*Scammers* I was assigned to Teresis through the Department of Veteran's Affairs Community Care Team. After attending two appointments, they tried to get me to sign a financial agreement of some kind with them. I tried reminding them my appointments were covered by the VA and should not have any cost incurred with them. They then tried to get me to sign an authorization allowing them to bill my private insurance. Again, all billing for VA referrals is handled through DVA at no cost to Veterans. They refused to provide treatment and I left. Insurance fraud greatly increases the cost of medical services, which impacts marginalized communities every day. Preying upon disabled veterans to line your pockets is just low. read more

I could not have been more pleased with the PT care I received at Telesis Physical Therapy in Thousand Oaks. I had 5 sessions pre-op for a total hip replacement and 12 sessions post-op. Tim S. got me through the process from walker to back on my feet and feeling great in 2 months. The staff were all exceptionally nice, attentive and knowledgeable. I was never pushed beyond my comfort zone. Tim listened to me and answered any and all questions I had and tailored by sessions to address issues of recovery week-to-week. Scheduling was always accommodating, the facility was top notch, with new and modern equipment, exceptionally clean and cheerful. Billing was never an issue. No matter - you'll get top flight, A+ quality service. Other places in town, will accept WC, but have inept scheduling. Other places, won't accept WC, but provide top flight service. Derrick is nurturing, caring amazingly insightful and talented along with knowing exactly how far and hard to push you in diagnosing your needs and getting you healed. I came to Derrick on a referral from Kerlan-Jobe orthopedist group the gold standard in the sports world after my ACL surgery and he worked wonders in getting me in better shape than when I was playing. As a former UCLA athlete it took a lot for me to go to Derrick and Telesis because he is a devoted USC educated physician lol... He has also recently worked on my son who was injured in a club soccer match and Derrick is and will always be not only my go too but the only person who I trust with my physical well being. Telesis physical therapy is the BEST. I've done 2 stints there over the past 2 years for TMJ related issues. Derrick is the Master of alleviating TMJ related stress and pain. He knows the trigger points, and can pinpoint the cause of it. Cara is also a PT guru, helping me work through some back pain. The staff has always been super friendly and professional. Love, love, love this facility. Both my husband and I have been attending PT at Telesis since February, 2017. The entire staff, from the front desk, to the assistances, to the therapists are fantastic. Everyone is considerate of both your physical and emotional needs at the time of therapy. We see both Christa and Cara (currently on maternity leave) but know if they are not available Hannah, Brian or Derrick are there for us. The assistance staff is amazing. Caring about all the patients and seeing to their needs. They (cannot name them all as I might forget someone) kind, considerate and thoughtful. Appointment times are fairly easy to get. I originally went to Telesis due to a knee injury about a year ago. What a great find! The staff is all very professional & knowledgable & somehow they actually make physical therapy fun. This review is for services provided to me at both the Thousand Oaks and Camarillo offices. I was treated for tendinitis in my wrist over approximately a two month period (2 days a week). I was hardly able to lift objects or use my wrist when I came in due to heavy physical activity the weeks prior. Derek and his staff immediately identified the problem, developed a treatment plan and got underway. I started feeling much better after just a week or two of treatment. I took some time off from sports for a few weeks and just focused on my PT. When I jumped back into mountain biking, ATV riding and now snowboarding this most recent trip out, I can honestly say my wrist is much stronger and significantly improved in functionality as well as minimized pain. I would probably feel no pain if I gave up my outdoor activities, but I am not ready to do that for a while yet. Anyways, these guys are all very caring and considerate. They run a professional operation and will help you get recovery results if you are in need of PT. The two locations are well equipped, clean and the staff is all very friendly. I highly recommend this place. Just to give some weight to my review, I have been through PT 3x for different injuries and this was the best yet! I went to Telesis for lower leg pain. I enjoy running as my primary form of exercise, and participate in at least one half marathon per year, as well as many other races. When I began having leg pain I was devastated! I was referred to Telesis and immediately felt improvement after my first treatment. I had Crista. This place is a fairly busy place, but it's not impossible to get an appointment. They are also open fairly late which is a plus. I went for my neck after having spinal fusion.They are, so far, really big into soft tissue work (myofascial release and massage) with a bit of added exercise. I think this is very valuable to someone with chronic pain, such as me. The reason I knocked off a star is I haven't been improving as fast as I would like, and will be going back to my old PT in Moorpark (Plexus). The reason I went to this one is because it was closer, but I would prefer Plexus. At Telesis you get half an hour with the physical therapist (who is excellent by the way), and the rest of the time is with aids. Last I knew, at Plexus it's all done by the owner and his gf, and they are both very knowledgeable. The aids at this place are not the most informed, and my visit is constantly interrupted by them asking Crista what to do next for the other patients. I understand that this is a way to fit more patients in a day, but I prefer the smaller office with Chester. One plus about this place is you do get to choose between a room and the open space, which is nice. I prefer the room option. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Telesis. Currently, I'm recovering from knee replacement surgery and I've been here for other knee surgeries. My husband has also been seen for a myriad of surgeries and we've always received excellent treatment. After returning from the hospital after this surgery, I had to wait a couple of weeks to go to Telesis and I could hardly wait to get here. I typically see Derrick or Bryan and both are excellent at what they do. Both are knowledgeable and personable and never seem to tire of my endless questions. The front office staff and all the assistants are friendly and helpful. I've been coming here a long time and it's great to see former assistants working as therapists, that is so awesome! I appreciate how everybody has a great sense of humor and how welcome they make you feel. As ridiculous as this sounds, I'll miss coming to Telesis once my time is up. read more

My father recently received physical therapy at a hospital outpatient clinic. He received 6 visits here and then was informed that he had exceeded his Medicare benefits. His knee was replaced over 8 months ago and he still had a lot of difficulty with bending and straightening his leg. It was pretty obvious that his lack of knee movements were changing how he walked. One of the physical therapists at the hospital clinic suggested that he try Telesis PT for some ongoing treatment and to see if there was anything they could do with his almost depleted Medicare limits. He received one visit at Telesis and in my father's words "it was fantastic." We also learned that Telesis was willing to extend to all Medicare patients 18 visits of care. Unfortunately, we had used all of his medicare at this other clinic for only 6 treatments. I wish we had found Telesis sooner! There is great care, patience and understanding and the staff seems to want to see people be successful with the recovery! read more
