First off, my issue is not actually with this particular branch, but I don't know where else to write out my complaints. Anyway, I was on a family plan cell phone service withmy father where my line was just an added 35 dollars a month to his bill, so not so bad. I had a perfectly functional device, not in need of replacing, but I was offered a plan that promised to be similar to my internet price alone through a promotion.
I ended up agreeing and thepromotion plan details were texted to me for approval and the price shown was indeed about the same as my original internet bill, so I was about ready to agree, but luckily I ready through the details and saw that in was 1 gb data per month, and for a guy like me that loves youtube and mobile games, I need unlimited data, so I would not accept a downgrade of my plan.
The man on the phone apologized for the mistake and said he'd correct it and soon sent me the updated offer stating that it might be a little more. In truth, it ended up being about 20 dollars a month less, which set off alarm bells for me, and I asked why. The reason I was given was that I was at that point only seeing the bill for my mobile service and not my internet, but I was told that the bundling coupons I got from accepting an xfinity mobile acount would be appled to my internet bill, and I was told that the end result would be about the same as my 90 dollar a month original offer.
Needless to say, I ran into trouble immediately. The first phone they mailed me experienced an error and could not be activated, so I had to send it back and get a new one sent to me, but no one told me that the original promotion that made the phone free had ended, so now they wanted to charge me for the replacement phone, I think it was 8.33 a month.
Also, my bill ended up being colsiderably more then 90 dollars a month that I was expecting too, and I called 1-800-COMCAST to resolve the matter and the mobile department said that the internet department needed to fix it and the internet department insisted the mobile departement was responsible, and I practically begged them to direct me to someone that could help, and eventually I was forwardded to a lady who apparently was a top-level manager and she wasn't completely helpful with the overall bill issue, but she offered to write-off the cost of the Cell phone that I wasn't supposed to be charged for in the first place.
Afterwards, I tried again and reached another top level manager and he was much more helpful.
The woman had interupted me every few seconds and seemed like she fely she knew what I was trying to say without actually hearing me out, but the second manager actually seemed to listen to me and tried to fix the issue, or so he claimed.
Anyway, after my bill was supposedly fixed I went to bed and intended to pay my bill the next day, but ended up forgetting, and when I went to pay my bill a couple days later I was surprised to find that 1-800-COMCAST told me I had a zero balance do.
I deluded myself into happiness, thinking that two weeks of hell had led them to waive a months of my bills in compensation, but it seems to have been an error because a bit later I got charged of $113.60 and $75.00.
This was obviouly way more then $90 so I called in to see what was wrong and I was told that I was charged for two months and not one, and when I did the math it was approximately $90 dollars, so I could temporarilly believe that the man I spoke too really had fixed the problem, until I got a $75 dollar bill today and caalled in again.
And it also turns out that only the 113.60 was for two months, so I was still overcharged, and part of the Overcharge is due to two charged of 8.33 for the cell phone that the first supposedly top-level manager lady said she had fixed and credited me the full amount for due too me not being supposed to be charged for it to begin with.
Anyway, based on the second top-level manager patiently listening to me and understanding my situation, and telling me that he fixed the problem, and the numbers seemingly alligning with the problem being fixed last month, I had no idea that I was still charged for the phone, but now I find myself increasingly frustrated.
It seems like I has lied too and misled last month or something, and I am basically wishing I could go back and never switch over to xfinity mobile in the first place.
I didn't have any major issues when I had just Xfinity Internet, but Xfinity mobile has been a non-stop migraine. read more
