I had surgery on my knee to repair ACL/MCL and meniscus tear, and tried Xcelerate after having nominal success with another PT in Thousand Oaks. Met Karissa, and explained to her that I just wasn't going to be satisfied with a "nice PT session", I wanted to be pushed, and feel challenged. All in hope of taking recovery to the next level. Well, I got that and more. And, it's all because of Karissa who is phenomenal. Whether it be a knee massage or a variety of different exercises -- it's always exactly what I need. I feel both that I had a workout and slightly taxed, but always feel great -- because I know I'm pushing forward. Xcelerate has moved several times within the same address, but now they appear to be in the final spot and it's setup really nice. And, during this COVID-19 time, they take great care to be very clean so, as a patient, you have nothing to worry about. I highly recommend Xcelerate PT and Karissa. I've been coming here off and on since 2010. They got me through an ACL replacement, a hip replacement and too numerous to list other accidents I've caused myself over the past decade. I'm someone who is very hard on his body and every time I've tried to overcome person injury and couldn't Ryan was there to save the day. Every time! I first saw Ryan for lower back pain, back in 2016, and after a few sessions of it not going away, Ryan pinpointed where the pain was actually coming from - a hip tear. Ryan was far more accurate than any doctor or X-ray had been for my back and I was completely impressed. Fast forward to November 5, 2020, when I had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder. After the surgery, I developed keloid scarring and frozen shoulder, which greatly reduced my range of motion and caused inflammation, pain, and sleep issues for me. Due to my prior experience with Ryan as my physical therapist, I immediately knew that I wanted him to work with me. Ryan is extremely knowledgeable and intuitive about the musculoskeletal system and body mechanics and his exceptional skill and diligence shine through in his work. He goes out of his way to explain why I am experiencing pain in various parts of my shoulder and the surrounding areas and why it is happening. Ryan is able to identify the source of the pain and effectively treat me. Ryan has spent countless hours using massage and manipulation, to work out all the "kinks" in my shoulder joint/area, and get it moving again. Because of Ryan's diligence, I was able to avoid a trip back to my doctor for either a steroid injection or a medical procedure, under anesthesia, to regain shoulder mobility. Under Ryan's care, my shoulder is continuing to gain strength and mobility every week and I have no doubt that he will get my shoulder fully functioning again. His sense of humor has always been an added bonus for me during my physical therapy sessions. I feel fortunate to have him as my physical therapist. read more

PT can be very tough - and I have a severe shoulder injury - Brandon and Tido are AMAZING - going to Xcelerate has been life changing. They are wonderful, and you know they truly care about your well being. They learned my very difficult to pronounce name by the second visit I was there, and they always go the extra mile. I'm a 38 yr old Taekwondo practitioner. I've been training for about 20 years now, and this is the second time I've been through an ACL reconstruction (once on each side) 10 months ago I had surgery to reconstruct my ACL, repair MCL and meniscal tear (Dr. Walter Thomas) following an improper landing from a jumping kick. I have just been given the all-clear from physiotherapy and Dr. Thomas! This place is terrible. The Physical therapists, are very mediocre and uninterested, it seems they do not care for your health at all, they just want to schedule you for more sessions. They do not care about making the client healthier, and have a very limited understanding of the human body, and treating injuries. Seriously avoid this place, and all the fake reviews lmao. Recently I underwent hip surgery for FAI, microfracture, and labral tear. My doctor referred me to Xcelerate Physical Therapy. I've never had PT before so I didn't know what to expect. I have to say that my experience with Xceletate has been very positive. My physical therapist, Rebecca, really knows her stuff. I've been in a lot of pain but I know that when I see Rebecca she will do her utmost to alleviate it. I trust her completely and highly recommend her. I have been in multiple car accidents since moving to LA, one about 7 years ago that created a bad sciatic issue, which was exacerbated by the fact that my work requires me to sit a desk 60-100 hours a week. I tried so many different treatments to no avail, including injections, pills, etc. Brandon was amazing; he really took the time to listen to my issues and went out of his way to help me find an out of the box method to rectify my problem. He introduced me to Aggie, who I worked with for about a year, and the things she taught me really did change my life. Sorry I can't give more than 3 stars. There has not yet been any billing issues (may be too early to say) but after coming here on several visits I felt very little, if any improvements, despite doing my homework vigorously and religiously. The initial start was ok, but then there seems to be an almost total lack of interest and time in my case. My appointments were also messed up, I got called for one I never made and came to one they somehow messed up. I kept meticulous written notes for my appointments. There were most often (each visit) inexperienced assistants working with me, they were nice but seemed pretty clueless. Fairly useless. I also ended up with a permanent injury to my skin that might not be fully reversible. Some annoying things they do is, have full blown personal conversations, while working on you at the tables. As much as I like a casual atmosphere, this was pretty unprofessional, they somehow assume you're deaf or don't care, they don't seem to get or care that if you're face down, you can still hear. With so many PT places to chose from I see no reason to go here. I give 3 stars because they made an initial effort, but it probably should be 2. It doesn't mean that every PT person there is bad, probably more that the organization and the way it's run is poor. Basically, I unfortunately can't recommend this place. read more
