your home and help themselves to your wall without a countersigned contract from person whose name is on the account (saler created not me). Never received an email to review their policies hell even their full company name. ERNEST in my opinion is a sneaky coward and should NOT be trusted, frankly shouldn't represent this company. ...oh and forgot to mention Ernest conveniently was MIA day of install and for a week after ignoring my calls to cancel whatever account he set up. Thank god for customer service bc he did NOT see his sale through at all I learned my lesson the hard way DO NOT answer phone calls even if they know your realtor and your realtor knows them. Do you research and protect yourself and home!! Hole still in my wall and a constant reminder of this lesson. Personally, I feel Ernest should pay for repair out of his paycheck (not mine or company's), but of course can't get anyone to call back to discuss that request.
